The Rogue Trap Bar is great for lifting massive weight.

One benefit of a trap bar deadlift is that it puts less stress on the lumbar spine since the load is centered and not off axis like a traditional deadlift.   It is also easier for beginners and less mobile athletes to use.

Specifications:

  • Rackable: can be racked in a power rack, squat stand or rig
  • Knurled handles for grip
  • Olympic sleeves
  • Handle Spacing: 25" on center
  • 16" Loadable sleeve space

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing piece of equipment for Deadlift assisstance. After using the Rogue Trap Bar for a few weeks and not touching a straight bar once, I tested my Deadlift 1RM. It had improved by 30 lbs in just a few weeks after having been stagnant for months. This is an excellent piece of equipment! It is by FAR the best bar i have ever owned. I will be purchasing nothing but Rogue bars in the future.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Bar, OK Finish Excellent bar overall. I was very impressed with the packaging but I'm sure my UPS guy hated it. The box was about 6"x3'x8' and 100 lbs. The loadable length on the one I received is 16", not 13" (I can add one more bumper). The welds look pretty good, but some weld splatter got on the handle right where you hold it, something I can easily fix but definitely a manufacturing issue Rogue should address. The knurling is excellent. The biggest problem I'll have with it is finding a place to keep it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bar does what it's supposed to No remorse for buying another piece of equipment from Rogue. Trap bar is as described and will be a workhorse like all previous purchases. Only complaint is primarily (though not purely) cosmetic. As others have noted there seems to be something different in the paint application to the rackable areas of the bar. The cage seems to have heavier application (powder coated?) but the rackable section of the bar collars have been completely stripped of pain in just a couple months of use. For me in my garage gym it makes no difference. Rust will eventually develop but that will make it fit in more with my other bars! To some who might return for cosmetic reasons I could see this being an issue.
