Rogue Hi-Temp Bumper Plates have received a minor cosmetic update. The plates on this page are the old style and are only available for a limited time. To purchase the new version, click here.

The most durable bumper plate of them all.

Made for more than a decade at the Hi-Temp plant in Tuscumbia, Alabama, these ultra heavy-duty Rogue bumper plates are one of the few American-made bumpers on the market. By no coincidence, they also rank among the very best—vouched for by gym owners, competitive weightlifters, and strength training specialists, alike.

Finding a happy medium between the dangerous clang of old-school iron plates and the springy bounce of some imported bumpers, Hi-Temps are built from a nearly indestructible marriage of recycled, vulcanized rubber and a 2" stainless steel insert. Better still, the collar on Hi-Temp bumpers is inset from the plane of the plate, allowing for better protection when multiple plates are on the bar, and reducing the risk of inserts getting impacted or popping out.

These are not your father's dispensable bumper plates. Tough enough to handle the punishment of intense daily use (be it in a high school weight room, an Olympic training center, or your own home gym), your Rogue Hi-Temp bumpers are guaranteed to last for the long haul. Measuring 17.5" in diameter, they're available in weights of 10, 25, 35, and 45 pounds, with five different bumper set packages to choose from.

With Rogue and Hi-Temp, you're buying American, and you're buying the best. Be sure to check out the Reviews sections to see what recent customers had to say about their experience with Rogue Bumper Plates by Hi-Temp. And feel free to contact us if you have any questions about your bumper set ordering options.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Garage Gym Essential! These rock in the garage and driveway. If you want to work out in your garage order these. Yes, they bounce with the tens and fifteens, but what do you expect, they're car tires! The tens waffle a little when they are on the bar by themselves, but they are still really strong and should last a long time to come.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best These are my favorite bumper plates. Made in USA. Recycled Rubber. You feel proud lifting these. I lift exclusively with bumpers because I can afford it and because I don't lift over 405lb so I have plenty of room on the bar. Keep in mind these don't pair well with 45lb iron plates since the diameter of the most iron plates is slightly larger. I've owned Rogue's Hi Temp bumpers for 5+ years 3-4 times a week and they are still going strong. I expect at least another 5 more years of life. The 45 and 25 lb weights are very, very solid and the 15s are not bad either. The 10's are nothing to write home about. If I could do it all over again I'd skip the 10's (I have 3 sets) and spent the money on an extra set of 25s.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for home. I got these for my garage gym, epic for inconsistent surfaces. I have some of the HG plates and VTX, too, but they have put little dents in the asphalt in my driveway. The HG have epic bounce and can be dropped and used anywhere. If your in an affiliate with close quarters like we are, you might consider the HGs. Those high temps get bouncing and are somewhat unpredictable with 25's or less on. We've had a few close calls where the bar has shot out to the right or left and almost hit the person next to them mid-thruster. Also, if your a heavy hitter, make sure you get some metal plates for deadlifting, I can barely get 455 on the bar. Gotta use bands to keep them all tied on the bar.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Made from old tires, but cannot be used as actual tires Using these on a daily basis for almost 2 years and they look like the day I bought them (bought the 190lb set). I've dropped them on smooth concrete, rubber mats, and even rough driveway concrete with very little to no wear. Even the 10lb pair show no sign of cracks. Great entry level set and even better for the environment. Save the virgin rubber for the bedroom.