This is a 29mm powerlifting bar designed to the specs of Louie Simmons founder of Westside Barbell.  This bar features an aggressive deep knurl that is well suited to the big 3 lifts: squat, bench and deadlift. This bar has single powerlifting knurl marks and a center knurl to keep the bar in place during the heaviest of squats.

*Warrantied by manufacturer. Warranty against bending does not cover any bar which has been damaged due to negligent or faulty use, alteration, maintenance, storage or handling by the user. Negligent or faulty use includes abusive dropping of the bar (i.e., dropping the bar on a box, bench, spotter arms or pins in a power rack, excessive dropping with insufficient or damaged bumpers, or excessive dropping with iron plates, and similar usage). Any specific issues regarding a Rogue product with which a customer is not satisfied will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. We have found that most problems with bars we replace are related to abusive use rather than manufacturing or materials issues.

Westside Power Bar is rated 4.9286 out of 5 by 14.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent All Around Bar I have owned this bar for over a year and I could not be happier with my decision to purchase it. I've loaded it up over 600 lbs and it performed perfectly. Still straight, very little discernible whip even at that weight.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Barbell For the Benchpress I had considered buying a high end barbell for a while, but was always leery of spending so much money on a Barbell when you can get a basic one at Walmart for like $100.00. I finally decided to buy this bar after seeing the Ed Coan/Mark Bell Video. After one workout with the bar I am very satisfied with my purchase. We all have our favorite bars for benching at the gym. This is one of those bars that most people will prefer to use. I don't know if I would recommend this bar for serious squatting or deadlifting, but it is really good for the bench press. It is a "mean" bar with deep knurling and very solid. A good purchase for anyone, like me, who takes their bench press seriously.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One Solid Bar! I've had my Westside Power Bar for about a week now and I absolutely love it! The fine craftsmanship and high quality are evident and the deep knurling is perfect. Thanks for offering such a great product Rogue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice bar! I bought one to donate to our local fitness center and everyone who has used it is very happy with it. The knurling is aggressive, but not an issue on my hands, and the bar just doesn't move on my shoulders when doing squats. Nice piece of equipment. Quick delivery too. Thanks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Impressive bar Very good multi-purpose power bar. I loaded it up to 530 pounds and it barely bent. For squats it is good up to probably 580. If you squat regularly more than 500 go for the Texas Squat Bar or the Mastodon Sqaut Bar. The sleeves spin well, and the knurl is exellent. The black oxide finish is the way to go for power lifting bars. Great bar Rogue!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GREAT BAR As a powerlifter, I have used many bars, for many years. And after reading some of the reviews listed, I have to get some issues off my chest. First off, this bar is better than a Texas power bar. With a more aggressive knurling, and a thicker bar diameter, 29 mm, and yes, a higher psi, 205,000 vs a 186,000 psi of an (original) Texas power bar, it is absolutely more rigid. Look up the ratings online. In addition, I don't care how rigid a bar is, if you abuse it, you will loose the integrity of the bar and bend it. Narrow uprights to re-rack a heavy barbell will not be kind to any barbell. Period. Be smart, and a barbell like this will last a very long time. In short, I am very impressed. GREAT BAR!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from There's Good, Better, Best I have several Rogue bars... this one is no different in quality. It's a great bar! It arrived, quickly and with a few minor blemishes. As far as being a "Power Bar" the bar gets a "better" rating... it's certainly stiffer and has a more aggressive knurling than a Rogue or Operator Bar, but it's also a LONG way from a Texas Power Bar. If you're looking for a quality bar that will hold up with regular use of 500lbs it's a great bar... if you're looking for something more towards a competition bar- look else where.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incredible Quality, VERY Aggressive Knurling The quality is amazing on this bar, and it is well worth the investment. My hands will take a few weeks to get used to the aggressive knurling on the bar, but that's a good thing!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Rogue Westide Power Bar - A GREAT POWERLIFTING BAR! I recently needed to replace a 20+-year-old 20kg barbell. After a great deal of research and a few product inquiries with the Rogue Fitness Team, I decided to go with the Rogue Westside Power Bar. For the past 2 weeks, I have been using the Rogue Westside Power Bar for the big 3-power lift or core exercises (squats, dead lifts and bench press) with the Rogue Competitive Bumper Plates. The Westside Bar is a very solidly built power bar. It has good spin/rotation, the knurl is deep, which is great for bench pressing and dead lifts and the "Westside" bulldog logo looks great. I wanted a great power-lifting bar that will not "flex" under pressure. At 205K tensile strength, with a lifetime warranty, the Westside Power Bar was the winner. I have been very pleased with the performance and look of the Westside Power Bar - so if you are looking for an outstanding power bar, I think the Westside Power Bar is as great one to consider - I trust that you will not be disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good bar This bar does not have a lot of reviews, so hopefully this helps. After looking at a lot of different bars, I finally chose this one and am very happy with my choice. It is a nice looking bar overall and has a good grip. Grip is a little rough, but not painful where you can only hold it for 1 or 2 reps. I have the rogue bar and really like that bar and its knurling (grippy, but not rough). After using the westside bar, the rogue knurling feel like a fine knurling. I was considering the texas power bar that everyone seems to rave about, but I was concerned with how rough the knurling is on that bar and also I wanted a 29 mm bar (texas bar is 28.5 mm I think). The center knurl on this bar grips your back with squats and the bar does not move. I can squat fine with the rogue bar that doesn't have center knurling, but this bar just holds on to your back. Only downside is that this is a pricey bar. Unfortunately there are not a lot of power bars that are 29 mm in size. The B and R bar is, but I didn't want an uncoated bar and it had a lot of bad reviews in terms of quality control. I think if rogue made their power bar 29 mm to distinguish it from its regular rogue bar, along with its center knurl, it would be a killer bar to own since I really like their bar. 29 mm to me seems to be easier to hold on your back for squats and gripping for bench. Deadlifts may be harder due to the lack of whip and increased grip diameter, but that is why I have the rogue bar for that an Olympic lifts.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Get it This bar has an awesome knurl and grips very well to the hands. Combine this with a Rogue bar for the oly stuff and you will be set. I love the fact that the nicest bar I have ever used is in my basement!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent bar This bar is an excellent all-around bar for training the SQ, BP, DL, and OHP. It's stiff and doesn't really flex plus it has a nice deep knurling. It's got a nice finish, it's easy to maintain, and has quickly become a favorite amongst the variety of bars we have at our facility.
