The S-Series squat stand is the new standard.
We went back to the drawing board and completely redesigned our S-Series line based on the features from the Rogue Infinity series. We cut out all the moving parts and trinkets that can wear out. Westside hole spacing and UHMW J-cups come standard. We have designed a full line of accessories around the S-Series line of squat stands.
Built for everything from squats, bench, clean pulls, floor press,overhead press and much much more!

Very solid piece of equipment. A little bit of shaking when loaded up for heavy squats, but not a scary amount. And that's only because there's no crossmember at the top.
The J-hooks are great. I only wish that they were designed like the sandwich J-hooks for the Monster series. Still, they're better than the all-metal J-hooks on my old power rack.
I also got the safety spotters for bench presses, and they're awesome. They should drill an extra hole in the bottom for that orange pin, but it's not really a big deal.
Westside spacing is brilliant. No more putting shims under my bench in order to get the spotter arms at the right height for solo bench pressing!
Overall, it's a great piece of equipment that I can see myself using for the next few decades. Every garage needs a rack, and you really can't do better for the money than the S-1.good stuff BUT!!!

Space is limited in my garage (as well as my budget) so I knew I would need a squat stand and this fit the bill. The website was easy to use, tracking information was promptly provided, and in less than five days I had my equipment in hand. Right out of the box it was obvious that this is a solid piece of gear, and after assembly (which took less than 15 minutes, mainly spent opening boxes) I have complete confidence in the S-1 handling everything I throw at it. The Westside Barbell spacing is perfect for bench press, the j-cups are easy to move, and overall the stand just looks bad ass. To echo previous reviews, the rack is very, very solid. I am fully confident it will be able to safely handle the 500-700 lb squats I plan use it for. It arrived quickly, was easy to put together, and is so solid that I think it will outlast my house. I'm using this with the Rogue bar. Definitely get the safety spotter arms (wouldn't lift alone without them) and you'll be good to go. Suggestions for improvements:
- A plastic strip on the top surface of the safety arms to protect the knurling would be nice.
- The 1-inch hole pattern should extend further down the uprights to allow more flexibility of placing the safety arms. The 1-inch zone ("westside hole pattern") currently is only for the j-cups in the bench zone. But I'm a raw bencher, I don't need exact jcup placement at the top (lockout), that part's easy. I need exact safety placement at the bottom when I bench alone.Awesome... it is that ONE piece of equipment that everyone should have!

The assembly instructions are mediocre; but it is not difficult to figure out (I did have to look at the website to see how certain pieces were positioned). Overall, it is extremely solid. It just has a very beefy feel to it. I like the way the holes are spaced. However, I feel that there should be some type of markings near the holes (I had to make pencil marks-not the end of the world… But when you're switching between benching, pressing, etc., It's nice to not have to count 16 holes down from the top). I also think it is weird that the top of the vertical supports are open holes. Charge me the extra three dollars and just send the plastic plugs for them. And one other minor criticism: the safety support bars should be lined with the same plastic that the hooks are lined with. The website specifically states something to the effect of: "these j-cups are lined to to protect your Olympic bar," but the first thing you do is put your bar on the safety supports when you are moving the j-cups. I knew I had made the right choice when I started moving the UPS boxes into the garage; this is made to handle serious weight! Something else that impressed me was the ease of assembly: just one page and only took a few minutes.
