THE BREATH BELT is a patented diaphragmatic breath training and hip extension tool that activates the gluteal muscles by keeping the abdominals turned on through dynamic movement. It can be an effective device for helping an athlete or coach make the direct link between diaphragmatic breathing (aka “belly breathing”) and an optimal glute firing pattern.

Developed by former pro football player Jesse Ohliger and used by numerous college and pro organizations, this one-size-fits-all accessory comes with 10 built-in stabilizing supports and internal sleeves, with a secure, double-belt closure for customizable active compression. By providing nonstop, tactile diaphragmatic breath cues as the athlete trains, the Breath Belt helps reduce fascial restriction of the abdominal muscles, which then allows the psoas and quadratus lumborum muscles in the back to function with less restriction, alleviating back pain over time.
