Rogue S-2 Squat Stand

With 2x3” 11-gauge steel uprights, an adjustable fat/skinny pull-up bar, and a wide range of compatible accessories, the Rogue S-2 Squat Stand is more power rack than squat rack.

Built in Columbus, Ohio, the S-2 includes key innovations from the Rogue Infinity Series, including a unique upright/socket design, Westside hole spacing, 5/8” bolts and fasteners, and J-cups with protective UHMW plastic liners. It's a squat stand well suited to small home gyms and large-scale weight training facilities, with easy transitions from squats to bench, floor press to pull-ups, and anything in-between.

The S-2 Squat Stand’s 92” height gives you ample space for pull-ups under an 8-foot ceiling, while a compact 48x48” footprint leaves plenty of room for additions and customization. Compatible 2x3" accessories include Safety Spotter Arms , Rogue Landmines , and the Rogue Matador .

The Rogue S-2 Squat Stand and Bench ships with (1) S-2 Squat Stand and (1) Flat Utility Bench .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality at its finest! I just got this stand a few days ago and I can tell you already that I am extremely happy with my purchase. I was amazed at the quality put into this product right out of the box. I am limited on space and this is the finishing touch on my garage gym. My fitness will be taken to the next level thanks to this beast!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Could not be happier This is a great piece of equipment. I have mine stored in the garage and the fit is perfect. I want to add some storage for my plates later on but for now it's great. I would highly recommend this to anyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is great! This is a great quality home gym set-up at a really good price. It was easy to assemble and it's very sturdy. Mine is outfitted like a mini-crossfit gym in the basement, complete with bands and rings. If you want to kip or do ring work, choose to either bolt it into the floor or store your plates on the rig itself. I have over 200lb of plates stored on mine and that makes it really stable for ring-rows, dips and kipping. I weigh 130 lb so it's enough stability for me, but if you are a big guy weighing in over 180lb, definitely bolt this to the floor if you plan on doing any gymnastics type exercises off the bars.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Piece of Equipment I use this stand for my outdoor gym in my backyard. I have the single pull-up bar set to the highest setting and no accessories on it such as spotter arms or plate storage. Here's the best info I can give after a few months of ownership/use. The single pull-up bar is perfect for anyone 6' or under. I would not order the fat/skinny unless you are short. The stand would work best bolted down, but can handle kipping pull-ups without any weight on it. To do C2B or T2B in a wod you need to weight it down at least. The plate storage options would work but you need at least 50# on all 4 sides. I am currently using 4x80# bags of concrete, and I can do bar muscle-ups on it. Overall, I love it for the price. It was easy to put together by myself and I am sure it will last at least 10 years even outdoors.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for basement gym I made a platform with layer of plywood and one layer of rubber to use as basement gym. Used chop saw to cut about 3 inches off the top of this thing now its the perfect basement rack. Had to sell my old R-3 though. Would recommend

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Accept no substitutes Simply the best squat pull-up combo rack. I was using another reputable CrossFit retailers brand before this and while that made in China rack did the job, it can't hold a candle to the quality of the S-2. Even with that rack's extended footprint, the 4'x4' footprint of the s-2 is more stable and doesn't rock much. I have no problems doing butterfly pull-ups on this rack without weight on it. Everything about the fit and finish is light years past the previous rack I had and most racks that I've come across. If you're looking for an excellent centerpiece to your home gym, spend the extra bit and accept no substitutes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for your garage! Purchased the S-2 for my single car garage after getting tired of driving 15 min. each way to workout at a subpar gym. Haven't looked back since. Had to do some pretty intense measuring, remeasuring and analyzing to ensure it fit well and could still do pullups on the pullup bar. In the end it worked out. I bought the wheels because as you can see from my photos, it gets wheeled back and forth so we can still the garage to park our cars. My garage ceiling height is 8'0 so I've got about 4-6" to spare between the top of the S-2 and my ceiling. So I can't tip it over completely to wheel it around, but can at least lean it over and with some climbing rope attached to the floor members, maneuver just fine. Other than the fit in my garage, it's a beast. Real solid and built very well. Would def recommend.