Product Description

When designing the Rogue Echo Rower, the goal was clear: create a machine that can withstand the test of time, and provide consistent and accurate performance metrics. Sharing the same robust engineering and design elements that define the Rogue Echo Bike, the Echo Rower is built to endure the daily demands of serious athletes and training facilities worldwide.

A fundamental design principle was to develop a rower able to be used in competition. Whether the CrossFit Games, Rogue Invitational or comparing scores from garage to garage in Rogue Challenges, the outputs had to be consistent. We worked closely with a third-party engineering firm, S-E-A, to verify all data outputs would allow this machine to be used in competition alongside the Concept2 RowErg.

The Echo Rower is designed to provide a full body workout, making it ideal for the home gym, affiliates, and commercial gyms alike. Equipped with an LCD console with Bluetooth and ANT+ compatibility, users are able to program workouts and track their performance and monitor their metrics in real time. The aluminum frame construction, paired with premium materials and an aggressive, modern design equate to an uncompromising machine built to perform.

For a complete conditioning solution, the Echo Rower can also be paired with the Echo Bike in a bundled package.

Design Features

Precision Calibrated Flywheel

The flywheel has been precisely engineered to provide a smooth and consistent rowing experience stroke after stroke. Inertia, weight balance, and aerodynamic resistance are calibrated to competition standards on every rower. An integrated damper lever controls how much air is drawn into the cage on each pull, allowing the user to adjust the amount of work required to accelerate the flywheel.

Quick Release Foot Straps

Our patent pending quick release lever design allows athletes to quickly set and release the foot straps, resulting in faster transitions when it counts the most. No more adjusting and loosening a slide buckle during transitions on and off the rower. Once the strap is initially adjusted to the athlete's foot, the quick release lever on the side can be utilized to release and re-secure the strap, allowing for a perfectly consistent adjustment round after round.

Easy Fold for Storage

This space-saving design allows the rower to fold and easily be stored away when not in use, making it ideal for training facilities and home gyms where space is at a premium. The Echo Rower can also be transported while folded utilizing the turf tires and handle integrated into the bottom of the footplate.

Heavy Duty Aluminum Frame

The aluminum frame construction provides unmatched stability, ensuring the rower stays grounded during the most intense workouts, eliminating unwanted movement and providing a stable base for every workout. The aggressive stature and modern lines are not just for aesthetics, they play a key role in dispersing force, allowing for maximum performance.

First Time Rower
Never rowed until I got it assembled. Read plenty of reviews to decide on this model. Shipping was fast, packaging was smart, and assembly wasn't bad. Everything component feels top notch and solid. Folding for storage and moving it around is very easy and well designed. Rowing is as smooth and consistent as I could imagine it being. I watched several videos and did follow along workouts to get a sense of proper form, timing, etc. Kicked off interval sessions and tempo workouts and this has been an excellent addition to the home gym for low impact cardio. Definitely addicted.

From Pickleball Injury to Rowing Addiction
I am a 47 year old male who bought the Rogue Echo rower to help me stay in shape following a pickleball injury, and I’m absolutely loving it so far! I caught the pickleball bug a few years ago, and it quickly became my primary method of fitness. I was playing recreationally for around 5 hours per week. I found that my joints were frequently sore and my neck often hurt for a while after a session. The game was super fun and the discomfort was tolerable, though, so I kept playing. Around a month ago, I tore the meniscus in one of my knees while I was playing pickleball, and the pain was so sharp for a couple of days that I decided to spend some time away from the game. I consulted with an orthopedic surgeon and elected to not move forward with a surgical intervention to trim or repair my torn cartilage. Instead, I decided to look for an alternate, low-impact exercise that could help keep my joints loose, strengthen my leg muscles a bit, and enhance my cardiovascular fitness, which led me into considering rowing as a strategy that may be suitable for my needs. The more I learned about rowing, the more it seemed like it could be the right solution for me. I began exploring rowing machines that were on the market, and the Rogue Echo quickly rose to the top of my preferred list. It is a high quality piece of equipment that was simple to assemble. It is very smooth, comfortable, and enjoyable to use. I’m not sure if I’m just in the honeymoon phase of a new exercise, but I feel like I’ve now acquired a bit of a rowing addiction. I have had my rower for just over two weeks. I’ve been rowing around 5,000m per day on average, and I’ve had at least one rowing session for all but two days since my rower arrived. I spent the first couple of days watching and following tutorials to help me gain a better understanding of how to use a proper rowing technique. So far, I feel that rowing on the Rogue Echo rower has been exactly what I’ve needed. I realize I have only just begun my rowing practice, but I am seeing that it has clearly been working for me. My entire body actually feels better than it has felt in years. I was initially bummed about my pickleball injury, but now I’m considering it to be a blessing that led me to rowing. I’ll likely make my way back to recreational pickleball at some point, but, when I do, I’ll be sure to keep rowing as a key component of my regular fitness routine. I highly recommend the Rogue Echo Rower.

Rower is great, phone holder is meh
The Rower is beefy and substantial. I've had a concept 2 for year, and the Echo Rower is even sturdier. The monitor and app user interface is easily as intutitive as the concept 2. The folding and unfolding take some getting used to are pretty easy once you get the hang of it. The only issue is the phone holder, or more accurately, the fact that it is not the tablet holder that both the updated Echo Bike monitor and the Echo Ski monitor have. I have all three, and would be much more incline to watch an iPad on the Rower than the Ski given the increased upper body movement on the Ski. I Initially though I could swap the monitors on the devices, but each monitor is device specific. Rogue - please update the Rower monitor to the same phone holder as on the new Bike monitor.

FEB 2026
Out of the box there was more to put together than expected based off of the description. Maybe it took me longer than usual because I did it alone, but an hour+ was more than I expected. If the “cap” is already assembled Id recommend taking it out of the instructions as I scoured the box looking for it longer than I should have lol. The rower is generally as advertised. The construction seems durable, but I have only put in about 2-3 total hours thus far. I thought the resistance would be a little tougher. Even at 10 it is a little weaker than I anticipated. It is my first rower though so maybe my expectations are higher than they should be.

Not ideal for CrossFit gym use
Purchased the Rogue rower b/c the large wheel solve an issue with C2 rowers breaking when being rolled over large transitions in the floor. Rogue wheels are good there and the rowing action is smooth and consistent. However, since the rower cannot be stored upright it must be folded and unfolded which the design team COMPLETELY missed the mark on this one. Total pain in the butt and very "clunky" process folding and especially unfolding this rower. For a CrossFit gym with a large membership base I would not recommend this rower. If you're the only one using it at home it's probably fine.
