Get the most out of your workout with lifting straps. When you're hitting max weights or doing high volume, don't lose a lift to a torn callous or tired grip. Great for hang snatches, heavy pulls, and heavy deadlifts.

Made of thick, yet supple leather. No break-in required.

Risto Leather Lifting Straps are made in Maine, USA.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Weightlifting (NOT POWERLIFTING) Straps These are some of the best weightlifting straps out there. Bottom-line up front: if you are a serious weightlifter (and by weightlifting, I mean Olympic lifting), these are a really solid option if you like a little length to your straps. To hopefully clarify some things for people: These are weightlifting straps, not to be mistaken with powerlifting straps. These are constructed such that you loop them around the bar once (not like the example picture), which allows you to get out of them quickly -- this is extremely important, especially if you intend to snatch in them. Powerlifting straps are designed to fit tight around your wrist and wrap several times around the bar so that you have the strongest grip possible. That's okay for powerlifting and performing slower lifts, but not ideal (and potentially dangerous) for performing faster lifts like the snatch. Straps are mostly used for heavy pulls and extensions, but may also be used for snatching. It is not recommended that you use them for cleans, as they are more difficult to release if you need to dump from the rack position (this can lead to injuries). You should certainly never attempt PR cleans with straps. These leather straps are a little longer than other brands, such as Average Broz or Ironmind, but I, as well as many of my lifters, prefer the length. The leather is stiff to begin with, but give it two weeks, and they'll be supple and shape to your wrist. They are really comfortable and durable. Most of our weightlifting club uses these Risto straps. I highly recommend these straps, but make sure you learn how to use them properly. It is not safe to perform the classic lifts with straps if you have not learned how to do so safely.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Suggestion to Aaron Maggetti I don't own these, but I am using the same kind of simple piece of nylon strap (no loops, no velcro, nothing). All you have to do is to wrap it around the wrist once and then around the bar - works amazing! Better then the regular "loop" style straps, which tend to stop the blood circulation. Just don't use them like the picture is showing, it's really useless that way.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Never Going Back To Nylon These leather straps where well worth the money. My other straps have officially been retired and never will come out again. The more you use these straps the better they feel. I'm truly in love my Risto Lifting Straps.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome I just love leather, so I'm kinda biased. That being said, I love these straps. They performed well right out of the box with some heavy heavy snatch pulls. Love them for days when my hands are just way to chewed up to train. Great product....and they are leather!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from It figures that a cross fitter would give these five stars (not a real powerlifter) Lifters who actually know what a wrist wrap is intended to do, would not be advised to get these. Make sure you take a close look at the picture so that you know what you're getting. These are not traditional wraps where you loop one end through the other and cinch it tight around your wrist and then around the bar; this is simply a long piece of leather with the ends sewn together. Therefore, there is nothing to wrap around other than the bar without this loop and will most likely have to be taken off after each lift because there is nothing to keep them in place. It's hard to explain without a visual to give everyone but I find this design to be inefficient and pointless for what lifting straps are intended to do.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Immediate improvement I used these the day that they arrived. They didn't need to be broken in, I just wrapped them on a bar straight out of the box. I had a better grip on the bar, and I noticed that it helped keep my elbows up when doing squat cleans. I can't wait to use these to PR on the Oly lifts this weekend,
