The sleeve diameter on the Stubby barbell is only 1.9", while other commercial gyms use 1.96" sleeves. So, you can't use the same collars. The idea of having to buy Rogue-specific collars is very inconvenient. Also, due to the shortened (stubby) length, you cannot rack it anywhere and thus cannot use it for squats or bench press. The like the grip and handling of it, but just wish it was more compatible with my gym.

This axle bar arrived with chips in the powder coating, in multiple places (see photos). I realize it won’t last forever, but it is disappointing to have it arrive brand new in that condition. There are also some chips or particles inside the bar which makes it sound like a maraca when you power clean. Third, the center sticker was place crooked, which I realize is minor, but you do need it for a visual centering cue, and it looks terrible. This is Titan Fitness like quality…for Rogue pricing.

I just received my bar yesterday after purchasing it last friday. This bar is definitely a game changer to your training. With it being the same diameter as the collars on the olympic bars, when performing things such as cleans, unless you have hands as big as the hulk to perform a hookgrip on the bar, it also works on the muscles in your forearm. Is the bar shorter in length than bars like the Ohio bar? Yes but that's where it also transforms your training in things like the overhead squat where it makes you focus on core stabilization. Please do not try to snatch with this bar unless your skills are that good. Once again narrower bar requires a solid technique. I am glad that i purchased this bar and I can't wait to see how it transforms my training.

Bought this a few months ago and have been using it extensively for everything from overhead press, bent over row, Romanian deadlift, etc. I had previously bought Fat Gripz, which are great in their own right, but this bar gives me further excuse to work on grip strength.

I bought this to get into barbell lifting as it was significantly cheaper than some of the normal bars. It’s been great: the width of the barbell forces you to really develop your grip strength. I whole heartily recommend.

Just arrived, and I should have paid more attention to the American "inches" I'm happy with its overall length, but you wont fit many plates on it, I have competition plates, and the max you can safely fit on it is 100kg all up, you can go to 120kg if you get some slim clamps. The other thing I noticed, is the welder that did the collars, should re-do his/her trade, 1 weld is good, the other looks like crap. I will be selling on Gumtree and I will purchase something else, as I need 120kg and higher.
