Andy dropped off a tire today, thank you from the Rogue staff.
Mongo like tire! Pick it up Dave!
Caity taught some basic ladder drills in the noon!
This was followed by a 2000M Row, that was interesting! The 2000M distance is the competition distance that all crew teams compete with. Brian Volpenhein pulled a 5:56 at OSU a few weekends ago, Kevin pulled a 6:56 tonight!
We love the Jerk, we love the speed, and crave the explosion. The Jerk doesn't always listen to us, so every now and then we have to show it who is boss. Today all of the Rogue Warriors had just that chance. Moving 100 plus LBS over your head is never an easy task, let alone doing it with two other exercises for 15 minutes. How did the victims do? There are no victims here only winners!

Nice work Tasha
Watch your local weather channel and follow the driving restrictions and warnings.
WE ARE GOING TO JOIN THE TWO CLASSES TONIGHT AT 6PM DUE TO THE ROAD CONDITIONS, IF YOU GET HERE EARLY YOU CAN WORK ON YOUR LIFTS OR ROWING!
Thats right tonight we did 100 nonstop bodyweight squats for our level 2 warmup. Thursdays are a great night to train at Rogue, stop in and check it out.
Nice work J-

Great work level 2

I am curious how many of our clients would tell stories of how they have achieved goals that seemed impossible. Maybe it was Caroline and people told her she should not do this it is too difficult, she just pulled 300lbs on a deadlift and participated in a Level 3 workout. The Whitehall Fire Department has an endless supply of success stories, they filled up our noon class about a month ago. After dealing with Dave's endless questions about how to duplicate what we do, he did 16 rounds in Cindy today! Dennis and Mongo getting pullups.
Ilya just told us that he started out at 171lbs and now weighs 197 that was his goal to put on muscle. Our advice work hard and eat meat! Pretty simple advice, pretty simple process but a ton of support.
Dan Horn will be posting his results from his weight loss competition, he lost 26lbs and put on 3lbs of muscle. Pretty good stuff, I invite you to meet our clients they love to talk about their experiences at Rogue Fitness!
Stay home...Stay warm....Have fun

A little snow at Rogue today, Kevin and Catie came in for some lifting. We tested out the New Rogue Bar, pretty sweet!

The party at Sarah and Kevin's is still on for those willing to make the journey, Vic fixed all the vittles! By the way Sarah and Caity took a test on http://www.keirsey.com to see what personality type they are, they both have personalities similar to Paris Hilton. Party may get crazy tonight!
Catie got stuck in the snow, hmm interesting time to test our theory on the Rogue Ring straps. The straps didn't budge in the buckle and we pulled her about 600 Meters. Thought you might want to see the video!
The snow is melting here at Rogue, and now it's time to get serious for Summer! If you have been avoiding workouts, or tired of slow results then join the Revolution here at RogueFitness. Our clients spent last week perfecting the finer details of weightlifting (Olympic lifts), and this week we see the increased speed and flexibility. What will we do this week, come in and find out.

Troy teaching Eric the Med Ball Clean, you only need one arm to teach the clean!

Dennis the Menace is back, just when we thought he was going to ring the bell! Welcome back!

Floor presses, Rogue Physical Therapy!
For those of you that have now taken 4 days off with the snow, time to get back at it. I won't mention any names J, Clancy, Cat, Caroline, Doc, Tim, Nik, Brian, Stephanie, Jonathan, Andy, Robin, Tasha, Jesse, Vic! That just names a few of you folks that need to get back in here, we actually want you to attain your goals!

The noon crew!

The madness! OHS, AbMat Situps, Divebombers and Pullups - Simple!

Jerry has lost 26lbs and can now rack off pullups, Whitehall FD is representing Columbus, OH. I smell a challenge to other firefighters out there that think they can smoke these guys.

Partner Pistol Squats - Can you do it?
Look at the schedule on Friday, we have merged the 530/630 to the 6PM All Level. We then added a 5-6PM Open Strength and Conditioning session, this is for Level 2 clients only, see your instructor for approval!
Today we did a workout based on getting lots of weight overhead, then testing overall endurance by mixing rowing and pullups.
The noon crew getting after it!
No problem getting deep!
New personal bests?
Strength and training classes are opening up on Friday and are still open on Saturday. If you missed the strength training today stop in and catch our session tomorrow at 10AM. Good work this week, keep it up.

Today was another great mess of people and intensity. The ladies really represented, dominating the gym. The level 3's had no problem with a serious workload, then went on to set some strength PRs. Awesome job everyone!
The aftermath of the Level 3 workout
Today we did the quick CrossFit benchmark "Helen" She was a nice break from the recent grinder's we've been doing lately. It was also great to finally get back outside after being holed up for Ohio's winter months!
Full extension!
One of our own from the beginning will be leaving us soon. Long time Rogue athlete and friend, Eric Riethman, graduated from Ohio State on Sunday with a degree in Chemical Engineering and also commissioned as an officer into the Air Force. He will be off to Andrews Air Force Base at the end of the month for casual status and then will start pilot training some time after that. The Rogue staff wish you well Eric, and know that you will be missed!
Hopefully you'll get to do this someday!
Intensity is the difference between a winning performance and a waste of time. Intensity makes all the difference in the world, and it defines everything we do at Rogue. All the classes today performed a short and seemingly easy workout, but turned it into a madhouse by throwing the intensity through the roof. Killer work today!
A battle is brewing between the noon class and level 2. The best time for todays grueling kettlebell workout was accomplished by a level 2 member. However the best overall class time was achieved by the noon class. Seems like the noon class is looking to gain a little respect from the other levels. How long has it been since you were part of a team, join the revolution today!

The overall winner is!

Simple rope drill for the Level 2 class tonight

Troy doing some weapons training with the elderly!
Is this really intense? Or functional?
Compare to the videos on the front page and make up your own mind.
Everyone came together to put down tons of work today! Lots of heavy and light front squats!
Eric chokes out Troy!
Today we finally were able to put our brand new Duvide dS speed ropes to good use!
Everyone got instructions on the basics of using a speed rope (more complicated than you might think) and applied it in a short but intense Tabata interval workout.
Great job everyone!
Big E knocking out some jump ropes in the Elements class tonight.
Getting those kettlebells moving mixed with sprints, good times!
The weather is starting to turn and we have had the opportunity to get outside! The NEW Elements program is great, we start a new cycle every Monday. Call to get signed up there are limited slots for each class.
Soon the Sign up page will change on our site, the 10 pass and drop in will go away. Our new elements program is a great introduction to the pipeline. We want to see you 3-4 times a week and the 10 pass creates bad habits.
It didn't take long for the speed to come back! All classes showed unprecedented intensity today!
Keep it up, let's finish the week strong!
Friday was another exciting day at Rogue Fitness. Our clients smashed through another crazy workout. That doesnt mean you are excused from the Saturday WOD, festivities start at 10AM.
See you there!
The Saturday Rogueapalooza Crew got a surprise dose of Spartan training today! The place was packed with excitement as everyone hard charged through the workout. Everyone, including our recent Elements graduates, finished all 300 reps in under 25 minutes and as prescribed!
Great work Rogue Warriors!
BIG E!!
The next Elements class cycle starts again tomorrow! If you are interested in coming to Rogue, tomorrow is your chance to get started! Elements 1 classes are at 11:00am, 4:30 pm, and 7:30pm. Give us a call at 614-358-6190 to let us know you're coming.
We want you!!!

Sign of a warrior, chalk prints on your pants!
Mike has really stepped it up, I am very impressed with everyone turning the gear.
April is Pullup Month - Everyone will get a pullup in April - no excuses!