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid Training Plate I ordered a pair of the 15lb plates before I decided to buy anymore. The shipment to my APO was fairly quick and surprising. The plates overall quality is good, the appearance is average, I think I am going to try a set of 35lb plates in the HG Brand.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Bumpers I chose bumpers for my home gym to make it easier to bail on squats, and drop the weights if necessary. These bumpers are good for general purpose and a home gym, most bumpers were fine, I had an issue with a couple being real rough, one 10lb bumper was in really bad shape, but Rogue immediately shipped a replacement 10lb bumper after showing a photo of the bumper. I gave four stars because they're not perfect, but they are very good for the price and perfect for a home gym.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Happy with my purchase I started out buying the 10 pound plates just to work on technique. I have now bought the 15, 25 and 35 pound plates. I am happy with the quality and that they are made here in the USA. I will be purchasing the 45 pound plates soon. Thank you Rogue for good quality equipment!! Would have given 5 stars but the 10 pound plates fit tight on bar.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Go To bumper These are the first set of bumbler plates I got for my garage gym and mobile training they can take a beating doesn't matter if its concrete in your garage, assault on the street or rubber padding in a gym these plates take the abuse. The only issue is the known high bounce, but for the every day use where ever when ever these are the plates you want to go to!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very durable plates I have had these for a year and a half now and they are very durable and high quality. They do bounce quite a bit but nothing uncontrollable. I have used these indoors and outdoors, on rubber and pavement and they really hold up well. Very pleased with this purchase, they are worth the money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Economical and Sturdy Bumpers The price point for these bumper plates were right up my alley. When they finally arrived at my house I was happy to see how durable these things really are. I beat the snot out of these things on the regular and they have yet to show any signs of wear. The 45lb bumper plates are double the width of your standard iron plate. Unless your pulling big numbers, you should have enough room on a standard bar to fit all the weight you need. These are great for starting strength and will still be useful after you upgrade to the Olympic Style bumper plates.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hi-temp vs HG Asked Rouge which plate was more durable Hi-temp or HG's: Answer: "The Hi Temps are certainly the most durable plates on the market. We cannot give an exact time frame as far as how long the HGs will last because there are so many variables at play; however there is a warranty of 3 years on the 25-45 plates and 90 days on the 10s and 15s." Overall, i'm happy with my purchase of th hi-temps. Little bouncy, but take a beating without wear and tear. Also, great team at Rouge!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Rugged in every sense of the word I bought a year ago which included 45s, 35s, 25s, 15s and 10s. I love them, but I would not buy the 10s again. If used by themselves, they aren't rigid enough to last a long time. I worry about the ring popping out while being dropped. However, they are perfect when added to other plates. The rest of the plates are fantastic! I did notice, however, that there are small material fragments jutting off the edges that can cut the skin if I grab it too quickly or slide my hand along the outer rim of the plate. I think this has to do with the recycled materials being used for the manufacturing process. I bought these from Rogue along with the barbell, collars, S-2 squat stand, Games jump box, etc. Great company and great products.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product Ordered these w/my S2 a month ago. Some were on backorder but the first plates arrived w/in 48 hours. I store these covered outside, will probably move indoors when it gets nasty out. Good quality bumpers, very happy w/my purchase. Rogues customer service is A+

