Rich Froning Jr.
As the winner of four consecutive Reebok CrossFit Games (2011-2014), Rich Froning has dominated the title of “Fittest Man on Earth” like no one before him. The former firefighter from Cookeville, Tennessee, first took up CrossFit in 2009 and made his Games debut a year later, finishing second overall. Every year since, the 5’9”, 195 LB Froning has defeated a growing pool of determined challengers to stand at the top of his sport.
As a Rogue athlete, Froning has helped develop his own line of Signature Series Rogue gear, including Rogue Froning Barbells, Froning Series Knee Supports, and original t-shirts and apparel featuring the Froning *R logo. His 2013 book, First: What It Takes to Win, shares many of his methods for success, including his spiritual drive, strict workout schedule, and not-so-strict diet.
Rich announced his retirement from individual competition after the 2014 Games but remains active in team events. He lives in Cookeville with his wife Hillary and daughter Lakelyn.
