Assault AirBike

Finally, a heavy-duty exercise bike designed directly from the feedback of athletes and coaches. The Assault AirBike reinvents and retools nearly every component of the traditional fan bike, from the frame construction to the crank, pedals, monitor and more. The series is designed, manufactured, and tested in the USA by the experienced team at LifeCORE Fitness in Carlsbad, California.

Using air resistance, the Assault AirBike scales automatically to how hard you want to work. The harder you pedal, the greater the resistance. It's simple physics with big benefits.

  • LCD screen outputs: Watts – RPM -- Calories – Heart Rate -- Distance – Time – Odometer – Interval Training (Tabata and custom)
  • Heavy Duty Steel Frame eliminates side-to-side movement
  • 25" diameter Steel Fan
  • Hybrid seat with multi-adjustment options
  • Industrial powder coating for durability
  • Reinforced pedals and crank
  • 20 sealed cartridge bearings, utilized in every pivot

  • Who is the Assault AirBike Built For?

Virtually anyone. While fanbikes have existed for nearly half a century, modern advances in the technology have made them increasingly in-demand among military personnel, pro and college football/basketball/soccer teams, competitive cyclists and sprinters, and high performance athletes from the cross-training ranks. The great thing about the Assault AirBike, though, is that it’s equally effective for young people, beginner athletes, or those rehabbing from injury. You set your own pace. The bike’s multiple, custom seat adjustments also make for a more comfortable ride for people of varying heights and body types.

  • What About Durability?

As mentioned above, LifeCORE threw out many of the old stationary bike manufacturing methods and focused on a durable 21st century bike that could handle daily abuse at the best gyms in the world. Each bike is equipped with a thick-gauge chro-moly steel frame, with at least 1-2 sealed cartridge bearings in EVERY single pivot—from the flywheels and pedals to the bottom bracket and linkage arms. There are over 20 bearings in all, unmatched by most fitness bikes in the industry. The goal isn’t just reliability—it’s zero maintenance required over thousands of hours of use.

  • How About Technology?

In the age of smart phones and tablets, an old-fashioned, clunky fitness bike monitor simply doesn’t cut it. The Assault’s state-of-the-art LCD display console is still easy to navigate at the push of a button, but your customization options—from on-board programs to instant, multi-faceted monitor feedback—is almost limitless. Athletes can simultaneously track their heart rate, speed, RPM, time, calories burned, and more. Even watts can be monitored with precision accuracy, thanks to the Assault AirBike’s 20-horsepower electric motor and carefully calibrated torque measurement meter. You won’t just feel the effects of a good workout, you’ll be able to see the science behind it in real time.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Breaks down easily I purchased 2 bikes about a 3 months ago. The monitor on 1 of them came without the threading needed for the screw to mount on, the others arm bracket is loose and makes a clang sound whenever someone is on it. Very disappointed, these things cost lots of money and the quality isn't what I expected.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Use a threadlock when assembling I've worked in two gyms that had several of these and though they don't break, the screws come loose very often and need to be tightened down regularly. That's a problem if it happens in the middle of a workout. They need to include a bottle of threadlock in the box.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This thing is a BEAST! I bought this for my home gym, put it together last night and I will say the bike was well thought out as each piece comes to you with the correct bolts and washers in the piece they belong to. They left no stone unturned either when it comes to assembly as the step by step video made assembly about a 20 deal. Next is the programs are killer, I wanted something that would take full body cardio to the next level and this without a doubt is it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product! I bought this when it was on sell and had free shipping. The package arrived in three days, which I loved and was packaged very well. Assembly was easy, and took about 30min. My only complaint was it had a few minor scratches but nothing I was too worried about. Love my Rogue products. Great quality from a great company. I Will definitely be buying more stuff in the future.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bought it before riding it! I was in the process of moving with all of my gym equipment in storage for the foreseeable future; however, I still needed to get in my cardio. Since I own a treadmill and concept 2, I thought the next logical step would be to add an exercise bike. After much review I decided to pull the trigger on the Assault bike, and I had never even been on one before! The bike arrived via freight within three days, assembly was simple enough, and the bike exceeded expectations. Pros: a beast of a machine that you can absolutely slay yourself; you push hard and it pushes back. It is a quality piece of equipment that will surely stand up to some abuse. My cardio is pretty on point but I quickly learned the machine fires up the body and undoubtedly improves areas of muscular endurance that I was evidently lacking. Cons: the fan blows directly on you while you bike. I prefer no air and the feeling of almost passing out as I push myself. That said, putting the garage doors down in the summer provide a similar desired effect. A lot of bickering about the comfortability of the seat too, but it is debatable based on how much time you spend on it and your personal definition of what is comfortable. In summary, it is a great addition to your gym, a presumably durable machine, and pays the bills for elevating your fitness levels. While the price of the bike is steep, it is undoubtedly worth the investment in many respects. Even my 69 year old Dad started to ride the thing - a miracle!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hurts so good! A great addition to my training studio. Low impact for older clients but challenging enough to put another client (4 Time National Martial Artist title holder) on her knees. The seat is TERRIBLE but I purchased the bike when it went on sale for $799 + free shipping so it was a great deal. $30 for an upgraded seat and its perfect. I don't think it will be usable by individuals 5' or shorter. My 5'1" client is just able to use it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from very solid bike Great shipping package and easy to put together. Very solid bike. Worth the money over the lower costing cheaply made fan wheel bikes. I see all kinds of gains in my future.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from If you're into torturing yourself look no further! I bought this bike during the crossfit games promo ($800 was a steal) and it has been one of the best purchases I could have made. It's a great addition to any home gym and a great way to change up your cardio. The hiit sessions that are already built into the program are great and really give you that extra push. Even at $1,000 I'd still say its a great buy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from this bike is legit I own 8 Assault Air bikes and the seats are perfect. I owned the Schwinn AD6 until they all broke and the big seat cut into my thighs. This bike for sure is the real deal so get one. The last reviewer should go back to school!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from The seat is just so terrible! I received the bike last, happily assembled with anticipation enjoying indoor bicycling. I could not use it even 5 minutes because of the seat – the design of the seat is not good and it hurts so much. I am very disappointed. I am now looking for a new seat to fix this trouble. If I cannot find a right seat for me, I just completely loosed my money on this bike. Also, the design did not consider shorter people. The seat is very high and the adjustable level could not fix this problem.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from ASSAULT ON MY LIFE The assault bike is legit. If you want the "I just met my maker and barely made it back" feel, this is the bike to get. The assault bike is a brutal lung crusher and creates an insane quad pump. Get it, you will NOT be disappointed.
