Product Description

Developed by Animalhouse Fitness, MonkeyFeet is a patented, ratchet-based shoe attachment uniquely designed to hold a standard dumbbell, up to 160 LBS in weight. This innovation allows athletes to lift DBs with their feet just as they would with their hands, opening up dozens of leg training movements (leg extensions, high knees, hamstring curls, raises, donkey kicks, etc.) without the need of expensive machines.

Sold as singles or as a pair, MonkeyFeet work interchangeably on the left and right foot, and they are equipped to fit most shoe sizes. Each 1.2 LB attachment is constructed from high-end materials and incorporates ratchet technology borrowed from the action sports world, keeping the dumbbell secured below the heel for optimal comfort and freedom of motion. Just fold, clamp, and ratchet to secure the DB, then get your work in. Leg Day can now move from the gym to the park, home, work . . . MonkeyFeet’s portability puts no limits on where you train.

Great concept poor execution
3rd use. The rubber liner that contacts the dumbbell has fractured and delaminated. They come apart mid set with relatively light weights (15lbs) due to their flexibility. It feels like they went to market with a prototype. This could be a great product with minor improvements.

Super clunky and hard to put on
By the time I get these on, my 15 minutes of free workout time without the kids is over. Super clunky, ratchet strap doesn’t fasten well, and though it says it fits most weights, it doesn’t fit mine.

Not a premium product
I bought this product in February and it gets light use in my home gym with low weight (~15lbs). At ~4 months the heel pad started tearing. In the last month the tear is getting larger. I contacted AnimalHouse customer support because I wanted to confirm this is not expected durability for such light use. They responded saying since this issue doesn’t affect functionality they will not support. I think others should know this is a novel product to train neglected muscle groups, but this is not a quality product and the manufacturer does not support their claim of “premium product” and “100% satisfaction guaranteed”. -1 star for price -1 star for durability -1 star for customer support

Not easiest to get on and use
A bit of a struggle to attach to the boot and get the weight attached. Don’t believe it is better than other standard gym equipment.

Hey hey they're the monkeys' feet
Fantastic features. You can switch dumbbells very quickly like ripping in and out of snowboard bindings. You aren't very mobile at the time, but because of the weight centering on the bottom of your midfoot/heel, you can utilize the center of gravity efficiently as the lower stability acts as a ballast when using dumbbells. Unlike other systems that can be cattywampus and end up tweaking or leaning against your ankle or foot on one side, these tend to act as a centering force under your foot which seems to be among the most stable designs from my experience. I can wear one on each foot and do sets on each side pretty readily holding onto something with my hands. So I think they're pretty an universal application. It would probably be better to have two binding straps distributing the weight more evenly than just one, but I'm sure that will come along soon enough.
Yes, I recommend this product

Bad quality
I used it only 3 times with dumbbells of 10 kilos and it’s already broken
