Ohio Deadlift Bar

The Rogue Ohio Deadlift Bar is one of our finest, precision-engineered power bars to date, generating a higher amount of flex ideal for deadlifting. Machined and assembled in Columbus, Ohio, the ODB features a 190,000 PSI shaft with a comparatively thin diameter (27MM) and longer overall length (90.50" – just within most powerlifting federation standards). This combination creates a bar that’s both easier to grip and designed for increased whip/flex when pulling. For many power lifters, that greater flex means being able to pull from a higher point before the plates break off the floor, potentially increasing the amount of weight that can be lifted in the process.

Like all Rogue bushing bars, the Ohio Deadlift Bar includes sleeves with a quality snap ring construction-- far superior to the cheaply produced bolt-and-pin style sleeves of some other brands. The powerlifting knurl marks on this bar are a bit deeper / more aggressive than our Ohio Power Bar, but machined in the same pattern. There is no center knurl.

Customers can choose from three available finishes. On this page, you can choose from Black Zinc shaft with Bright Zinc sleeves or full Bare Steel across the bar.

Please Note: Like any fine piece of machined steel, a bare steel barbell will require some upkeep. Occasionally brushing the bar down with 3-in-1 oil or WD-40 will create a beautiful patina look. This is how bars were made for decades and it really does produce an unmatched feel.

*Warranty against bending does not cover any bar which has been damaged due to negligent or faulty use, alteration, maintenance, storage or handling by the user. Negligent or faulty use includes abusive dropping of the bar (i.e., dropping the bar on a box, bench, spotter arms or pins in a power rack, excessive dropping with insufficient or damaged bumpers, or excessive dropping with iron plates, and similar usage). Any specific issues regarding a Rogue product with which a customer is not satisfied will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. We have found that most problems with bars we replace are related to abusive use rather than manufacturing or materials issues.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Don’t listen to babies whining about knurling It’s a deadlift bar, the knurling is going to be far more aggressive than a bar you put on and over your neck. Did the people leaving bad reviews because the knurling hurt their wittle fingers not read about the product they were buying? I prefer this to the Texas deadlift bar, overall a great bar perfectly built for deadlifting.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent deadlift bar I have heard that getting a deadlift bar would not help unless you are deadlifting well north of 400 lbs. I can say that I was doing much less and was able to add 40 pounds to my lifts immediately. The knurl is aggressive but because I use wrist straps, it works to my advantage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Need callus? Get this bar! I've bought the boneyard zinc/black deadlift bar. Small cuff on collars, no other imperfections. Review on the bar itself. This is a great deadlift bar, easy to grip with aggressive kneeling. I've used gym bars, ohio bar, and after using this bar, it's a world of differences. This bar will give you callus on all 5 fingers if you dont already have them. It wont tear your skin but will feel the bar with heavy weights. For a speciality purpose bar, I recommend to save money and get one from the boneyard.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great deadlift bar Everyone at my gym loves this bar. Recently ordered a second one in the cerakote. Don't listen to the people that say the knurling is too much. It's a powerlifting bar meant for deadlifting, it's supposed to have aggressive knurling!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this new bar I bought this bar a month ago for my son's 27th birthday present. He reports that both he and his training partners love using it. They can really see the difference pulling this bar versus the bars they have been using from their gym.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Bar, Bad knurling. The bar is great. The quality you expect from rogue. However, the knurling on the bar is horrible. It is WAY to aggressive. If they made this bar and used the knurling of the B&R bar, this would be an easy 5 stars.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Knurling mcuh worst than I expected. I have 4 rouge bars and think the knurling on the regular Ohio bar is perfect. The Ohio Deadlift bar is too aggressive causing additional calluses. I have no idea why they didn’t use the same knurling as on Ohio bar. The Cerakote finish is nice.
