The Rogue Ohio Power Bar

Fully machined and assembled in Columbus, OH, the 29MM Rogue Ohio Power Bar features a 205,000 PSI steel shaft, single powerlifting knurl marks, and center knurling. The bar’s knurl pattern is deep and coarse without being sharp or abrasive, and the 29mm shaft diameter and high tensile strength result in little to no flex or whip. This makes the Ohio Power Bar the go-to for the bench, squat, and deadlift.

The Rogue Ohio Power Bar includes bronze bushings, a snap ring design, and 16.25” of loadable sleeve length. It’s available as a 45LB bar, with your choice of two finish options: Black Zinc shaft with Bright Zinc sleeves, or Bare Steel. Also, we are offering the Rogue 20KG Ohio Power Bar, with friction-welded sleeves and 16-7/8" loadable sleeve space.

*Warranty against bending does not cover any bar which has been damaged due to negligent or faulty use, alteration, maintenance, storage or handling by the user. Negligent or faulty use includes abusive dropping of the bar (i.e., dropping the bar on a box, bench, spotter arms or pins in a power rack, excessive dropping with insufficient or damaged bumpers, or excessive dropping with iron plates, and similar usage). Any specific issues regarding a Rogue product with which a customer is not satisfied will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. We have found that most problems with bars we replace are related to abusive use rather than manufacturing or materials issues.

Please Note: Like any fine piece of machined steel, a bare steel barbell will require some upkeep. Occasionally brushing the bar down with 3-in-1 oil or WD-40 will create a beautiful patina look. This is how bars were made for decades and it really does produce an unmatched feel.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bare Steel Is Awesome! My bare steel version arrived today and I'm very impressed; I wanted aggressive knurl and I got it. It beats the the feel of the newer TPB in zinc and the older bare steel model that you can find second hand, if you're lucky. I've handled the zinc OPB and it was nice, but I think the aggressive knurl gets a little lost in the coating. If Rouge ever comes out w/a stainless steel model, it would be well worth the coin.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love This Bar I ordered the Ohio Power Bar for the gym I work at. Straight out of the box, it is beautiful! As a woman with small hands, I am confident that I can grip this bar even with the 29 MM shaft; the knurling is deep but doesn't cut into my hands too much. Already had several great comments from members as well! I would definitely buy one for myself.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not too shabby I bought three of these. Pretty good bars. Solid. I don't prefer one over the other two. Much obliged Rogue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Built to last Love this bar, won't bend or break. I've dropped it with 3 plates on each side onto metal bars and it has no marks and didn't bend in the video.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from If God benched, he'd use this bar. First off, the other reviews were spot on, so thanks guys. I bought the "bare steel" version. Went with this one for the "no flex" option. The other Ohio bar was also in the running(probably gonna buy it eventually). The bar WILL come well packaged and well oiled, and the oil naturally went away after this one week of use. This bar came so pristine, I almost didn't wanna use it(ok, so it had ONE minor ding. But that's just how I roll, I'll never have anything perfect :( ) I just wanted to put it on the wall and stare at it. I've only had it for 1 week, but it feels and looks extremely durable. If it moves on this bar, it moves smoooooooooth! Like the others said, the knurling on this bar is no joke, and that's a good thing. I've benched, mil pressed, dead-lifted. etc. and not once have I feared a slip. After lifting in a gym for years, this bar kinda threw me for a loop with how different having a good, quality bar can change the way i lift. Fun Fact: Ordered Sunday night, it shipped Monday, and was delivered Thursday. 3 days from Columbus to Orlando ain't bad. I had the curl bar, and 160lbs worth of weights added as well. If all goes well and things hold up as advertised and hoped, Rogue has a customer for life.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best bar I've ever used My first 'real bar' purchase was the Chan bar and candidly, I didn't love it. I finally sold it and got the Power Bar and what an unexpected difference. Pros: Knurling is aggressive and those paws won't move. Rigid for the power lifts. Spin (while not necessary for PL's) is unreal. It's buttery smooth and completely blows away the Chan bar (Chan didn't spin well and had noisy sleeves). Bar is perfect in the hands for the heavy lifts. Cons: none so far

Rated 5 out of 5 by from First bar I have had this bar for a year and it is still kicking and taking names.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Go for the bare steel I've had this bar for a year now. It's durable. I failed a 505lb squat, and the bar fell roughly 18" onto the safeties; there was no deformation to the bar. Straight as an arrow. The knurling is very aggressive. For single attempt deadlifts it's perfect, but rep work can be a bit masochistic. I ordered the bar with the black zinc shaft. It looked fantastic at the beginning. Over time the finish has been worn off from my shins rubbing up against the bar. If I was to do it again I would choose the bare steel version. Issues aside it's an excellent purchase. I'll be using this for many years to come.
