Lacee Kovacs

After narrowly missing out on a CrossFit Games bid in 2012, Hungarian Lacee Kovacs stormed on the scene in 2013, winning the European Regional (beating out his hero Mikko Salo) and continuing the momentum with a Top 25 finish in his first appearance at the Games. With a determination and work ethic initially developed through 14 years of competitive judo training, Kovacs battled through a lingering elbow injury in 2014. This led to a disappointing showing in Regionals, but it’s only helped refocus Kovacs for a return to form in 2015, as he looks to reclaim his place as Europe’s best.
