Rogue P-3 Pull-Up System

Manufactured in Ohio using the same 11-gauge steel as our full-scale rigs and racks, the versatile Rogue P-3 Pull-Up System is a single, compact unit designed for ceiling mounts (for a ceiling height of 8 to 9’6” feet) or wall mounts.* Once anchored securely to concrete or wood studs, the P-3 gives you the option of a bar position at either 14” or 22” from the wall/ceiling.

The complete P-3 Pull-Up System comes standard with a 52” Pull-Up Bar, and can serve as a dependable rings station, as well. If you want to expand the set-up for more athletes, you can daisy-chain additional brackets together by spacing them out 3-4 feet apart, then running a single 1” steel tube/1.25” OD pipe through all of the brackets (4 brackets, for example, would create a 12-foot pull-up bar). In most cases, this type of pipe can be purchased at your local hardware store.

*To allow for more space for kipping pull-ups, the larger P-4 Pull-Up System may work better for wall-mounting, as well as for ceiling-mounts in garage gyms with ceilings higher than 9’6”.

  • 11-Gauge Steel
  • Depth: 14" or 22" from wall/ceiling
  • Width: Can be set on 16" Stud Centers or custom width up to 48" between brackets

  • Orientation: This unit can be setup vertically or horizontally, our unique support arm will keep this rig sturdy!
  • Mounting Hardware NOT included

Recommended Setups:

  • Distance between brackets: Concrete – 36", Wood Studs – 32" or 48"