Rated 4 out of 5 by from good product, wish QA/QC was better I run a Crossfit gym and have spent appx $10,000 in the past year on products from rogue. Overall the quality is great, but I had ordered a batch of 25# hi temp plates where one had a defective center around the retaining ring. Customer service told me they would replace it when it fell out. I just wish the person checking the orders before they shipped would look them over better, as it arrived with the center ring hanging out and a tear around the rubber. Other than this time customer service has been great, this issue does make me scratch my head a bit.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for CrossFit Love these so much, I bought another set. Only problem is the 10s have a sleeve that pops out. Never had this happen in the ones I got in '09, but these happen often. I have managed to put the sleeve back in with some gorilla glue and they are holding up well. Only an issue with the 10s.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great product even better price Great bumpers, reasonable price. I was unsure if I wanted anything other than the comp plates but I am extremely pleased with my purchase. There isn't too much bounce and the weight can take a better beating than many others. Don't go for the VTX or other lower brands! This should be the bumpers you get if you don't have $1000 to spend

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great plates These things hold up well to lots of outdoor abuse. Even the 10/15# plates are solid if you treat them right. These are a great buy for the money.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good I like the quality and sturdiness, BUT I swear the plates I received are 1/4 - 1/2" less diameter than my iron plates and Body Solid bumpers. As a result, these bumpers don't take the brunt of impact on drops or even touch the floor when loaded with other bumpers.
Date published: 2013-05-16
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good bumpers except for the 10s I really like these bumpers, practically indestructible so far, even the 10s. I had two small gripes: the sleeves had a lot of grease on them from the factory that needed to be wiped off, and the weight on the 10s is not very consistent. I got two pairs, and here are their weights: 9.2 lbs,, 10 lbs., 10.2 lbs. and 10.4 lbs. I expected a bit of variance, but not that much. But, overall, for a garage gym, I'm still happy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pretty good. These all seem nice and sturdy - except for the 10s which I worry about. All plates were about half a pound light, but most were within 4oz of each other in weight.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Bumpers except for the 10s very durable bumpers, except for the 10s. I have not put the 10s through a torture test but I doubt that they will survive the drop test. Also one bumper does not slide on to the bar without effort.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The better choice When looking for bumpers for a box, spend the little extra for the high quality. My clients and I have throw and dropped the weights without issue. Much better than the HG Rogue Bumpers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Must have for Garage Gym These bumpers are a must have for you garage gym. They'll take a beating. Upon opening the box, the bumpers were a little odious, but that's expected from rubber bumpers. The odor went away after a few days. One reviewer said he got really high bounce from his bumpers, and I've dropped mine from shoulder height, the first bounce was maybe 6-8 inches, but it deadens really fast. I have NO complaints!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Product, Better Service Product only arrived a week ago but looking at the product it is going to last! My experience with customer service was excellent. I experienced a problem with shipping and a warranty issue. Rogue customer service is the best I have ever worked with hands down. If you have a problem they will fix it fast, and correct the first time. Their promptness with contacting me and fixing my problem is the reason I have chosen to write my first review on anything I have ever bought. Whatever fitness item you need, buy Rogue because if their products are like their customer service its going to be impressive! A loyal customer for life.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Foundation of a Garage Gym I've been using these things for over 2 years now and they are awesome. Super tough. No way I'm going back to a regular gym with these and my horse-stall mats. It lets me go all out. Clear the area for the bounce though. I've broken a few plastic containers on accident when the bar bounced into them. Extremely happy with this product and it's durability.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality I had been using these bumpers at my old crossfit gym and saw how much of a beating they could take, so when it was time to buy some for my garage gym I was not hesitant to buy some for myself. I am very pleased with them and extremely impressed by the customer service from rogue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product and good customer service I just received my bumpers about one week ago. The crossfit gym I was going to used the same ones and they took quite a beating at the gym. So when it came time to purchase some for my home gym I was not hesitant at all. The quality is excellent and the customer service was amazing. I am very pleased with this company.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lifelong investment I bought these plates after purchasing the gorilla plates. I also own the HG plates and these bumpers are slightly smaller in diameter than the HG plates. So I purchased them so I could use them in combination with the gorrilas and all the plates would be in contact with the ground. They do have more bounce than the HG plates but that is an advance for certain workouts when you want to touch and go. These plates are extremely durable and great for taking the workout outside.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Air Them out First These are great plates for my Garage Gym. Feels good to be able to drop weights when you get tired without the loud crash of iron. My only suggestion is to let them sit outside for 2 or 3 days to off gas....they make quite an odor when stored inside right out of the box.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bumpers and extremely durable I've had these for around 3 years and they have proven to be excellent. I use them in a home gym, and have even left some of them outside for a year and they still look like they are new. I like the fact that they are made in the USA, are recycled, and have the stainless steel insert. I definitely recommend these as a first set of weights rather than buying iron plates - the extra money is well spent.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Bumper These bumpers are perfect for CrossFit and best of all made in the USA!!! Occasionally you will get a 10# plate that cracks, but I have only seen this when its dropped from overhead with a 45# bar.