Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality product This rope is amazing--I have used it for a multitude of things already and not just jump roping. You can use to attach to kettlebells to drag and or weight plates. You can (you buy a second one) attach both to chain link fences to conduct some intense metabolic conditioning. All in all it is a quality product and you won't be disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One badass rope I bought the jacketed bulldog. I got the jacket becuase I do most of my jumping outside, gym has popcorn ceiling. I tore a little the first time I jumped on concrete however anything that is 6lbs swing with speed would. I covered the bottem plastic section in duck tape and now it holds together great. The uses for the rope are many. I like to use it as a jump rope to make my jump roping more a grip trainer but I also enjoy carrying this rope with me. Nice, heavy, and it hurts lol

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice I really like this rope . I got the jacketed rope and wish i would have just got the non fray version as the cover moves allot on the rope while in use but is very usable . If you can do double unders with this you are a man .

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Brutal workout!!!!! Brutal is the word that first comes to mind for not only me but everyone I let try it and everyone likes it. Sure, the first couple are easy and rather slow (you simply can't swing it fast) but after a while (not very many) it starts getting heavy and pretty soon you simply can't make it go around anymore. Regular jump ropes you either run out of breath or you simply make a mistake and hit your feet. With this rope, you simply can't swing it anymore. Mostly upper body workout, wrist, shoulders, chest, arms. It's a slow swing, probably one per second instead of the usual 2 per second with a regular jump rope. I bought the black non-fray rope based on the other review about the jackets and jumping inside I don't think it's ever going to wear out. Maybe if you did a lot outside on rough surfaces you might want the jacketed one. Mine weighs exactly 5.0 pounds as advertised. It really needs swivel handles, they start getting twisted because they don't move with the rope. I subtracted one star for this, especially for the money, swivel handles should be there.
