Great Week!

What a great ending to a great week here at Rogue. We have had some great workouts all week, and today was no different. The intensity in the gym has been off the charts.
Don't forget to come cheer on our Rogue athlete Kevin Mueller at the Fairgrounds tomorrow. He starts his lifts at 2pm!

J using the new log instead of the bar during the Level 3 workout today. Thrusters are not fun with this bad boy!

Sunday's all level workout was 2 person team event that involved a little strategy and teamwork. Cara linked up the teams and they were off to the races. Rowing, running, pushups and pullups. NICE JOB AMY AND KELLY FOR BRINGING IT HOME.

Today's workout involved sprints and push jerks! Sometimes a simple coupling of movements can produce a tough workout.

All the athletes did extremely well with the deadlift strength session. Tonya put 25lbs on her previous PR of 200

She always looks around for approval after a lift, awesome job!

Hard Work = Achieving Your Goals

Today's workout was a test to see who came prepared. Our clients worked on the snatch...

Eddie coaching the Olympic lifts with the training bars. We take a great deal of pride in our ability to slow down and coach. We built our system with Elements and Level training in order for folks of all abilities and backgrounds to train with each other. We don't cater to anyone except for people that are willing to work hard. Results don't come easily and life teaches us that everyday.

Good Example: Carolyn Thomas has dropped 3 shirt sizes in the past 6 months. Normally I wouldn't point out a woman's shirt size but this is freaking awesome. She recently injured her hand and comes in 4-5 times a week just to be involved and sub exercises. If you see her out and about and/or teaching class congratulate her on her accomplishments. WE ARE VERY PROUD OF OUR ATHLETES!

2000 meters.

All of our athletes got a taste of what it would like to be on a Crew team today. We pulled 2000m today in every class. For our athletes that have attempted this before, they knew what to expect and improved on their times. For the rest, they had fun learning that 2000m is not a sprint. Everyone had fun and did a great job. The prize for pulling the 2000... the rest of the workout!
