Rogue Manta Ray Adjustable Bench

Upgrading from a standard home-gym bench to the Rogue Manta Ray was a night-and-day difference. You don’t fully understand the value of a premium bench until you actually use one, and the Manta Ray really highlights that gap. Everything about it feels precise, stable, and over-engineered in the best possible way. Build Quality & Aesthetics Aesthetically, the bench looks fantastic. The lines, the angles, the UHMW-protected ladder, and the clean welds make it genuinely feel like a commercial-grade piece of equipment. Coop from GGR complained about the Rogue handle not being knurled, but its aluminum not plastic and as it has the Rogue logo its much more aestheticly pleasing the the knurled handle on the seat. I would love to see more colour options in Europe. Only black and red were available and I chose black — it looks great, but it does show every little scuff or mark, especially given how robust the powder coat is. That’s just the trade-off with any MG black equipment: it’ll mark easily, and with a premium bench you naturally want to baby it. I scuffed mine on the first day and couldn’t perfectly match the paint, but I’ve accepted it’s simply a sign of use. I wpuld love to not have paint chipped but Home gym equipment is meant to be used, not kept museum-perfect. Pad Quality The pad is another standout feature — firm, supportive, and with a grippy texture that locks you in. Because Rogue uses a performance-grade grippy vinyl rather than a smooth shiny vinyl, surface marks are normal. They’re not damage; they’re the imprinting and light scuffing that naturally happens with grippy textures. It’s the same on most competition-style pads. Functionally, it’s perfect. Function & Movement Despite being extremely solid, the bench is very easy to move. The wheels are smooth and the handle position is excellent. Once you lift it, it glides effortlessly. The "premium wheels" are that, and the small engraved logo is a nice touch! The adjustability system is top tier. The UHMW-enclosed ladder is a brilliant design — quiet, protected, and avoids the metal-on-metal clanking you get with cheaper benches. It feels premium every time you move the pad. Attachments I also bought the foot catch attachment, mainly for Nordics, and it works perfectly when turned upside down . All decline work is stable, comfortable, and the footcatch is well-built. Like most Rogue attachments, it is pricey for what it is, but the quality is undeniable. I would love to see: A removable end cap for the fpptcatch attachment receiver (since the bare opening looks a bit unfinished and inevitably gets scuffed when taking the foot catch included and out. I think its and oversight . Additional attachments in the future — a leg developer, preacher curl, or anything similar to the REP collaboration with dialed motion would be fantastic. Dialed motion lists the Manta Ray as one of the benches that will accept its leg developer , even though they are collaborating with Rep. Hopefully Rogue has seen the glamour over such a product and has it on the books. Given how high-end this bench is, it feels like a platform that deserves further expansion. Final Thoughts Overall, the Manta Ray is a true premium bench — incredibly sturdy, beautifully built, and a pleasure to use for any movement. It’s one of those upgrades that changes the entire feel of your training space. Yes, it’s expensive. Yes, it will get scuffed if you actually use it. But the performance, comfort, adjustability, and build quality justify every bit of it. I’m delighted with the purchase and would buy it again without hesitation.

Da sie sehr cool aussieht, schaut man genauer hin, liest die Details, ... und am Ende ist klar: Das Ding muss ich haben!!! Gesagt, getan - bestellt. Einige Tage später kommt das gute Stück in mehreren Kartons nach Hause. Jedes einzelne Teil ist gut verpackt und sehr gut gegen Beschädigungen geschützt. Beim Zusammenbauen stellt man fest, wie schwer und solide die Bank ist! Der Ausbau gestaltet sich sehr einfach, so dass man nach kurzer Zeit fertig ist. - ... und dann steht sie da :-) Wir hatten vorher schon eine Hantelbank, von der wir dachten, dass sie gut sei. - Beim Vergleich der Manta Ray Bank zu unserer alten Hantelbank stellt man fest, was für gravierende Unterschiede zwischen den Bänken bestehen und um viel besser die Manta Ray ist. Die Manta Ray ist super solide, sicher und einfach verstellbar, bietet viele verschiedene Trainingsmöglichkeiten, gerade wenn man auch das Fußteil besitzt. Das Polster ist sehr fest, aber trotzdem sehr angenehm, wenn man darauf trainiert. Es wackelt nichts, egal wie steil man die Lehne einstellt. Der einzige Nachteil ist, dass sie durch das hohe Gewicht nicht so einfach bewegen lässt und man schon Kraft aufwenden muss, um sie anzuheben. - Man kann dies natürlich auch gleich als Trainingseinheit mit einplanen. Wir haben es nicht bereut, so viel Geld für diese Bank ausgegeben zu haben. - Sie ist teuer, aber jeden Cent wert. Super Produkt. The Manta Ray is super solid, safe and easy to adjust and offers many different training options, especially if you also have the foot section. The padding is very firm, but still very comfortable to train on. Nothing wobbles, no matter how steeply you adjust the backrest. The only disadvantage is that the heavy weight makes it difficult to move and you have to use a lot of force to lift it. - Of course, you can also plan this as a training session. Everything is great about that bench! Although the bench is really Heavy (and stable) it is very Easy To handle.

I have purchased this bench for a small home gym with a limited space. I was looking for an option to have incline bench, without sacrificing the flat bench. The wight makes the bench is very stable and the pad feels very good and grippy, for both flat and incline exercises. The weight distribution makes the bench easy to move when lifting it by the handle, and the wheels make it easy to maneuver, even in tight spots. It's expensive, but worth the money for an all-in-one solution. The foot catch spacing is a bit large for me and with the rotating pads, it's a balancing act and it took some time for me to get used to finding a position where I feel stable. I'm giving it 4/5 because of the assembly. Has a few steps to it, but it would not be that bat if the pad was not using the 7/32 (0.219in) hex bolts, with the key not being provided. In Europe, we have metric sizing, and this size falls between 5 (0.197in) and 6 (0.256), but neither of these sizes work. I have a decent collection of tool sets, but none had a key or socket of this size. So instead of it being a quick job, it turned into a hunt for the right tool, ending in having to take a trip to a few hardware stores to finally find one where I was able to buy the key in correct size. To be fair to Rogue, the page does mention you need this tool, but I did not consider that it might be a size that's not standard in Europe. At this price, you could've included the 7/32 hex key and save European customers some trouble.