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great pull up bar! This is a great product and is easy to install. Quality materials. I am a big guy and it supports me no problem. Just make sure you use longer screws when putting it up!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great system I bought this system about a week ago and installed it today shortly after it arrived. The only gripe I have is that none of the necessary hardware was provided for the installation, nor does Rogue offer it as an accessory to purchase. I was under the impression that it would be included. After a quick trip to the hardware store, it only took me about 10-15 minutes to install the rig. I weigh 240 and I did 5x10 of weighted pull ups. Very sturdy rig, simple installation. This is the quality I've come to expect from Rogue. Look no further.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pull up bar that can handle work in small spaces Installed in my basement which has low ceilings. The P3 starts higher than a middle brace bar which allowed me to fit it in with enough room to completely clear the bar with 13" of head space. I am 5' 11" and only need to bend knees slightly to fully lock out. Already logged 500 pull ups this week and the bar died t budge. I used 4" lag screws into the wall. Not included, but rogue tells you that. I was only able to go 32" wide on studs and didn't trim the bar because I can go wide around the brackets. Made in USA only rid way rogue can. Thanks!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid. I just installed the p3 pull up system 3 days ago. So far, it is working great. I was skeptical about the durability in the studs at first. I mounted directly on the drywall into the standard studs 48" apart. The standard for studs is at a distance is 12" apart. I used a stud finder to find the each edge of the stud and put the lag screw (3/8 x 3.5") right in the middle. I weigh 236 and have already logged close to 200 pull ups since I mounted it. I'll add another review in a few months or so to give an update of how its doing. This is definitely worth it. I got tired of using the door pull up bar (p90x style) after a few years. I figured it was time for an upgrade.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid Bar, Easy To Install So this bar is exactly as described and very solid. I mounted this to my garage ceiling with no problems and it works very well. My only complaint as others have stated, and yes I realize it's disclosed in the description, is that the system does not include any lag bolts or washers to install with. If cost is an issue then I don't think anyone would complain if you raised the price $5-$10 and included the necessary hardware to install on arrival saving the customer the hassle of running down to their local hardware store. If this isn't possible it might be nice to recommend the correct size of bolts to be used on the product description where you state that the hardware isn't included so customers can pre-purchase the necessary hardware while the item is being shipped.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Sturdy 4 Stars but I have been using this system for about 6 months now. The system is rock solid. I'm 5'10 185 and it doesn't budge an inch. You can kip on it hard with no worries. I would have given it 5 stars but the pull up bar that came with it is too smooth. I notice my hands slip much more than at my gym. I need to scuff it up with sandpaper or find a better bar.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome! Great pull-up system. Received it in time to knock out Murph in my garage. I have it mounted on my ceiling and it's rock-solid. The instructions didn't say what size lag screws to use but someone at Rogue answered right away and told me what to get.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hands down best pull up bar. Get it NOW!!! Bought this along with the competition straps. All I can say is it is the best combo you will find to get the most complete bodyweight workout. I'm not repn' out sets of 10 or more like some at 315, but the ones I get are worry free. No chance of this bar falling down as long as you install it correctly. No creeks or wobbles whatsoever. If your ever in Columbus, OH stop in the new retail store. Everyone is super friendly and helpful. I chose to pick up in store driving 3hrs to get there arriving there close to closing they were able to get my stuff in less than the 4hrs they ask usually need. Kourtney was awesome for having someone make a special trip to get my order to me so I wouldn't leave empty handed for the long drive home. She saved my hide bc I made my gf come too and could only imagine what i would have to live thru for those 3hrs driving home after forcing her to go had she not made a small miracle happen. Also like to thank the staff for workin so hard to make my day. Store was great. There is a gym connected to the store where you can actually see and feel the products before you buy. Thanks again guys!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid piece of equipment. This was the best edition to my garage gym! I have it mounted to the ceiling in my 8ft garage and I can do all different types of pull-ups. This was the first piece of equipment that I purchased from Rogue they were super responsive with getting me this system. Nice job Rogue, I am impressed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from P-3 solid garage pull up choice Installed it on my 9ft plus ceiling and the 22" bar is perfect. Very solid for kipping and rings. The bar has great grip as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from P-3 The P-3 was the first thing I added to my garage gym and this is one SOLID piece of equipment. It mounts easy using the easy to follow directions and is ready to go in minutes. I have it wall mounted and at 24” away from the wall, it’s difficult to kip on. If you need more room, consider ceiling mounting this bar or buying the P-4, it is 32” away from the wall. Either way, this is a great pull-up bar at a great price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for ceiling mount Mounted to my 9' ceiling in my garage using the recommended hardware. Very solid for my wife and I. Kids love it too! Great buy. Would like to add another bracket to extend it further.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from SOLID, QUALITY I LOVE this bar and make it a point to do 10 pull ups every time I walk into my garage throughout the day. I installed it against the wall, which makes kipping a bit of a challenge, otherwise, it's perfect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Once installed this thing is SOLID! Have ab straps connected, and some pull-up Bombs. Still with plenty of room to workout. Because of where I had to install it I couldn't get the full usage of the bar... but regardless with everything on it at once there is still plenty of room to lift. A MUST HAVE!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good timing Got these last night, installed tonight in time for 100 L Pull-ups!!! These brackets work nice. Now, I need to get a Rogue squat rack.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Solid but no butterfly The pull up contraption is very solid on the wall but, I cannot do butterfly pull ups on it. When I kip my feet occasionally hit the wall. I think this is a design flaw and should have (at least) been included in the discription.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Review of P-3 This addition to my garage gym was the best improvement thus far. I have used the full gambit of pull up systems ranging from the Door gym leading up to Rogue's P-3. I have also used Easy Effort's ceiling mounted bars. I considered the Stud Bar but have odd mounting joists in my garage. The P-3 mounted to my oddly spaced joists with no problem in about 15 minutes. The construction is solid and American made... thanks Bill for making such a great product. The pipe for the actual bar is the perfect diameter (Easy effort's bars are much smaller in diameter and tend to cause more hand tears (the bars are foam cushioned, which eventually wears/tears off) especially during high volume pull up WOD's. I wish I had purchased the P-3 as my first system.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid and Awesome I mounted the P-3 in my garage, from the ceiling, and I couldn't be happier. This is a serious piece of equipment that will make you wonder why you ever used a doorway pull up bar.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Solid pullup bar Solid when installed. However, it is too shallow for kipping if you install against a wall. I've had no problems doing weighted pullups, but I recommend installing from the ceiling with appropriate depth if you want to kip. I think you should include this advice in the description.
