Description du produit

Way too expensive and poorly designed.
Having set up a 24-inch rack, there aren’t many options for safeties, so I bought this product. I previously had the “Monster Lite” version, but why change the design for the “Monster” version??? The metal parts are too wide, making it difficult to insert/remove them from the rack holes because you have to be perfectly aligned—which is impossible due to the excessive lateral play. Why design this product with such a width, especially when the straps themselves are much narrower and end up moving side to side? And the choice of bolts to secure the straps—I really don’t understand it. Not only is it completely impractical, but the thread is too long, so the straps rub against it, which is not great for durability. To compensate for these major design flaws, I 3D-printed new parts to replace the UHMW inserts with wider versions that allow for finer lateral adjustment. As a result, there’s no longer any issue inserting/removing them from the rack. I also designed them with a small lip on each side to prevent rotation, unlike the original ones, which all sit at different angles. And I replaced the bolts with magnetic pins, which adds a non-negligible extra cost, making the value for money even worse. Now that I’ve made these modifications, it’s finally an accessory that’s easy and enjoyable to use—but at what cost!!!

Poorly thought out
Terrible. only 1 of 2 options when ordering the fm-6 and it blocks the holes at the bottom for the pully system. Also a pain to move up and down, there isn't enough slack to do more than a few spaces at a time.

Not easy to adjust or remove
Works well for only its intended use case, but super hard to adjust. So tight that you can only move each side a few notches at a time. Makes it really hard to use other accessories. Even after bringing it to the bottom, it still blocks my cable attachments from sliding to the button notch. Should have gotten a safety that was easier to move or detach. If I try to move it down, I can only adjust 3 notches at a time or it gets stuck. Imagine moving it from notch 24 to 6…

Excellent Safety Option
I opted for straps on both my RM4 Power Rack and Westside Monster Bench Rack. I haven’t experienced the over “tightness” others have. I can easily move three hole up or down at a time on the RM4 43” straps and two holes at a time on the Bench Rack’s 24” straps. What I like best about the straps is they have a little bet of give so that the barbell will be just lightly touching the straps at the bottom of the rep yet it doesn’t help you. Another benefit is being able to set either the fore or the aft bracket lower or higher than the other so that the barbell will roll safely away from you in case of a missed rep. I’ve used the pin pipes and flip down safeties before and straps will always be my first choice.

Disappointed
Everything that Jake said below is true. They are EXTREMELY tight and if they had a similar style to the monster lite for removing it would be great. However if you have the twin functional trainer removing this is a must to use the lowest setting on the pullies overall bad design..

Very bad and outdated
This product is poorly designed and a huge pain to adjust. Furthermore it managed to scratch the red powder coat on my RM3. Many competitors have a far greater solution but Rogue keeps being outdated.

Look nice, but that's about it
I bought the twin functional trainer which includes these. They look nice, but otherwise very poorly designed. Awful to try to adjust, and since I have pulleys on my rack, they block the pulleys from the lowest possible spot. The only solution is to actually remove the strap safeties which is a whole other task itself. To add insult to injury, it scratched up the gunmetal grey coating on my brand new uprights. I have a pair of Bells of Steel flip down safeties coming in to replace these. Rogue doesn't even offer 30" flip downs that I could find, and if even if they did, they would be overpriced. Don't waste your time with these, just replace them immediately.

We're sorry to see the safeties have damaged the powder coat on your uprights! We have reached out via email to take a closer look at this, including what appears to be a modification to the bracket's bolt. We're happy to look into this with you and appreciate you raising it to our attention.

Hard to remove/adjust.
I am extremely dissatisfied with the Monster safties. Would be perfect if it was like the monster lite setup but for a 3x3 upright. The current configuration is so cumbersome that I am forced to either fully retract or remove the safety bars. When engaged, they are excessively tight and difficult to adjust vertically between the uprights. In retrospect, I should have opted for third-party safety bars or the tubular safety option.
