The Rogue Bar is a polished 28.5 mm bar with no center knurling and both powerlifting and Olympic lifting knurling marks. This bar has the great understated knurling that has made Rogue bars famous. It features high quality bronze bushings for reliable spin, and will whip enough for use in Olympic Weightlifting.
The steel shaft is carefully coated with bright zinc then hit with a second black zinc coating that give the bar an old school chalky feel. There are no other bars like this on the market.

perfect all-around bar
Review by JeffMQualityI've had my Rogue Bar over 2 years and it holds up to abuse like a champ. Despite being in a garage (in humid South Carolina) for all of that time, it hasn't broken down at all. Oh, how wrong I was.
I would have paid twice the cost for something of this impressive quality. The knurling, the spin, the fit with the bumpers - everything that folks have said in previous reviews is true, and more directly, what they said is *important.* It makes a difference that these things are so much better. I can feel it when I lift. I cannot imagine going back to cheap bars after being exposed to this.

I gave this a 4 star rating due to the packaging. my bar arrived with the packaging partly torn open on one end. as a result, there is a small nick on the end of one of the sleeves of the bar. It does not affect overall use, more of a cosmetic defect so I decided not to return it. Still a little disappointed that for the price paid, it did not come in the secure packaging other reviewers mentioned and it did get some damage as a result. Also some of the black zinc coating on the bar was alittle scratched as well, but again, that seems more cosmetic and does seem to affect the use of the bar.Great performance

Had slight issue with some of the black zinc finish coming off after approx 6 months of hard use (this was during cleaning w/ WD-40) however performance and feel seem uneffected. Review by CharlesQualityTo echo a lot of the other reviews, I have only had experience with globo gym bars and the hand-me-down bar that my dad got me 15 years ago. Getting this Rogue bar was so different than those other bars. Much easier to grip and just has a better feel. The best part is that all my new bumper plates fit perfectly, where as only about half fit on my other bar. I'm absolutely loving this bar so far and can't wait to use it more. The knurl is unlike any I've ever felt before and creates a very strong grip without being sharp at all. I researched bars for a few months before purchasing and I decided on this one even though it was a little outside what I wanted to spend. Definitely worth it. You may be thinking that you can get away with a 100-200 dollar bar for now, but I would highly advise against it. Those will undoubtedly bend, causing serious problems with heavy cleans/snatches/deadlifts and the sleeves will begin to rotate less as well. I bought these bars because I am transitioning from powerlifting to CrossFit. At first these bars felt very different in my hands. The knurl was not as sharp at the TPB which I didnt like at first but have come to love it. Review by SteveinNCQualityBeen lifting for 21 years but only doing snatches, cleans and crossfitting for about 3 years. Until now, I always used the typical bolt on OLY bar and 310lb weight set. When the bolts froze in place, I started looking on the crossfit forum which led me to check out a rogue bar. Almost bought the beater bar, but was glad I called Rogue and was told to get the Rogue Bar. It was well worth the $274 which was more than my entire weight set w/ the other bar. the collars rotate so smoothly and quietly it's almost like an illusion. I ended up adding some bumper plates a few weeks later. During a recent workout, I had my Rogue bar loaded up for snatches and my old bar loaded up to thrusters. Just cleaning the thruster barbell up really emphasized how much smoother the rogue bar works. I also have a rogue pullup bar (the hanging rom the straps kind) and some rogue rings. The pullup bar is excellent. The rings are good too, but a little pitted from rust after 2 years in my garage.
I really like supporting a local, made in the USA business like rogue. The equipment is high quality and the service excellent. I don't mind paying a bit more for this. And a lifetime warranty - who offers that!

Review by SethQualityI have a pair of Rogue Bars and a York Oly bar for my garage gym. I love my York bar, but it hasn't gotten much use since receiving my Rogue Bars. The knurling is very aggressive and takes a few days to get used to if you haven't had good, aggressive bars to use. The bar holds chalk well, but I haven't had to use as much because the knurling is so grippy as it is. I absolutely love the warranty and the fact that Rogue seems to stand behind its products. In fact, that is what persuaded me to buy this bar over the B & R bar. However, I have to say that after lifting weights for 3 to 5 days a week for the last 30 years I prefer a steel finish. It's hard to explain… It just seems like the rogue bar is sort of shiny and "painted." I know it is probably a much more sophisticated coating than I have described. But it does NOT feel like a steel bar. I work out in my home gym one or two days a week (with my new Rogue bar). I work out in my regular gym another one or two days a week. My regular gym has all Ivanko products. It would have been extra money, but if I had to do it over again I probably would've purchased an Ivanko Olympic bar. This bar feels solid, still looks as good after a year and a half of use as it did on day one, and it spins very nicely.