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Product These happen to be by far the best bumpers i ever owned if your looking for something to put up with a lot of beating. I use them these at my home gym and use them on my concrete drive. They withstand being dropped from overhead with any destruction. Great job on this one Rogue!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Addition to a busy room I purchased these bumpers at the end of February this year. Waited to post a review to see how they held up to abuse. I purchased them for my high school weight room, so you know they have had about 5 years worth of abuse in that short amount of time. I went with the 10 pound bumpers and the 35 pound bumpers. This configuration gave me the best diversity in the room. They are bullet proof. The kids abuse them daily and so far no problems. Yes they are a little thicker, but we can still get over 315 pounds of bumpers on the rogue bar. Not many people are going to need more than that for over head work in my room. Thank you Rogue for another great product.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Use them for what they're for... OK, I bought these as a home workout solution set. However, I'm not doing Snatches or Cleans/Jerk yet and so don't drop my weights. Therefore, don't buy these if you primary lifting is squat/Press/DLs - these are not the best weights to buy for that given that they're very thick and you may run out of room on the bar. As a product they're pretty rough in regards to fit and finish. The 10lbs plates were warped (concave) and the 35lbs/45lbs had very uneven edges. If you plan on being super rough with your weights then these are good as you can replace easily enough down the line. I won't be buying more and when I start doing lifts that demand bumbers, I'll save up and go up a step in quality and sell the ones I have.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from All Around Good Plates I bought 350lbs of weight in these so friends and I could do workouts in the garage. A couple of the plates arrived looking like the rubber hadn't been melted all the way on 1/4 - 1//2 the plate, but they haven't flaked or had any problems. Over all these plates have taken a beating and don't look like I use them. I'd buy another set in a second if I could convince the wife.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great quality and price What made me choose these weights over the pendlay bumpers was simply the price, you could get a full set with bar, 2x 10,25,35,45 for cheaper than you could a set of pendlay (minus the 10's set). Also after reading some reviews these seem to be able to stand up to the most abuse. I started using these in my basement on smooth concrete with some matts under, no issues and the bounce is not uncontrollable with the 10s. Then in the garage on some rougher, dirty concrete with no mats and again no issues with bounce. they are holding up really well even after a few months of use, look brand new minus some dirt, and even slide on like they are new as the metal inserts were greased from the factory. Shipping took about a month but was free to northern alberta so cant complain about that. Overall for under 1000$ for a full set plus a few accessories, you just cant beat it. Better than driving to the gym and almost hurting myself with iron weights doing oly lifts, anyday.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly what the doctor ordered After much careful review, reading and video review watching, I chose the Rogue Hi-Temp bumper set with the Rogue Bar. I've been operating with a "box store" iron plate set & bar my whole life and always afraid I'd eventually drop onto myself from overhead or drop onto floor and shatter something. Love the Rogue Hi-temp and the bar, what a great set. Sure, it cost more than the iron set I basically grew up on, but it is an unfair apples and oranges comparison. I got a ton of use of the iron and I'm letting them go either. As far as the bounce AND observations on the 10's. Here are my observations after 2 months of workouts 3-4 times per week. The bounce is MUCH less if dropped on stall mats (Big 'R', Spokane, WA just to be specific). Makes sense that the bounce would be higher on concrete, I've seen all the videos. For me, no issues at all and seems completely manageable on the mats. I simply cannot imagine this bouncing into my shins or into my Jeep in the garage. Outside on concrete or uneven surface might likely be a different story, this summer we'll find out for sure - can't wait! As far as the 10's. I've dropped them plenty. they bend (and bend right back) if: I drop them 'sideways' rather than straight down OR if my spring clamps are 'backwards' and pushing the plate sideways from the start. No issues for me in my garage gym I aim to stay somewhat in control of my drops. I suspect at my current rate they will last longer than I or my kids will eventually use them. The 25's and 45's seem bullet proof, I think I could use one as a spare for my Jeep if push came to shove and I know they will outlive me, says the 43 year old male. Getting younger and better every day. Thank you! ;-)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Built like a tank I have had Hi-temps for years now for my olympic lifting training and they are solid and well built. You can fit up to 455 on the bar with these if you use 3 of the 45's and 2 - 35lb iron plates plus spring collars per side. I expect to have these for many years.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good quality, but they bounce I really like them for the durability. I use the 15s for practice a lot and they hold up well for me, getting dropped a lot. But they bounce way higher than my other bumpers. Ends up making me chase them more. Still like them, but be aware that they are more bouncy than some other bumpers, like my yorks and even other rogue bumpers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Solid I have used these 3-4 times for the last year. I have a pair of plates of each of the four weights. They are in the same shape as the day I received them, except chalkier. I would buy them again personally, and I would definitely consider these if I was shopping for a business or institution. The only two issues I have with them are that they are very wide (the set I have takes up nearly the whole bar with a spring clip), and they are just a bit larger (1/8"-1/4") larger in diameter than steel plates, which is a consideration if you want to use them for lifts from the floor.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Value-just understand limitations I'm very happy with these bumpers. Got them for my GG setup and have been very pleased with the value and durability they provide-especially with the Rogue Bar. While trying to practice overhead movements with the 10lbs, they naturally got dropped a few times. The steel insert has come loose somewhat and now sits crooked in the plate. I caught it early on and it still works but is a pain to get on and off the bar. Bottom line: Don't Drop these 10s!!