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quality material, fit and finish. Easy to assemble Spent a week doing my research before deciding to get the s-2. I'm living in an apartment and space is an issue so I went with the half-rack. It's more than double the price of dicks sporting goods' half rack which I was also considering. The 1 inch spacing and easy of assemble tilt me over to rogue's. Overall it met my expectation given the price. The only con is that if you were to get both the storage pin and the spotter arms, you can't have the pins positioned towards the base of the stand (which is the ideal position). Made in USA quality, nuff said.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from High Quality I never leave reviews but for this amazing S2 rack I feel obligated. Set up was a breeze, just need a 15/16" wrench and socket. When I set this up I was really taken aback on how well this is designed an built (its like a tank). I bought 2 single plate storage system's with 260 lbs Hi-Temp bumpers and Rogue Bar. I weigh 150lbs, 5 foot 8 inches height. Single skinny bar is perfect, I can do kipping pull ups, toes to bar, ring dips and even bar MU and this thing barely moves if at all. I am so pleased with this purchase and recommend it to anyone looking for an economical quality gym with limited space.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works Fine My review is pretty much the same as the one I just read. It is a nice set up. It is not perfect but it works just fine. For Kipping, butterfly PUs is is stable enough without added weight to hold it down. T2B get the thing rocking and rolling pretty good. Get the single bar. If you are patient, have them make you a bare steel single bar. I wasn't, so I have the normal finish. I put mine together alone in a few minutes-having air tools available is pretty nice. My only complaint is about the J-Cups and the knurl-killing metal ends. The Rogue seems to have addressed the issue with their Monster Sandwich J-Cups. Hopefully they will fix the issue with the 2X3 J-Cups. I cut out cardboard and taped it onto the ends to protect from the errant re-rack. I got the spotter arms for solo bench press. I rarely bench press so they just sit there, out of the way. No need for the arms for squats. Ultimately, If you have the space and don't foresee needing to move the thing, get a power rack.simply because it will be more solid. .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great stand for a garage gym Just got the S2 with single skinny bar, and could not be happier with it. It took about 40 minutes to put together, and I was then able to start a squat WOD. Fits nicely in a two car garage, and I bought the base plat holders as well which keep some of the clutter down. Only thing I would say is that if you want to do kipping toes to bar, you should get the mounting feet. I am able to do kipping pull-ups just fine, but the toes to bar makes the base pop off the ground, even with weight on it. Otherwise its just a great piece of equipment that I have no doubt will be around for my sons to use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from S2, You Are A Beast! I love my S2 Stand. This piece is a workhorse and handles everything I dish at it. Pullups, check. Kipping, check. Toe 2 Bar, check. Ring dips, check. Go ahead, lay some heavy on the J-cups...won't budge. Now that I got my love fest out of the way, here is what you need to know. Hardware is 5/8". You'll need a 15/16 socket wrench to get those nuts/bolts tight. Fat/Skinny bar is 80" off ground. I am 5'11, 206 lb with an 87-88" reach. Fat/skinny not happening. I went with the single bar and it is 88" off ground. Plenty of room for me, meaning my feet don't touch dirt. If you are going to kip, put some weight plates on it and you will have barely a shake. This is a must buy if you have a small window of space. You will not be disappointed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Customer service is awesome!! I recently posted a review of the S2 squat stand stating that it arrived in poor condition, which is true. I sent an email to customer service late Friday night and I had a reply waiting for me when I woke up Saturday morning. Josh at customer service was great and he definitely cares about the product and worked with me to find a solution I'm definitely happy with. I would not hesitate to order from Rogue again. The reason I still only gave the product 4 stars is because the finish was damaged during shipping which causes me to question the quality of the finish in the long term.