Nike Free X Metcon 2 - Men's
Pure Platinum / Habanero Red

By combining the key elements of the Nike Free running shoe with the Metcon cross-training shoe, the Nike Free X Metcon 2 offers the best of both worlds for the dynamic athlete.

Lightweight, durable fabric and deep grooves along the outsole enable omni-directional flexibility and comfortable breathability for the runner, gymnast, martial artist, etc. At the same time, the use of abrasion-resistant rubber wraps, a lock-in midfoot cage, and a foam midsole ensure much needed stability and cushioning for the weightlifter, CrossFitter, rock climber, etc. The result is an all-purpose athletic shoe that’s equipped equally for the track, the weight room, the WOD, and more.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Comfortable shoes, but they look better online I expected these shoes to be black from the picture but they're teal and dont look good with blue jeans. I also bought these to replace a pair of black shoes I have the squeak and these shoes squeak a lot more than the shoes I bought them to replace.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome gym shoes! The perfect happy medium between the Metcon's- which are great but tend to be on the heavy/stiff side, and the Free's- which are also great but a little too flimsy for WODs/weightlifting. These are the Goldilocks of fitness shoes. Very comfortable, lightweight, and aesthetically pleasing. I feel solid during heavy squats, and graceful during tall box jumps. The lacing style makes theme easy to slip on and off, yet still have a secure fit. Great shoe!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great for lifting. Not so much for running I bought these about 4 weeks ago and they’re great when I lift on leg day. Squats, lunges, deadlifts, all are great with these shoes. When running, I feel like I’m running barefoot. It’s very flat and rough on your feet. The underneath of my feet have been beaten to he’ll with these shoes.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from bad laces so i bought them and immediate i had to change the laces that they have. the laces are bad material and all the time they are unpacking. so during a WOD expect to stop a couple of time if you do running or squats to tie your laces. overall the shoe is good, they are a bit narrow but still manage to do the WOD. if you get them on a discount price makes sens otherwise choose something else like NoBull or Flywire from Nike.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Overall great gym shoe Im a casual lifter that lifts for aesthetics and overall fitness. I decided to try this shoe beacuse my regular shoes weren't very stable for squats or deadlifts, but being a regular lifter that doesn't compete i wanted to get a shoe i can also do cardio in. So i settled on the free metcon, and i will say this is a great shoe for squats and deads and cardio for the casual gym goer and im sure its great for crossfit or whatever

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good heel stability Like the foot stability during lifts, gymnastics, and other metcon movements. Shoe is a little tight... should have ordered 1/2 size bigger, but it still works. The amount of heel drop gives a slightly different foot strike then I'm used to while running.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great workout shoe I bought these about a month ago and they are very comfortable. The best features of these shoes are the stability of the midfoot to

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Huge upgrade to the Free X version 1 I have had these shoes since they released to replace a damaged pair of the Free X Metcon v1 shoes. I like these so much more. Nice sung fit on the shoe. True to size. Good width in the toe box. They tighten down WAY more evenly than the v1 version of the shoe. No more hot spots on the top of the foot near the old v1 strap area. No more working the laces all the way from the bottom to the top to get an even fit. The foot opening is a bit small but once you slide your foot in- you are in heaven (its like a wet suit material at the opening). I have probably ran more than 30 miles in these in the last 2 months- for a "training" shoe they are great for this. Overall lifting has been really good as well. Nice stiff rear shoe combined with some flex in the front end. Best thing for me is that these shoes hold my heals in. The recent versions of the classic Metcon line keep getting shallower and shallower heal cups. Not these- when they are on they are on and stay put. Probably my 6th CF shoe over the years and these take the cake.
