They work, but with some flawsThese are great for protecting the knurl on your bar from scratching and dings you would otherwise see when using the standard pin and pipe safeties. But I have two complaints.
The first is that the stitching has some flaws in it. Some of the stitches didn't make it through the strap and as a result there are broken threads which if you don't mess with them, they'll probably stay put. I doubt flaws in the sewing will affect the performance of these straps, but they are defects nonetheless.
The second issue is the way the straps mount onto the rack. Rogue introduced a 2.0 version of these straps but only for the Monster (1" hardware) rigs. The 2.0 version allows for quickly adjusting the height of the straps. To adjust the height of these 1.0 straps you have to remove the pin and the strap from the mount, then move the mount, then re-install the strap and pin. This gets annoying between exercises and it's hard to remember where exactly they should go each exercise. I would highly suggest that Rogue consider making all their safety straps in the 2.0 version which allows for quickly adjusting the strap height.
because of the issue mentioned above, I opted to just buy pin an pipe safeties in addition to these straps. I use the straps for bench presses and the pin and pipes for squats since I don't need to move the straps out of the way to do that, I just install the pin and pipe system above the straps.
On the plus side. The straps feel very safe when doing a bench press. I allow the bar to touch the straps slightly and don't have to worry about my safety or my bar getting dinged up.

Worth the wait!I added these to my RML-390F upgrade kit. They are relatively easy to adjust, just takes a few moments to figure out where to set them. The red hitch pin handles did get in the way of my bench press setup by not allowing me to set the plates all the way in on the bar. All I had to do to fix this was put the hitch pin in from the inside so the retainer clip was facing out.
Best option for safeties as they will not harm the knurl on the bar and they can be used as a start point for lifts. I have been waiting for these to come out for months and they are worth every penny.
