Part of our custom Athlete Series, this special edition of the Cerakote Ohio Bar features exclusive colorways and graphics inspired by Rogue athlete and five-time CrossFit Games champion, Mat Fraser. The 20KG, 190,000 PSI barbell is fully machined and assembled in Columbus, Ohio and includes bronze bushings with standard Ohio Bar end caps.

The Fraser edition Ohio Bar is fully machined and assembled in Columbus, OH using US steel that strikes the perfect balance between whip for Olympic lifts and rigidity for heavy Powerlifting. The 190,000 PSI tensile strength shaft features dual knurl marks for Olympic Weightlifting (IWF) and Powerlifting (IPF), and our signature Ohio knurling pattern that is carefully refined for a solid yet non-abrasive grip suitable for multi-purpose strength training.

LOW PROFILE SLEEVE DESIGN
Our matte black sleeve option uses a new, low profile, sleeve design that makes loading and unloading plates easier than ever. The precision-machined sleeve is then treated with our proprietary matte black process, significantly enhancing its resistance to corrosion and impact. This treatment ensures that the sleeves retain their appearance for a much longer duration compared to traditional sleeve finishes.
2X QUIETER PERFORMANCE
Using precision machining, we are able to tighten the fit of the sleeve on the shaft which means a smoother spin, a more connected feeling while lifting and significant noise reduction.
How It's Made
FRICTION WELDING
The collars of the sleeves are friction welded, creating the strongest sleeves in the industry. This bond is as strong as if machined from a single piece of steel, while saving on waste and cost.
Rogue Work Hardening
Our patented, proprietary process more than doubles the durability and lifespan of the barbell shaft compared to our competitors.
Cerakote Shaft Finish
Cerakote delivers outstanding corrosion resistance over time—100X that of standard black zinc—while also providing many color options. This polymer-ceramic composite coating was first popularized in the firearm industry for its unique durability in thin applications.
Proprietary Sleeve Finish
Our matte black sleeve option involves a new process that effectively transforms the surface of the steel rather than coating it. This transformation significantly enhances the sleeves’ corrosion resistance, impact resistance, and abrasion resistance.
State-of-the-art Gauging
We use gauging normally employed in the aerospace industry to ensure that every bar that makes it to a customer is exactly as designed.

The F Scale™ is a durability scale for barbells based on functional testing at stresses similar to what barbells experience when being dropped from overhead. F SCALE™ APPLICATION
How a barbell is used will affect its durable lifespan and it's a key factor in determining what type of F Rating™ might be suitable for your gym's needs. This graph correlates the F Rating™ of a barbell with different types of usage in order to predict the durable lifespan. Using this data, we are able to make recommendations on what F Rating™ is appropriate for different training situations. With a rating of F8-R, the Ohio Bar is rated to last 16 years in a high volume CrossFit gym and will outlast a lifetime of lifting in an Olympic Weightlifting gym, a home gym or a Powerlifting gym.

Our barbells are tested by a third-party to determine their F-Rating, or fatigue resistance, which is a measured representation of the durability of the barbell.

WHAT IS ROGUE WORK HARDENING?
Rogue Work Hardening (RWH) is our patented process for treating the shafts of our barbells to improve their durability.
BARBELL WEIGHT
20KG is the standard for most Powerlifting Federations, Men's Olympic Weightlifting and Men's CrossFit competitions.
BARBELL WHIP
The amount of springback provided by the bar that can be used by the lifter to increase the weight they can lift in dynamic movements.
BARBELL DIAMETER
The 28.5mm diameter falls directly between the 28mm Olympic and 29mm Powerlifting standard diameters.

TENSILE STRENGTH
Expressed in PSI, tensile strength measures the maximum weight a barbell can support before deforming. The 190K tensile strength falls within the optimal range of not bending under normal use, yet not been inflated to the point that it will shorten the life of the bar.
BARBELL KNURLING EXPLAINED
Our signature knurl, designed for multi-purpose use, provides a firm grip without being abrasive. This falls in the middle of the road on the knurl scale, striking a balance without being overly aggressive or passive.

Cerakote Finish + Exclusive Athlete Design
Cerakote has been a game changer in the industry; a polymer-ceramic composite coating first popularized in the gun industry for its durability in thin applications. Offering wear and corrosion resistance up to 100X that of black zinc, it’s a finish worthy of the greatest athletes in the world. The versatility of this finish also enables us to create a wider array of customized Rogue Athlete designs for our flagship Ohio Bar, including the red-and-black finish and slogan graphics of the Fraser Edition.
Acciaio
The steel in our Cerakote Ohio Bars is manufactured in the US and has proven to be one of the best steel variants for a multi-purpose barbell. Each barbell shaft is ground and polished prior to machining, further ensuring a smooth finish and optimal performance.
Machining and Assembly
Every bar shaft is machined in Columbus, Ohio, with painstaking attention to detail. The knurling has been carefully refined over the years, as well, for a firm but non-abrasive grip (there is no center knurl). We assemble the Ohio Bar with a snap ring design and quality bronze bushings, which act as bearing surfaces between the bar sleeve and bar shaft, producing enough spin for Oly weightlifting, but with enough control for powerlifting.