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not impressed We'll I just received my S2 Squat Stand tonight, not impressed. Yes it feels more stable than a Weider pull-up / dip station I had a few years ago but not much. It was horribly packaged and came to me very damaged. The only reason I'm not sending it back is because the damage is cosmetic. But the equipment looks "used" and large portions of the finish have been scraped off. This doesn't give me much confidence in longevity of the finish. All that plus the packaging was short two nuts, so I had to go to the hardware store and find some to fit. If I had purchased this locally I absolutely would have returned it, but I live way out in the country and it would be a huge pain to package it back then return. I'm going to have to "patch" the finish though. I'll probably use a spray on bed liner. Just so everyone knows though I have not yet contacted rogue to tell them because it's late and they're not open. Hopefully their customer service will be accommodating. I'll update my review after speaking with them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid as a tank Amazing build and ease of use. Put it together by myself in no more than 10-15 minutes with just a 15/16" wrench and socket. VERY stable on it's own. Ran through a few sets of kipping pullups and knees to elbows with very little to no movement at all. I paired this with the squat stand base storage and after putting 260 lbs of bumpers on it, it might as well be secured to the concrete. Went with the single pullup bar which is perfect in my 8'-9' tall basement. Plan on moving it to the garage (with a 11' ceiling) in the warmer months for more clearance. Worth every penny!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is the REAL DEAL type equipment I only write positive reviews, and I rarely write them, but this product deserves one. I ordered on Thursday and received a call Monday from UPS asking when to deliver. Can you say fast?! There was some confusion with the email, but a quick phone call to customer service easily took care that. This product has three steps for assembly. I thought some of the instructions were missing, but that's all it took, three steps! I ordered six 45lb plates and set it up at the front door of the house. Let me tell you... As the fellas began to show up for Sunday football, everyone just had to get one rep in! LOL! It makes you do that! But yes, this is the real deal sturdy equipment. I've been working out for 24 years, and finally, no more gym memberships!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Must Have For Your Garage Gym! I've had my S2 squat rack for a year it's a solid piece of equipment and a must have for any garage gym!!! I wanted some thing that didn't leave a big foot print and could be portable, that's why I didn't go for the W-4 unit. I don't have it bolted down but kipping pull ups and toes to bars are not a problem just load a couple of bumper plates on the base and your good to go. I chose to go for the single bar instead of the fat/skinny bar added the Rogue wood rings and now I have a place to do ring dips. The S2 is a beast I recommend it to everyone you won't be disappointed

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It is Beast! I bought this with the single bar. I'm 5' 9" 180lbs and have a 95" garage ceiling- with the bar aligned at the third hole down, I can completely clear my head over the bar during pull-ups and hang under the bar without my feet touching the ground. Spotter arms are a must for alone work. This thing doesn't budge at all on pull-ups, squat, or bench. I have put 275 lbs on it, and me with a 75 lb vest. It is solid. I only get shake with the matador dip attachment. Could be technique, but it does a little rattle. The single piece bench is great. The rack went together easy enough, I put it together myself with a couple of $3 15/16 wrenches. This thing is built like a tank. Im very impressed, and pleased with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid piece of equipment I got the S-2 for my garage gym about a year ago this thing is sick rock solid. I've racked over 300lbs on it with no issues. The only thing I would suggest is going with the single bar for your pull ups especially if your over 5'7. Kipling is no problem as long as you load the bottom with some weight on both sides with the vertical plate storage on it. It shakes a little bit when you put the matador on it for dips. Assembly is extremely easy and I'm horrible at putting things together.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rock Solid My wife and I dropped our gym memberships to stay home with our 4 monnth old as much as possible and decided the S2 would be the best place to start our home gym. We're not crossfitters (yet). We use this stand mostly for strength training (squats, bench, pull ups, etc). We've enjoyed it for just about a month now and we couldn't be happier with a piece of fitness equipment. The stand was surprisingly easy to assemble and within 2 hours of delivery (had to run to Home Depot for a big enough socket) we were doing squats and pull ups. The stand is incredibly solid, well designed, and well made. The quality of this stand is unquestionable. Before purchasing, Rogue's support was awesome and extermely prompt in addressing my questions. Ordering was a breeze. And shipping was much faster than I imagined. All in all this has been a great experience with a great product. We're Rogue customers for life.