Rogue Slice Sled

The Rogue Slice Sled is a dual-capability push/pull weight sled that combines quality steel construction and durability with fold-flat, stackable storage.

The Slice Sled is Rogue’s first steel speed sled with dual push/drag capability AND a convenient fold-down weight post. The unit comes standard with two 40” upright push handles—the same as found on our popular Dog Sled and the fold-flat weight post is carried over from our Fat Boy, and E Sleds. With a laser-cut hole, sled strap, and carabiner also included, the Slice Sled has few rivals for versatility, and makes a great option for gyms serving multiple athletes of varying skill levels.

Each sled weighs 65 LBS unloaded, and includes a 14” bolt-on center post with a load capacity of well over 300 LBS depending on the types of plates used. Customers also have the option to add a set of 1/2" thick UHMW plastic skis to their order. When bolted to the underside of the Slice Sled, these skis can greatly reduce the risk of damage to your gym flooring when using the sled indoors.

What Sets it Apart

  • 1Maximum Versatility

The hybrid design of the Slice Sled erases the notion that portable, storage-friendly sleds limit an athlete’s training options. With a set of uprights and a laser-cut hole for a carabiner and sled strap (included standard with order), this unit is ready-on-delivery for both pushing and dragging exercises on a wide range of surfaces.

  • 2Fold-Flat Post

We have utilized the same convenient fold-down weight post from our Fat Boy and E Sleds to create the first Rogue push/pull sled built for stackable storage. Trainers and coaches regularly transporting or storing multiple sleds will particularly benefit from this innovation. The 14” weight post bolts on to the sled’s base and has a load capacity topping 300 LBS, depending on the type of plates used.

  • 3Quality Steel Construction

Manufactured in Columbus, Ohio, the Slice Sled is constructed from laser-cut and formed 1/4” thick plate steel with our trademark texture black powdercoat finish. This solid one-piece construction gives it a unique combination of durability and compactness, with a total footprint of just 27.5” x 22.75”.

  • 4Part of the Rogue Sled Series

The Slice Sled functions as a hybrid of several of our existing weight sleds, and as a result, can complement a gym’s existing sleds or serve as introduction to the Rogue series. Similar products include the Dog Sled, which offers push/pull capability with the addition of multiple attachments for a more diverse training regimen. The S-35 “E” Sled, meanwhile, is a good dragging option with even greater portability.

  • 5Optional Skis for Floor Protection

Customers have the option to add a set of 1/2" thick UHMW plastic skis to their order. When bolted to the underside of the Slice Sled, these skis can greatly reduce the risk of damage to your gym flooring when using the sled indoors.

Rogue prides itself on fast, professional shipping, often with same-day turnaround times. Your Slice Sled ships efficiently via UPS ground with some minimal assembly required. You can follow the progress of your order from our factory floor to your door using the online Rogue Shipping Tracker.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sled Club! I started dragging an “E” Sled to rehab from a couple of knee surgeries and get back to powerlifting. Now I use the Slice. My students (studying to be veterinarians) decided it looked like fun and Sled Club was born. Now I travel with 2 Rogue Slice Sleds and 6 Rogue "E" Sleds. Sled Club keeps growing- happy that 3 ship free. The sleds are light enough to be easily portable and tough enough to stack on the plates. The plastic kit on the Slice quiets things down for early neighborhood drags. Both sleds are awesome!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good Compact Sled I have had this sled for about 3 months now. If I could go back in time, I would opt for a bigger sled. This one is great for storage, as it is compact and can be transported easily. It is also great for any type of pulling/gragging type movements. The main fault with this is that it will often get it's nose caught when you push it. The surface you push on must be very smooth, or it will tend to get hung up. I did not get the plastic runners, so not sure if that would make a difference. Still somewhat happy with purchase, but would not recommend or buy again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Challenge Yourself Beyond Your Limits LOVE this option for a workout at home. I like to change things up and I love the outdoors which is why I purchased my sled. Read all the reviews FIRST and thankfully they were pretty accurate. I got a lot of really strange looks from the people in the neighborhood. Matters not to me. I good headset drowns out the naysayers and doubters. I love that it can be pulled, pushed and dragged. I am older so I did go to extra lengths to purchase knee guards and wear gloves when using the sled. Pushing heavy and in the heat is very hard on the hands so if one is using more than once a week a definitely recommend extra hand care and protection. My only complaint is the strap that comes for the pulling function is a little awkward and flimsy but gets the job done. I purchased the optional plastic skis and I like them. However there are some surfaces that the skis don't glide well over. I however didn't want to scratch up the bottom so it was worth the extra few bucks to purchase them.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Uneven Plastic Skid Wear - Design Flaw I went with the slice because it was small and compact and this was going in my garage gym. I purchased this sled and less than a month in I noticed a problem. I addressed this with the Rogue Customer support team and let’s just say we didn’t see eye to eye on this one! Background: I used the sled in my home gym about 2-3 times a week (about 1-mile worth of work at a time) so in total might have had around 7-10 miles on it. It was always loaded with 3-6 plates depending on the scenario and it was an even push or pull combination of work. The surface it was pushed on was freshly paved asphalt that you can see in the images attached. The sled has a clear design flaw, the weight is not centered – lt’s back loaded so when you go to push a heavy load the sled has a slight tilt forward. I want to be clear – the sled itself is fine and sturdy as can be. My major issue is with the plastic skids and how it wears so uneven. If you are not going to use skids, then this review isn’t for you. I opted for skids to dampen the noise to be courtesies to neighbors and protect my driveway. After using the sled with the skids properly installed for the above mentioned length of time and load I noticed that the front section of the skid was worn all the way to the screws and the back section didn’t look near as bad. In fact, I would estimate that the front section wears 50%-60% faster than the back portion. In my humble opinion, this is a major design flaw and one the customer service team should have addressed and the Rouge design team should fix asap. If you plan to use plastic skids, don’t purchase this model – plain and simple. I offered to pay shipping and the difference on an Echo Dog Sled and return the slice. Rogue would not do that, my only offer of recourse was to grip the handles lower to get less tilt forward. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose – Just Keep Training!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect for portability We've had our slice for two months now and meet friends to push it every Saturday morning at the climbing gym we belong to. This is the perfect size for putting in the back of the car, heading out, and getting some "fun" conditioning in. We push it on asphalt with the PVC skids. For our uses, it's perfect, but if I were buying for a gym where I didn't need portability, I might go with something from the more rectangular Dogsled lineup. I say that because the one time we pushed it on grass, the front end tended to dig in. However, it was unloaded. Perhaps if you loaded it up, things would be more balanced. So four stars from us. It's awesome. It would be an easy five star if it ran just as well on grass. 100% recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So happy we bought this sled! We have our own little garage gym, but we were lacking a sled and we really wanted to add sled pulls and pushes to the mix (and we can use the shoulder straps to do sled drags/sprints now also!). We felt this sled was a bargain for the price. We were unsure that we could tie a battle rope around the center of the sled, but it fits perfectly. Now we can do sled pulls! We also tried using it for pushing/sprinting with the uprights, up and down and up and down our sloped 75 foot driveway. Got the heart beating hard! Can't wait to try out the shoulder straps and some variations of pulls with the sled. Thank you Rogue!
