Nike Metcon 3 - Men's - Hyper Orange / White / Black / Chlorine Blue

The Nike Metcon 3 keeps all the critical design components of the previous Metcon series while introducing an updated drop-in midsole—for max stability + flexibility in the forefoot—along with a new range of colors. This is one of the most versatile, high-performance cross-training shoes ever developed, and it’s trusted by a wide range of athletes at the highest levels of competition.

With a firm rubber heel, low-profile heel clip, and exclusive Flywire technology, Metcons are built for a lockdown fit and a dependable flat platform foundation, improving explosiveness on heavy lifts. The shoe’s molded flex grooves, light breathable construction, and embroidered TPU reinforcement also make it uniquely optimized for sprints, climbs, box jumps, distance runs, and day-to-day abuse.

An abrasion-resistant film around the midfoot is critical to reducing heat and friction during a high octane training regimen, and the Metcon’s dependable traction performs on the gym floor, the track, and training grounds far off the beaten path.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very comfortable and stable platform. I have worn these for about two months and they are great. Love them a lot more than my Nanos and my Metcon 2s. I am bigger guy at 260 lbs so stable shoes are important to me. I do all my workouts in these shoes, lifting and metcons. I even ran a 5k in them with no issue. Just bought another pair.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not a great shoe for me. I bought these shoes about 2 months ago and have only been wearing them for one and a half months. I am currently in China so shipping is extremely expensive so I mail them to my family and when someone comes to visit they will bring my purchase or I will bring them back on return trips. Sadly when I purchased these shoes I had to go off recommendations on nike website and also rogue fitness website because China did not have these for me to try on. That being said these shoes did not match up size wise to what the metcon2 did contrary to what Nike's website said. In metcon 2 I wear an 8 and this shoe seems to be more like an 8 and a half.. I also feel like the shoe does not hug my foot nearly like what metcon 2 did. Maybe this is because of the size difference. What really bothers me is that after 1 and a half months the sole is beginning to peel away from the shoe. While it is small it makes me worried about the quality of these especially since I wear them only when working out. My metcon 2s don't have any rips or sole peeling and I have been much tougher on those shoes than these.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Frogs..... Very comfortable, way better than the 1's. I don't mind running in them. My biggest complaint and question is; Why is it when I wear them and I take a step, does it sound like I'm stepping on a frog? Very annoying!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good to Lift, Terrible to Run This is my first crossfit shoe and I definitely feel the difference using these metcons over lifting barefoot or with normal running/nike free shoes. Lots of stability and support. Running is awful in these, just awful, so if you plan on taking part in that section of the workout, be mindful that you will feel as though you have duck feet. Other than that so far so good.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from So-So I used to wear my running shoes to Crossfit, but always had to take them off for lifting days, so I decided to buy a pair specifically for Crossfit. After reading many reviews decided on the Metcon 3's. The Good: I like the wide toe box. Very comfortable. A great shoe for lifting. The Bad: Absolutely no support for runs and I skid on the jump up when doing box jumps. Honestly, I think I'm going back to my running shoes. At least these will be some cool looking casual sneakers.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful shoe I just got these shoes today. First of all they are really heavy. The shoe strings that came with are very cheap feeling. They sent two pairs of shoe strings. One blue with black lines and black with blue lines. I usually wear an 11 but these feel really tight on the back of the shoe. Hopefully that will go away the more I wear them.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Metcons continue to fail on rope climbs I ordered the Metcon 3 in December 2016, hoping they improved the instep for climbing ropes. My Metcon 2's instep completely pulled away from the shoe after the FIRST rope climb. Of course it was many months after I bought them. Just did my first rope climb in my 5-month-old 3s, The instep stayed intact, but the swoosh ripped off after the FIRST rope climb. Still structurally sound, a $180 shoe can't be relied upon to do a common CrossFit movement. Sigh.
