Great for lifting not so much for running.
Review by CrossfitterQualityI was looking to replace my F-lite 195s with these and really liked these initially for the rope guard as one side of my 195s was roasted by a rope descent. They are great for short sprints and everything lifting. I do not like them for any kind of distance run. the soles are very stiff and the toe box really slaps the ground, which feels awkward to me and not to mention the slapping is very loud in my opinion. Review by JeffQualityThis is a nearly perfect shoe for anyone looking for a stable, minimal, versatile trainer. The outsole seems like a good mix of durability and flexibility and maintains traction and grip on a variety of surfaces (including ropes.) The heel has a slight edge to it underfoot, which is great for movements that require a stable platform.| Review for: Inov8 Bare XF 210 Silver/Blue
The only thing that knocked this shoe down from five stars to four is that the toe box is abnormally wide, especially compared with the rest of the shoe. It looks like Inov-8 was attempting to create a fit more closely resembling the shape of a bare foot, but they may have overcompensated. If you can try them on in person I recommend doing so, as you might find yourself going a half-size smaller than usual.

Review by ZackQualityThese are my first pair of Inov8's and also first minimalist shoe I've tried. Definitely took some getting used to but feel great lifting in them. Running and some of the other movements like box jumps I feel more in my joints but after the first few times they're not as bad. Review by robQualityThese run a bit narrow compared to other inov-8s. I just loosened them up and they were fine. These are basically like wearing a shoe version of VFFs. They are super minimal and stiff soled, while maintaining a flexible forefoot. That being said, box jumps can hurt if you're going for speed and using a quick rebound. Large sets of DU's might also tax your shins. They feel 100% bomber for deadlifts, jerks, and anything else where you wish you were barefoot. 4 stars because they aren't, in my opinion, as well rounded for crossfit as other inov-8s given how minimal they are. I'd rather use my x-road233s for something with box jumps and/or double unders, and spare my joints the impact stress with a slightly more substantial sole.| Review for: Inov8 Bare XF 210 Silver/BlueLove them

Review by ScrubsQualityI have been crossfitting in the inov-8 230s and 195s. The bare XFs are even better. The zero drop sole is great for o-lifting and the shoe is comfortable.
