The Rogue Axle - Powdercoated is rated 3.6667 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Stiff and functional, finish is lacking I've used this for deadlifts, bench press and overhead press for weight up to 300lb without issue - there's no deflection whatsoever, the bar is rock solid. However, the coating chipped off in the j-hooks on the first usage, and is down to bare metal at all points that have touched a j-hook. The sleeves are likewise pretty bare from plates chipping off the finishing (5 months of use). And since the sleeves are a non standard size, plates slip around on them all the time. If the coating were durable, the collars were a standard width instead of smaller than standard, and the bar had standard width markers, it would be perfect. Of course - the price is excellent, and the value for the cost is certainly there!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Bar, Could Be Great Bar The bar holds a lot of weight without any bend or warp. It hold up to repeated drops with heavy weight without any issues. The only issue I have is after a few uses the paint begins to flake off on the collars. I emailed Rogue and they said they were looking into fixing this issue, but my only concern is any eventual rusting. Also, the Rogue brand is glued/stuck to the middle and after a few axle cleans is starting to come off, maybe this should be painted on in the future.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor Powdercoating Axle's are great for increasing/developing grip strength. The reason for my low rating of this bar is because of the finish. The powdercoating is chipping off the bar with less than 5 uses. This is not what you would expect from a Rogue product. I am not the only one experiencing this issue with Rogue's powdercoating. Rogue needs to address this issue.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Powder coat chipping after use. I got the Rogue Powder Coated Axle about two weeks ago. Great axle and solid welds but after one use when I racked it on my ES-1 squat rack the powder coating chipped and flaked where it was contacting the J-cups. I would think the powder coat would stand up to more of a beating.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I like it alot! I just received my powder coated axle. I like it a lot. I have big hands, so it fit nicely. I used it for set of 10 deadlifts to a set of ten standing press. Oddly, I was able to go deeper in the deadlift. My only suggestion would be to add gnurling. reps 8-10 of the press were killer because of the sweat. But, since I had to bear down with my grip, maybe that is the idea. As usual, solid product.
