To reduce the weight, bulk, and cost of the unit, we constructed the Echo Dog Sled by taking a sheet of 0.25" plate steel and forming it into a single-piece, solid base. There are only four welds on the entire sled, and those were used to create the corner sockets for the (2) included uprights. The completed sled creates a compact 36.5" x 25" footprint, and because it’s manufactured at Rogue HQ, you can count on the professional quality of the work and durability of the product.

As with our standard Rogue Dog Sled, the Echo version can be ordered with protective plastic skis, which can greatly reduce the risk of floor damage for those training in an indoor gym space.

In an innovative design twist, the cut-outs found in the middle of the Echo Dog Sled are actually re-utilized as stiffeners for the underside of the sled (they can be easily installed by the user during set-up). The additional 0.25" Plate Steel bracing created by these stiffeners supports the sled against any flex caused by its one-piece design.

Along with offering substantial functionality on its own, the Echo Dog Sled also makes a good working complement to our standard, top-tier Rogue Dog Sled 1.2. Gym owners, coaches, and trainers can provide more athletes with a quality push/pull sled at a reduced cost, while still preparing them for the use of the more advanced Dog Sled, which offers compatibility with a wide range of mountable attachments, including the Double Handle, Lawn Boy, Wheelbarrow, and more.

Compared to many prowler and speed sled designs, the portable Echo Dog Sled has a smaller overall surface area, allowing you to get the most out of the plates that you own. The provided 17" weight post has a load capacity of 450+LB pounds in steel plates—so pile them on to your heart’s content.

The Echo Dog Sled can be upgraded to an Alpaca Sled with the addition of the Alpaca Pan and Handle kits. As seen during its debut at the 2022 CrossFit Games, the Alpaca enables the user to quickly grab-and-add weight to the 21.5” x 13.5” steel pan in the form of kettlebells, dumbbells, sandbags, etc. The optional steel handle pair can be positioned on either end of the sled, at heights of 31.75” and 12” respectively. With more surface area than traditional sled handles, they enable both vertical (neutral grip) and horizontal (pronated grip) hand placement, as well as upright and low-angle body positioning.