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent squat rack After a ton of research, I pulled the trigger on the S2. I wanted something to practice kipping PU's and lifts when I'm not at the box. Also, this is going outside as I live in a city and don't have a garage. Rogue was very responsive to my questions, and a mere 2 days after I ordered, it arrived. Felt a little bad for the UPS guy offloading the boxes. Put it together very easy by myself and a 15/16" wrench. Waiting on the rest of my bumpers to arrive, but can easily kip w/only 90lbs on the vertical plate storage (1 bar each side).Went w/the skinny bar. I'm 6' 190lb and its just tall enough. Excellent product so far, will update as I go thru the seasons with it outside and how it holds up. Very impressed with Rogues customer service too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No need to worry Everyone allows asks if the unit is solid or if it shakes? I have never felt the need to weigh the unit down or bolt it down. I love my unit, and when combined with a pair of spotter arms- I can train hard, alone, and with no complaint!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This thing is AMAZING! When you open this rack you'll see why people are so crazy about them. Mine just came last week and I've gotten obsessed with using it everyday. My advice would be to opt for the single 1.25" bar. I regret choosing the Fat/Skinny bar because I don't like that fat side and it lowers the bar that you actually use. And it's pretty difficult to kip without having it anchored down but thats not a big deal. I still give this thing 5 stars because it's the greatest piece of machinery I've ever owned!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from typical Rogue high-quality We've had this rack outside in the garage for over two years. It's a beast, and holds up to all the abuse. The bench spacing is perfect for getting your setup dialed in. It feels very solid, even when racking big squats. I'm 200# and have no problem with strict pullups. I've even added some loops on the feet that I use as band attachments for Conjugate/Westside variations. (I don't know if this is outside Rogue's recommendations, but it's working perfectly for me, even with thick bands.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exceptional Quality and Service Purchased the S-2 for space and hight limitation in my garage and to help my youngest develope for football. It has been great working out with him and is quickly being something that helps me connect with my teenager. Oldest son has the S-3 and loved it and recommended Rogue. Purchased the floor mounting kit when I purchased the stand but have not installed yet. Recently added weight storage which when loaded with weight really stabolized to rack to the point that I don't think that I will need to anchor the rack to the floor. I purchased the bolt on weight storage and the spotters work well with the attachment even very low. My youngest and I are using the heck out of this piece of equipment and it is rock solid. One issue occured with a wrong bolt length and Rogue had the correct bolts in the mail that day no questions asked. Things can occationally happen. How you respond wins or loses your customer. I am completely impressed with the quality and the service provided by Rogue. They now have multiple customers for life. Thanks Rogue!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Don't waste time researching others This review likely not for the average visitor to Rogue's website. No powerlifting or crossfit workouts here. Simply a dad and his son equipping the garage gym. I spent way too much time researching stands vs. racks and then manufacturers. The S-2 fit on paper the specs for what we needed. Ability to handle moderate weights for 3 or our 4 major lifts (squat, bench and press). Ultimately chose the S-2, though I do think for our purposes the S-1 would have worked. I know now that simply from an engineering standpoint the attaching of the pull-up bar makes the unit even more stable. Without a doubt it will handle any weight we will throw at it. Not the cheapest out there but without hesitation I can say I do not regret the purchase. No need for customer service interaction as ordering was simple and shipping was surprisingly fast. Looking forward to purchasing accessories.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well pleased... I've been using the S-2 squat stand since August 2012, and it has exceeded my expectations. I wanted a squat rack with chin-up capabilities to complement my home gym. I built a Oly platform and placed between the floor posts, 42'' wide is a perfect distance. I'm 5'10", and I am fully suspended with doing chin-ups. Easy to assemble, takes about 30-minutes with non-power tools. I would purchase again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No regrets Just want to share my opinion. I have the S-2 rack, spotter arms, a Rogue Bar and set of bumper plates, and the dry erase channel (for fun). I am blown away by every piece of equipment i have purchased from Rogue. If you are reading this, and on the fence about spending the money, dont think twice. You will not regret your purchase. I am 100% satisfied with my gear!