Ohio made heavy duty belt

The Rogue Ohio Lifting Belt is hand-crafted not to compete with the world of mass-produced, sporting-goods-store weightlifting belts, but to offer a stronger, longer-lasting alternative for customers serious about strength training and investing for the long haul.

One of the distinguishing features of the Rogue Ohio Lifting Belt is its vegetable tanned leather. Derived from the all-natural cowboy method of tanning hides, the vegetable tanning process can take weeks to complete, versus the mere hours of modern sole tanning. The reward for this painstaking effort, however, is a firm, ultra-durable, water-resistant leather weight belt with a rich, natural brown tone. The vegetable tanning process means you'll receive a belt with a softer feel that is just as strong as the rest, with a break-in time that is nearly nonexistent.

Because it bears the Rogue name, it goes without saying that this leather lifting belt is also Made in the USA and optimized for convenience, with a single-buckle design for quick, easy adjustments.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A true Gem. The Gear Specs are spot on. The attention to detail has made this belt as great to look at as it is functional, and the best part is, it is 100% American made! I would highly recommend this belt to anyone looking for something they may hand onto for a lifetime!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bomber! Wanted this belt when it first came out, but my size sold out. Was able to order it this time around and just got it the day before yesterday. Used it immediately out of the box as it was heavy squat day. Perfect! No break in time, comfortable, and incredibly sturdy! Looks like it will hold up for life.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Killer Belt This is a great belt to lift heavy with. For me personally it is way too wide to WOD in but for the days I just lift it is perfect. My only gripe is, within a week of owning the belt one of the rivets broke but doesn't seem to effect the integrity of the belt probably more cosmetic than anything. Still a 5 star product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great weight lifting belt! This is the best weightlifting belt I have owned in terms of function and looks! I have obtained personal records in the deadlift, back, front, and overhead squats. The back support has also allowed me to better all shoulder to overhead lifts. A drawback is that buckle gets in the way when I power clean. I hope as I break the belt in, the front buckle will get more supple and not obstruct my clean movements. This is absolutely a great and wise purchase!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Provides awesome stability & support! Definitely a must! I've never been big into use belts but I decided to give it a shot to help me improve my heavier lifts. All I can say is WOW. The OHIO Belt made a huge difference in my core stability and allowed me to see results from the first time I put it on. Its such a versatile piece of equipment and I'm more than satisfied with my investment. If you're on the fence about buying this, don't be. It's worth every dollar. A+ in my book.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great belt This belt arrived today, and I am very pleased with it. It is flexible and feels fully broken in right out of the box, but the thickness and width make it feel very sturdy. The leather is soft and the hardware seems strong. The only quality issue is that the spacing between the stitching and the edge of the belt isn't consistent near the rounded end of the belt (not the buckle end) and doesn't line up quite right, but this doesn't appear to be something that will impact strength or durability. I didn't measure around my stomach where I wear a lifting belt, but I weigh 220 with a 33-inch waist and the large is the right size. There are 10 holes, and the fourth hole is a good tight fit. Could cinch it down to the fifth hole if I wanted a very tight fit. Looking forward to my next squat day!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Belt So I thought I'd add a review a year after owning the belt. I can honestly say that this is, hands down, the best belt I've ever used. I won't say that I'm a person that's used every belt on the market, but I got tired of using loaners from boxes and gyms. The belt breaks was super stiff when I got it, and I actually just folded it in half and put my coach on it, rotating it once an hour for about a day to get it to loosen up. Others I've talked to have actually rolled it as tight as they can and drove over it. It broke in pretty quickly. Anyway, the belt offers great support and I love the wide front. My *only* minor issue is that the buckle in the front can be a bit uncomfortable. I've found that shifting the front of the belt to the right a bit prevents the discomfort. I'm not the only one I've seen doing it with this. I'm sure that Rogue will incorporate a small padding between the buckle and the person in the future. Love the belt.
