The Econ Westside bar is made with the same high tensile strength steel shaft as the Westside Power Bar but we use a pinned end cap construction to keep the cost low. This is a 29mm powerlifting bar designed to the specs of Louie Simmons founder of Westside Barbell. This bar features an aggressive deep knurl that is well suited to the big 3 lifts: squat, bench and deadlift. This bar has single powerlifting knurl marks and a center knurl to keep the bar in place during the heaviest of squats.

Review by Stellar power barQualityI bought this bar a couple weeks ago for our squat and bench sessions and couldn't be happier. Great look and feel in the hands and on the back. The knurling is super aggressive all the way out to the sleeves but the center knurling is not as sharp to avoid tearing up your back. It's a very stiff bar, I was box squatting over 700lbs last week and there was almost no flex. Probably not the best bar for deadlifts as there is no whip to it at all but I expected that.
