Ohio made heavy duty belt

The Rogue Ohio Lifting Belt is hand-crafted not to compete with the world of mass-produced, sporting-goods-store weightlifting belts, but to offer a stronger, longer-lasting alternative for customers serious about strength training and investing for the long haul.

One of the distinguishing features of the Rogue Ohio Lifting Belt is its vegetable tanned leather. Derived from the all-natural cowboy method of tanning hides, the vegetable tanning process can take weeks to complete, versus the mere hours of modern sole tanning. The reward for this painstaking effort, however, is a firm, ultra-durable, water-resistant leather weight belt with a rich, natural brown tone. The vegetable tanning process means you'll receive a belt with a softer feel that is just as strong as the rest, with a break-in time that is nearly nonexistent.

Because it bears the Rogue name, it goes without saying that this leather lifting belt is also Made in the USA and optimized for convenience, with a single-buckle design for quick, easy adjustments. Thickness may vary from belt to belt due to the properties of leather.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great, solid belt! Just received mine. As many others have said, sizing is tough to do when you can't try one on in store. I'm 6', 210 and measured about 36'' around my waist (measurement was taken as per their directions, make sure the tape measure is snug) and I ordered the L. I was pretty nervous but ended up getting a perfect fit. I'm pretty much right in the middle of the belt so lots of room to go up and down in size. Not as stiff as many I've tried but it still bites a bit on deep squats - I'm sure that will tone down after breaking it in a bit more. Overall I'm really happy with the belt. It would be great to have a Canadian distribution centre to avoid some shipping fees!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from PR with new belt Today isn't leg day but I wanted to try out my new belt & also new knee sleeves. I got a PR for 250 & also 255. I am happy with the belt, only thing wrong is I am on the first hole but I plan to lose some weight & hopefully go down on the holes, If anything this will be my weightloss motivation. I am 161-165lbs & 5'7 female and ordered a medium.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid Belt! I've been using this belt for about two weeks now and am really impressed with it. It feels sturdy and provides a great deal of support. I do not feel it digging into my ribs when doing ATG squats which was a concern of mine seeing how thick this belt is. I'm 5'11" and 205lbs and based upon the natural waist measurement it recommended the XL but I could've gone with a large. Still, I couldn't be happier with it!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from A good general/ first belt for general use. As a powerlifter I got this belt very early on and after 6 months with the belt I have decided to upgrade only because this belt is not super stiff, but it's not ment to be. I also feel the 2 layers of leather should be glued aswell to hold them together better. Wears very well and took no time to wear in. For a casual lifter this belt is amazing, it's soft and doesn't hurt like a stiff powerlifting belt and does support you very well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brand New with a Worn in Feeling I bought this belt to replace and old belt my father gave me when I began my path of weightlifting whenever I was 13. I was worried moving on because you get a certain "worn in" feeling out of a belt you have dumped hours of blood, sweat and tears into. Then I pulled this out of the package. This belt is ... INCREDIBLE. It comes with that worn in feeling, meaning it hugs your body from the get go, but gives you best kind of Iron Hug you could ask for. I run an extremely harsh deadlift program and this thing has always left me feeling confident and powerful from start to finish. The spacings on the belt are perfect for different sizes and the construction is top notch. After all its from Rogue, and made in the US of A. Merica

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality belt Bought this 6 months ago and it's a nice luxury to have when starting to lift heavy. Mainly use for back squat but fits the waist well. Just flexible enough without being to stiff. Pretty waist conforming out of the bag. This is the only belt I've used besides cheap gym ones, if you have been using them making the switch to your own belt will not be a disappointment. Only thing I would add is to learn how to correctly use a belt once you purchase this and use it to brace your core against not hold you gut in. Had the belt for a few months before I started to harness its full potential. One purchase you won't regret feel like it will last a lifetime.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Soft and sturdy Great belt. Feels soft and broken in right out of the box, and has amazing sturdy support. Have Tried other 4" belts and they are either too stiff and uncomfortable, or they feel flimsy with very little support.
