Just the bare essentials.

This stand can handle your 500LB back squat with ease.

We went back to the drawing board and came up with a squat stand for those of you on a budget. Rogue ES-1 Echo Squat Stand is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 34.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for the dollar, except... Sturdy, stable, Rogue quality; however, the unprotected J cups are a huge miss in my opinion.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Strong / Sturdy I've been ordering from Rogue for a few years now and I have always been happy w their products. This squat stand does not disappoint - for the money you can do no better. Thanks Rogue!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wow. Awesome deal on a great rack. OK, so I was very concerned before I ordered this rack that it wouldn't be enough for the garage gym. I wanted a pullup bar, and I thought I wanted the big thick Monster Lite uprights. I was also concerned about the unlined J-cups damaging my nice bars. I finally settled on this thing for its "light" weight and footprint so I could move it around my garage. What did I get? An amazing rack. Yes, it's light enough that I can grab it by both uprights and move it without sliding it. That said, it's extremely heavy duty; much more so than the stuff I've seen from other sellers, and much more than I expected for the price (including free shipping). I didn't have a frame of reference for just how robust 11ga steel is, so I attached a photo of the top of one of the uprights with a ruler to show its incredible thickness. This thing is absolutely sturdy, and I have no doubt that it will outlast me. As far as the J-cups go, I got a sheet of UHMW online for less than $15 and cut it on the table saw to two 2x2 and two 2x3 pieces. I roughed up one side and used gorilla glue to attach them. They fit seamlessly and make the j-cups perfect. They're like a gentle cradle for my knurling. In terms of the pullup bar, I decided to use rings instead so I can have a more flexible space. The only downside to this rack is the little plastic feet on the four corners of the base. They don't fit very well over the 2x2 tubing and I had two break while trying to slide them on. I'm thinking of getting rid of all four since they're completely unnecessary. Bottom line, great sturdy rack. I don't think anything can match it for the price (including 3 for free shipping).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great rack minus the j-cups Decided on this rack mainly for the free shipping option. I'm not incredibly strong, but it's handled up to 350 lbs with no issues. I do wish they would have been kind enough to offer the same plastic insert j-cups that the other racks offer. The bare metal has chipped, rusted and scratched up all of my nice bars. I cut a piece of rubber and superglued it to the j-cups, but I would have paid a few extra bucks for the better quality j-cups.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this rack I have had this rack for over 2 years and I love it for the garage gym, just wished there was a way to put safety bars on them for the heavy squat days

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great, but one fatal flaw This is a great rack for the money. It's sturdy and doesn't budge; even with 300+ loaded on the j-cups. That being said, I went with a cheaper rack so that I could really splurge on a good bar. The metal only j-cups are beginning to destroy the knurling on my $500 oly bar. If the rack doesn't come with the plastic lined j-cups, at least make them available to purchase as an add on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Budget Squat Rack I have two of these squat racks. They are great for my wife and I. Well built and sturdy. They are easy to move around if you need the space for a WOD or just want to squat outside in the driveway. Rogue stands behind their products.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Everything I need Bought this about 8 months ago and am extremely happy with it. I like the fact that it is light, so I can move it around. I like to be able to still park in my garage, so this stand is perfect because I can just move it to the side to make space for the car. The fact that it doesn't have plastic in the J cups is annoying, cause I'm sure it would cost Rogue virtually nothing to put it in there. I bought a thin sheet of delrin off of amazon and glued pieces of delrin into the J cups so that the bar doesn't get damaged. Works great.
