SPEAL Pull-Up Bar

Inspired by CrossFit legend and Rogue athlete Chris Spealler, the SPEAL Bar is a bare steel, 70” single pull-up bar you can install in place of an existing X-70 crossmember. The 1.25” diameter bar is manufactured in Columbus, Ohio, from 7-gauge steel, and is compatible with any Infinity or Monster Lite rig, rack, or wallmount unit.

Here is Chris Spealler’s take on the benefits of the SPEAL Bar over standard powder-coat finished bars:

"Personally I'm a big fan of the raw steel for pull up rigs. I like the feel of the bar and tend to think it holds chalk a bit better than some of the other finishes out there. The less chalk I need on my hands, the less likely I am to tear in a workout. It's also great to have the option to knock out some bar muscle ups to vary the movements and demands in your workouts. Depending on your personal preferences, the finish and versatility are some of the best qualities the bar offers relative to anything else out there." --Chris Spealler, 3-Time Top Ten Finisher at the CrossFit Games

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A Bar You Can Trust I purchased two Speal bars for my box to provide variation on our Infinity rack. They have been well received by about 85% of our members. I like the grip on the Speal bars better than the black oxide finish of the Infinity inserts. This is mostly due to the bare steel that allows me to execute pull ups, T2B and bar muscle ups with smoother hand rotation. I personally like the smaller diameter compared to the Infinity bars. Some of our larger athletes find it bothersome, hence the 4 start instead of 5. With Memorial Day Murph coming next month, I'm ordering two more Speal bars so people won't have to fight as hard for the position on the rack.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bar Love it. No powder coat gives it better grip. It is great for gymnastics stuff that requires you to go around or over a bar too. That pesky second bar isn't there. I wish all of them could be single.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this bar This is such an improvement over the powder-coated bars. I can do pullups on here all day long without chalking up. I highly recommend it.