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Like a ROCK!!! I never leave product reviews. Until now. I've been needing a squat rack for years and I just moved into a place with enough space for a good garage gym set up. My program is primarily powerlifting with some Crossfit workouts for conditioning. At 190lb BW, I still rank as a novice in the powerlifting game (430BS/475DL/325PB/210SP) but would like to see these numbers go up quite a bit. I needed an affordable but sturdy squat rack that I could count on for life. After doing some research I settled on the S-2 due to the inclusion of the chin up bar (I opted for the single bar since I wanted it as high as possible) and the 1,000lb tested strength . The S-2 took about 20 minutes to set up and I was stunned with the solidness of this piece of equipment. I currently don't anchor the S-2 at all and I can perform K2Es, kipping pullups, etc with little to no rack movement. It also feels VERY solid even under heavy weights. It handles 350lb squats easily with no movement (tipping, swaying, rocking etc) at all. I don't feel like I have to 'baby' this rack. It can take whatever I dish out. I haven't loaded it up for heavy squats (400lb+) yet, but there is no doubt in my mind that it will still feel solid during 500-600lb squats. I will never outgrow this rack! Thank you Rogue for a great piece of equipment! Customer for life!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rogue= Quality I just put this together last night, it was easy to put together and I mean that because I'm not good at building anything. The structural integrity of the S2 is above all else. If you want a quality American made equipment go Rogue!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid as a rock I got this today, cut it down to size with a hacksaw and a grinder (it is 2" too big for my basement, and I knew that going in). I put it together in about a 1/2 an hour. This thing is solid, the fat PU bar is FAT!, I got the Safety Spotter arms, which are heavy and well built. This rack is perfect (I was also looking at a powertec half rack, the S2 is FAR superior). The few cons: I was looking at the vertical plate storage, and I don't know if they will fit below the spotter arms (I'm short). And there are no numbers on the holes for the j-cups. That's it, and they are both minor complaints. Assembly tip- don't tighten all the bolts until it is all together, so that the stand can conform to your uneven floor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from WOW! Total Satisfaction! I cannot describe how happy I am with my purchase of the Rogue Squat Stand! As soon as I opened the boxes, I knew I had invested in pure quality. Setup was a piece of cake, and I was extremely impressed with the stability and solidness of the stand. If you cannot afford or fit a full Rack in your home gym, do not hesitate to invest in S-2 stand! Everything Rogue sells is made here in the USA, and no matter what you buy from them; you will not regret it for a moment! I am 6ft -1, and I had absolutely no issues doing pullups on the stand. I absolutely love the fat grip bar!! I love how versatile this thing is!! My friend did 600lb squats on it, and it was just begging for more. I also had a few questions, and I honestly have to say Rogue's customer service is nothing less than exellent! I am now waiting for delivery of the vertical plate storage and matador, which I highly recommend!! I am so happy! Keep it up Rogue!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect I ordered the stand with the single pull up bar, the bench and safety arms. Went together very easily. Great quality, and a huge improvement over the one it replaced. The single pullup bar allows you to place the bar at a height that is perfect for you. The whole thing is built to last forever. I love the solid feel of the bench. Delivery was so fast I had to scramble to get the old equipment out of my house to make room. I'm a fairly new Rogue customer, but I'm here to stay. Awesome all around.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for my garage gym I bought my S-2 6 months ago for my garage gym. Before my purchase I was trying to decide between the stand or a rack. I decided to go with a stand to save space hoping I wouldn't regret not having a full stand. After 6 months I'm 100% happy with the stand. The quality is top notch, assembly was easy and the shipping was quick. I bought the spotter arms and matador to go along with it and everything functions perfectly. After shopping around and reading review after review, nothing compares to Rogue's prices and quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent! I recently built a small shed gym in my backyard and this is the stand I put in. Very well made, easy to put together when it arrives, and the anchor system worked really well to bolt the rake to the floor. I lift on this 2-4 days a week and it just feels solid. I look forward to getting a set of safety spotter arms so I can push myself a bit more without a lifting partner.