A rough season on the gridiron, this, not so much in the physical sense as in the high hopes battered into the sod. But out of it one thing stands assured for all time, it now seems. The old idea of weight and sheer physical prowess on the gridiron being fifty per cent of the winning of games never received a harder body blow than it did this season.
