With no plating, the knurl is left exactly how we machined it, providing a great feel that cannot be achieved with other finishes.

We like to describe the Ohio Bar knurl utilized on the B&R Bar as "middle of the road." It provides solid grip for a heavy pull, yet not too aggressive for multiple, high rep sets. A lot of testing went into this knurl profile that has become our signature knurl for more than a decade.

Regular cleaning and oiling will be necessary for bare steel after each use, gradually developing a patina while preserving its unmatched feel. For optimal results, we recommend regularly brushing the knurl with a nylon bristle brush and 3:1 oil to keep it clear of debris and chalk. Wipe dry with a clean cloth.