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth the money and more I bought this recently as the centerpeice to my garage gym and am already impressed by the quality. I'm currently using it without the floor mount kit (its still sitting in the box next to it) and it is pretty stable. However, the stand is a little "loose" without it. Easy to do a full workout on it. I got the matador and safety arm attachments and would highly recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from SOLID! This is everything I could ask for in a garage gym squat rack. Perfect for squats, bench press, pull-ups etc. I got the double fat and regular pullup bar but I think i'll order the single soon for bar muscle ups. Also I'm 6'1" and I can't kip since the double bar hangs too low. Great product though...no complaints.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Affordable, Versatile, Awesome I had trouble fitting a few of the pieces together. Rogue sent me new uprights and got it to fit. Once assembled, I couldn't be more happy with this. It's the center piece of my garage crossfit gym. Great, sturdy build. If you're kipping or doing ring rows, you may want to consider anchoring it down. Not critical, but would help.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Squat Stand! The rack was sipped quickly and all pieces arrived in perfect condition. Assembly could not have been easier. The stand is beautifully built! I am 5.11 and with the singly skinny bar I can easily do kipping pullups without my feet hitting the ground. If you store your bumpers on the rack it will stay put while doing pullups without having to bolt to the concrete. All the Rogue gear I have purchased over recent months has exceeded expectations. Rogue is not always the cheapest, but consistently provides the best value. Thanks Rogue!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from S2 is Perfect I replaced my old rack with an S2 mainly for the height of the single bar style pull up bar. I'm 5'11" and kipping pull ups can be performed without my feet hitting the ground. Also installed mounting feet on all four corners for stability and the S2 is very sturdy. Thanks Rogue!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great piece of Equipment The S2 rack has been a perfect addition to my garage gym. It is multi-purpose and completely sturdy when lifting or doing pull-ups. I added a second set of J-Cups up high to store an extra bar when not in use. Rogue Fitness equipment is second to none and their customer service is outstanding. I highly recommend Rogue Fitness for any fitness needs. RC

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality, versatile, affordable. I bought one to put in my bedroom (yes). I don't have a garage and affiliates want too much money. Everything came arrived nicely packaged. I put it together in probably 20 minutes. The powder coat is awesome. It's rock solid and there's a lot of potential with all the attachments. Rogue doesn't disappoint, and their customer service is awesome.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Rack I've purchasd a number of products from Rogue and have never been disappointed. When it came to a rack/squat stand I researched other options. Without a doubt, this was the best product available for the money. Extremely well built with great design. Very easy to assemble. I feel great about my decision knowing I'll have this for years to come.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great piece of Gear Amazing piece of equipment! Every time I use it the more I like it. The only thing to keep in mind is that if you want to do KIPPING pull-ups you will need the floor mounting feet. No issues with dead hang pull-ups.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from S2 Debated between the R3 and S2/3 for MONTHS. Limited space and funds made me choose the S2 but I was worried the pull-up bar would not be very functional due to how upright the S2 is. NO WORRIES ANYMORE. This thing is a freaking rock and the versatility is exactly what I was looking for. My garage gym is OFFICIAL now, thank you Rogue for all you do. Gained more space in my garage AND added another pull-up/ring station.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! I couldn't believe how well everything fit together. I didn't have to force a single piece. I got the Stand with the Matador, Fat/skinny pull-up bar, flat bench, and mounting kit. After putting it together and mounting it, this thing is virtually bomb proof. The J-hooks fit so well, and the 'padding; on them protects the bar. The matador is a great piece and the fat pull-up bar is great for the grip. The bench is very sturdy. I couldn't ask for more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Rack and Bench The rack is a solid piece of equipment. It arrived in pieces, and assembly is straight forward. The 5/8" bolts need 15/16" wrenches or adjustable pliers so plan accordingly. The rack could probably withstand getting hit by a car and not take any damage, but I'm not willing to test that out. The fat bar on the fat/skinny bar attachment is really fat. I