AB-2 Rogue Adjustable Bench

The Ultimate in Versatility, from the Designers of the Nebula 1080 Bench

With more than 50 combinations of seat and back-rest positions to choose from, the AB-2 Rogue Adjustable Bench can easily adapt to each individual athlete, improving the overall efficiency and productivity of any strength training facility. No matter your size, workout preferences, or available training space, this compact, 11-gauge steel bench provides the rare combination of sturdiness and maneuverability that few other adjustable weight benches even attempt to match.

The AB-2 Rogue Adjustable Bench includes six different seat settings and nine additional back rest positions, making it easily among the most versatile weight benches on the market. Unlike most commercial-brand FID benches, though, this customization element is not achieved at the expense of quality craftsmanship. Made in America, the AB-2 is a direct descendant of the time-tested Nebula 1080 Utility Bench, and includes load-bearing rubber feet for stability, cordura edges for enhanced durability, and a convenient handle and wheels for easy mobility.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AB-2 ROCKS Listen, for years I was on the fence regarding purchasing this massive and overbuilt instrument for improving my physical stature and continued using my subpar wiggly unsecure bench. Then one day, I was benching and my old bench wiggled as I struggled with a last rep and this caused me to instinctively twitch just enough to pull a muscle. That WAS IT....I got onto Rogue with intentions of purchasing the less expensive model but then thought....this isn't even how much I spent on my computer and, you know what, I think my body is worth the price of the AB-2 . Regarding how it's shipped for those interested: In complete and utter style. It's completely assemble and boxed very securely, then wrapped in plastic and placed on a very high quality wooden pallet(meaning sturdy) and strapped securely several time to this pallet. The UPS freight called and made a delivery appointment and within 3 days, it was mine. No Regrets and I'll own this bench for the rest of my life and I think it will go to my son when I'm done. Nothing like a secure bench to allow you to lift to your last bit of strength is spent - this is one satisfied customer - thanks Rogue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best adjustable bench for a garage Last bench I will ever buy, typical overbuilt Rogue product, really heavy, inspires confidence. I planned to buy the less expensive adjustable bench but it was on backorder... I needed the order to ship quickly so bought-up. It was completely worth it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Strong, versatile, missing decline option I bought the AB-2 earlier this year because it is one of the highest quality and versatile benches available. I appreciate the firm pad which gives you stability. It is well made and near flawless like the majority of Rogue's gear. The handle needs spacers on each side of the collar that slides on the shaft because you have to wiggle it around when lifting it so it sinks in the center. This can be an easy fix. Also, as the previous review points out, there is currently no foot attachment available which would open up the option to use it as a decline bench. Some other similar benches on the market offer the foot attachment. Rogue, please build a part to slide into the end and make it compatible with our AB-2's so we can decline. The AB-2 will be a definite 5 star bench with the option for the foot attachment.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome! I order a lot of Rogue products and they have the best service going in my opinion. I emailed them a question and they responded in about an hour. Anyway, I ordered the bench last Wednesday and it came already! They also had a great shipping rate. I ordered the bench and a few new bumpers and the shipping was consolidated. Anyway, I've been going to major gyms all my life and the Rogue AB-2 may be the best bench I've ever seen. It is rock solid and doesn't wobble even a millimeter when inclined. It adjusts very easily and has so many points of adjustments to make it very handy. The wheels make it easy to move around despite its weight. Also, the handle folds out of the way. The pic on the Rogue site must be an old pic. The seat also has an adjustment for decline, like the Rae Crowther bench, so I assume the leg brace attachment will be available in the future. The sides of the bench are also covered in a mesh fabric, which looks good and seems like it will hold up well. After I have it and did a workout with it, I can honestly say I don't know why I even bothered considering another bench. Priced well, looks great, solid, great service, and shipped lighting fast- not sure what else someone would want.