We cut down the diameter of the standard Rogue LB-1 Log Bar by two inches and decreased the weight by 14LB to create this intermediate strongman training bar. The smaller size of the LB-2 8” Log Bar brings its center of gravity closer to the body when cleaning the log or rolling it into the rack position. This makes it easier to maintain control of the bar at higher weights throughout a workout.
While it’s well suited to many smaller-framed athletes—women, juniors, etc.—the LB-2 is also a useful tool for athletes rehabbing from an injury or working their way up to the LB-1. Neutral grip handles put less stress on the shoulders for all the pressing movements, and a light starting weight of 51 lbs. makes it easier to work up from. If strongman training is even somewhat important to you, this is in your arsenal.