can't get my thumbs around it, but it works if I use a false grip. That's tougher anyways. The J-hooks are probably among the best I've used to date. They have enough padding so they won't wear your bar down, but they still hold the bar strongly. The hooks are also not too deep. You can rip the bar off the hooks when you are benching, which really helps when you don't have a spotter for a proper hand-off. The bench is fantastic. It's nice and wide, providing great support for your shoulders. I understand it is competition height, so it's a great option for training for power lifting meets. Apparently the benches at the commercial gyms I've gone to are a bit lower than this, so it took a couple sessions to get used to it. Despite that, I've never felt more stable under the bar than when I'm on this bench.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely Solid This stand fit together perfectly, I mean, every bolt slid in with ease. No shimming, no re-drilling, no pull here, press here in order to shove a bolt through. I bought the Dirty South substitute bar and I didn't need to drill extra holes as the description says I would need to. It's not cheap, but it's made in America, and I voted with my hard earned money to support products made in USA. I don't ever see myself wearing out this stand. Built to last a lifetime.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Centerpiece of my Garage Gym The S-2 is perfect for my garage gym setup! I got the fat/skinny pullup bar, spotter arms, and vertical plate attachments, along with the Matador. With this setup, I can do every strength exercise in my S&C program. The build quality is second to none, and that's coming from a 340lb (but not for long) guy doing pullups and dips on this rig!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing I was a bit hesitant to spend this much on a squat stand, but after receiving it and seeing the quality I am more than pleased. This is a piece that will last forever. Amazing quality, simple to put together. The bench is great as well. I would recommend getting the mounting kit with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from garage gym must have As we all know by now, you can't go wrong with Rogue. I've had my rack for a week now and am loving every minute of it. Put a pair of mounting feet down with a couple concrete anchors. The thing doesn't budge so its great for kipping. This is the rack you want !

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great piece of gear! Order the S2 and had it delivered in less than 5 business days. Bought in conjunction with a bar/bumper package, and so far couldn't be happier. Easy to assemble by yourself, had it together in 20 minutes. The only piece of info that would have been helpful in the instruction was that you needed a 15/16" socket and/or wrench. Other than that looking forward to a lifetime of use!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid rack Very impressed with this rack. Goes together very quickly if you read the instructions properly (which I didn't haha). Accidentally put the base together backwards but it doesn't look like it makes much difference.Fat bar feels amazing on the hands and it does not swing at all while doing regular pull ups or chins. Can be a bit of a pain lining up the J-hooks properly but you will know right away if they aren't set properly. Ordered with the flat bench which is also unbelievably solid. Altogether it came in 8 boxes, none of which were extremely heavy. Just need to get some 3/4 inch rubber matting to put under it and then I will really start putting it to the test.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Choice I've worked with Rogue equipment at various boxes, but owning my own S2 stand revealed the quality that you don't appreciate during a WOD. The unit went together with no issues. The construction is top quality from the heavy steel down to the bolts! You definitely get what you pay for. Compared to some of the choices I've considered from Sports Authority and other outlets, I'm happy I decided on the Rogue setup. Pair it with a pull-up bar, spotter arms, wheels, and some storage pins and you have a nice neat mobile garage or outdoor option to tackle any workout.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beyond expectations My S-2 went together easily with every hole aligning perfectly. The attention to detail and quality is evident throughout. I opted for the single skinny bar. I"m 5'11 and can do pull ups without my feet hitting the ground. Well done Rouge!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth every penny This has been one of the best fitness-related purchases I've made. Combined with a good a barbell/plate set and some gymnastic rings it allows me to do everything that doesn't involve running pretty much. It's rock solid and fits nicely within an average ceiling's height, although it could be cut down to fit with a little bit of work if space is really tight. I fully expect to be using this for many, many years into the future without an issue. The American made quality shows!
