Rogue Froning Barbells

Partnering with four-time CrossFit® Games champion Rich Froning, Jr., Rogue has developed an exclusive line of weightlifting bars designed to meet the strict demands of the “Fittest Man on Earth.” The Froning Series includes a first-class 28mm Olympic bearing bar and a dual knurl 28.5mm bushing bar—each fully machined and assembled in the USA. Also available are original Froning R* t-shirts featuring the end-cap designs from the barbells themselves. Take a look at the Froning Series gear below.

28MM Froning Olympic WL Bar

The signature Olympic weightlifting bar of the Rich Froning Line. Like the standard Rogue Olympic WL Bar, this is a 28mm bearing bar built from quality U.S. steel with a minimum tensile strength of 190 KSI. The key difference is a uniform black zinc finish on both the shaft and sleeves, creating a distinct, dynamic look. Each bar is individually straightened to within 0.015” (0.38mm) and fitted with a machined, stainless steel end cap. The consistent pattern of the Olympic knurl marks produces a full, reliable grip without the unwanted abrasiveness. If you want to train how a champion trains-- literally-- this is your bar.

28.5MM Froning Bushing Bar

The 28.5mm Froning Bushing Bar is a murdered out, all black-zinc finished barbell. Along with dual knurl marks, the bar's bronze bushings and 190 KSI steel give it a combination of whip and rigidity well suited to both Olympic and powerlifting at the highest levels.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from upset I bought the 28.5 bar and out of the box one of the sleeves didn't spin as well as the other side. it would catch and be difficult to spin. I had to order the 3:1 lubricant they recommended so hopefully that works. you would think that spending $300 on a bar it would have come in perfect working order.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Look and feel. After using the normal 28MM Oly bar a few times i was hooked. I was dead set on purchasing one until i found this.. love the black the knurling on this bar is perfection. Seems that the tighter you grip the more bite it has. Well played Rogue... #allBlackEverything

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid bar, poor zinc coating I got my Froning Olympic wl bar 7 weeks ago. It's the first bearing bar I've owned and I love the whip and it's super smooth. Very happy with the overall design. However, the black zinc coating on my bar is not very good. There are spots on the bar (that look like drips) that are brown instead of black. Also, the collars are already worn through the black from weights sliding on and off and dropping the bar. My buddy has had the Matt Chan bar for nearly a year and the black zinc is much stronger. It's seen way more abuse than mine and still looks nearly new. All that to say, the bar is great but I'd buy the rogue oly wl bar if I was to buy a bar again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect performance. Dead sexy. Got the Froning Olympic bearing bar and have been using it for 4 weeks now. It's deadly sexy for an Olympic bar in all black. Great whip, best knurl I've felt, and the bearing spin is just right (I don't like my bearing bars to spin too much. For instance without weight it'll spin maybe 5-6 times, but with plates on it seems to spin forever with a good push. Shouldn't need to spin without plates). Even though it is zinc, I've been oiling it weekly to keep it in top shape. Some serious Fromance going on here!