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is a beast! Worth the price. I echo the other reviews, the price is concerning at first, but after researching other options, this bench is a fraction more than the competition at the benefit of immeasurable quality against other brands. First off, it is almost 100 lbs, which means during heavy lifts, there is no teeter tottering, squeaking, flexing or a hint of give in this bench. Despite its weight, the quick lift handle and wheels make it a cinch for my wife and I to maneuver in a short space. The materials! The bench pad, stitching, angles and material is the nicest I have ever seen in a bench after 20 years of gym going. Adjusting this beast is obviously a cinch and the options allow this bench to truly function in a 90 degree angle or near 90, an issue I have had with other benches of inferior quality (you know, where the 90 is really a 93 pushing you forward, or the near 90 is really a nasty incline?) Pull the trigger, spend the cash and don't look back. This thing will last a lifetime, literally.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome bench I struggled to justify this over the flat bench, but I pulled the trigger anyway. My first observation after opening the box was how wide the bench was. My prior bench was under 10", so the difference was huge. Very firm & wide pad, easy adjustments and easy to move around. The only detail I could pick on is one of the pillow blocks was bolted in with the grease fitting hole showing between the pads. I PR'd on it's first use, the additional width definitely helps.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing I purchased this Bench and it got to Madison Wisconsin in 3 days. This bench puts all the commercial gym benches I've used to shame. This thing is solid and the quality of materials used make this bench worth every penny. Because this bench is so comfortable I almost decided to bring it into my room and use it as an office chair as well, lol. I recommend this to anyone that is looking for a bench with great support. It is wider than most benches I've used which provides phenomenal support to the shoulders.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wicked good bench! Owned this for a month now, seriously stout padding, easy to move, adjust, everything about it is just perfect. Showed up on the pallet fully assembled, had it inside and was working out on it 20 min after it arrived. This bench is more comfortable then the precor benches, and sturdier. This is a seriously nice product you won't be disappointed with your purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Bench I recently bought this for my basement home gym. It was a little more than I wanted to spend, but I'm glad I did. It arrived fully assembled and in perfect condition. This bench is beyond sturdy. It's clearly build to support large people with extremely heavy loads. The padding is a good firmness, doesn't absorb sweat, and cleans off easily. It's ever so slightly wider than many benches typically seen at commercial gyms. It felt a little different at first, but I've grown to like the extra support around my upper back. Adjustments are easy and the multitude of positions makes it easy to fine-tune the level of seat and/or back incline. The dangling handle and wheels make it very easy to move around. This is pretty much the ultimate flat-to-90 degree bench for a home gym. I seriously wish my gym had these.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Thing of Beauty This is not just a bench it is a thing of beauty. To be honest, I debated whether I wanted to invest that much money to purchase a bench. I finally made the decision to go with the AB-2 because there was nothing like it on the market. Like all Rogue products, the bench arrived in 3 days by freight. They really took care in shipping this baby. It arrived wrapped in plastic, and secured to a wooden pallet with heavy duty ties. When a company takes that much care to ship an item, you might expect something special. I was not disappointed. I was throughly impressed by the quality and craftsmanship. Super strong welds, easily adjustable, solid pads, and wide enough to provide a fantastic benching experience. It is defintely worth every penny I paid for it. If you can afford it and want a bench that will last forever this is way to go.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AB-2 Adjustable Bench At first I couldn't believe I was actually considering spending this much on a bench... But when it arrived and I got to use it, all of that initial sticker shock went out the window. So stable, so buff, so burly. Adjusts ANYWHERE you'd need it. PR's almost every time I've used it because I can get SO tight on this thing. If you're bigger (I'm 6'-1" 230) the size and thickness of the pad are worth it. Shoulder pain WAY WAY better after this bench. My only complaints: (and take these as suggestions to make an awesome bench even better) The handle out front is too small/short. You have room for a 2" handle that could be 12" long. With the short handle (even being taller) you have to bend awkwardly to get it up on the wheels. A longer handle would change the angle of approach making it easier to wheel around. That, or make the wheels either 1/2" larger in diameter or lower the wheels slightly. It just feels weird. My 5'-0" wife agrees. she can't get it even close to high enough to wheel it without it feels awkward. Also, make the rubber feet industrial grade adjustables like on a fridge or washing machine, the kind that screw up and down with big cogs you turn with your foot, so that those of us who train in a garage can adjust it perfectly to the slope and imperfections of the floor. I will easily make these changes myself so no stars off for that, just a suggestion for version 1.1.
