Product Description

Designed in collaboration with Strongman Legend Jerry Pritchett, the Monster Lite Pritchett Pad gives athletes a novel and space-efficient way to do chest-supported rows. Unlike other chest-supported landmine row machines that take up a lot of room and come with expensive shipping costs, the Pritchett Pad is a small adjustable rack attachment that ships fully assembled. The pad height can be easily adjusted by simply sliding the channel onto an existing Monster Lite upright, then securing it with the included detent pin. For owners of a Monster Series rack/rig, see our Monster Pritchett Pad.

ROGUE MONSTER LITE PRITCHETT PAD

Designed in collaboration with Strongman Legend Jerry Pritchett, the Monster Lite Pritchett Pad gives athletes a novel and space-efficient way to do chest-supported rows. Unlike other chest-supported landmine row machines that take up a lot of room and come with expensive shipping costs, the Pritchett Pad is a small adjustable rack attachment that ships fully assembled. The pad height can be easily adjusted by simply sliding onto an existing Monster Lite upright, then securing it with the included detent pin. For owners of a Monster Series rack/rig, see our Monster Pritchett Pad.

Original Design Fabricated by Jerry Pritchett:

The benefits of chest-supported rows include the alleviation of unnecessary strain on the vertebrae and shoulder joints, allowing for more reps and heavier weights to be lifted without the injury risk of unsupported rows.

The Monster Lite Pritchett Pad is manufactured in the USA utilizing a 3x3” 11-gauge steel arm and a tapered pad design that allows for better freedom of movement. The arm is reinforced with two gussets, and UHMW plastic is included in the mounting channel to prevent metal-to-metal contact. Once locked in, the pad extends 33” out from the mounting upright.

We designed the Monster Pritchett Pad with the Rogue Landmine Single or a similar rack-mounted landmine attachment in mind (sold separately). However, the pad can also be used with a post landmine or for dumbbell rows, barbell rows, and more.

Note: For athletes using a rack mounted Landmine + Handle, the offset design of the pad ensures that the barbell will be centered in the middle of the pad.

IMPORTANT: For your safety, the Monster Lite Pritchett Pad should only be installed on rigs or racks that are securely fastened to the floor.

Maximise Rows, but Be Careful of Landmine Position
I had considered buying the Rogue Monster Lite Pritchett Pad before, but the price initially put me off. However, due to an injury preventing me from hinging, I decided to go for it, and I don't regret it at all. It’s been fantastic for allowing me to continue with landmine rows, seal rows, chest-supported dumbbell rows, and to really focus on the movement without worrying about spinal positioning as the weight increases. The pad is super stable, and the chest support makes a huge difference, especially for landmine and barbell rows. It's excellent for dumbbell work too, as they don’t hit off it as easily as they would on a regular bench. Another bonus, which I believe is a first for an RML attachment, is the UHMW plastic on all touchpoints—none of my other RML attachments have this level of protection. It was also the best-packaged item I've received from Rogue. This was my first order where the item arrived without any damage, so it seems like Rogue has improved their shipping process. It's nice to see they’ve addressed the issue of metal-on-metal damage during delivery—unless this level of protection is specific to the Pritchett Pad. One thing to watch out for, though, is the landmine setup. There’s no clear guidance on where to position the landmine attachment, and if you don’t pay attention to the product images, you might make the same mistake I did. For the past number of years, I had my landmine attachment at the bottom of the back upright of my 43" rack. Unfortunately, this setup caused the landmine handle to hit the bottom of the pad and the upright of the pad, scuffing it up. To avoid this, you need to place the landmine attachment a few holes up on the bottom crossmember, ensuring the handle doesn't hit the pad. Additionally, I'd recommend using a 1-inch spacer in the landmine attachment to prevent it from hitting the rack or pad upright. The Rogue team was very helpful when I reached out for advice, and their support made the setup clearer. Overall, while it is an expensive purchase, it was necessary for me, and I’m extremely happy with the decision.

Unnecessary but necessary
This has been a great addition to our gym here in Aberdeen. Our members always thank us when we buy more Rogue kit. This allows them to stay within the rig area for accessory work instead of have to head into our cable/free weights area.

Good piece of kit
Excellent piece of to add to the power rack at home, but it desperately needs 1 of 2 things; 1) a longer chest pad, a 2-4” longer top and bottom would offer more adjustability. Using a landmine attachment and an Ohio oly bar, I wind up having to put the pad onto my stomach if I want to do a low-ish row, with nothing on my chest. A longer pad would fix this 2) some means of adjusting the angle of the pad. Either one of these would be a big help, and I hope you consider such improvements in the future.

Not Great.
I write this review with a heavy heart because I have an entire home gym full of Rouge equipment and all of it is great.... except this. I bought this about a month ago to add to my garage gym. I always missed the conventional check supported row machine that most commercial gyms have, and I thought this would be a great way to simulate the same movement at home. Unfortunately, I was wrong. The angle of the pad is just never right to get the back engagement that you want, no matter how much adjustment you make. Also, with the height that you end up pulling towards yourself once it is all set up, it ends up being more of a "face pull" exercise that you would normally perform on a cable machine with a rope attachment, rather than a back exercise (This is with a normal size rouge bar being used with a rouge landmine as well for length reference). Now for additional reference, I am 5'10" ,and a legitimate 5'10, not 5'7 and calling myself 5'10. I only add this in so that I can say that this issue probably only applies to people my height or shorter. Jerry Pritchett seems to be doing the movement with correct alignment in the video provided, but he's 6'4". So, if you are that tall, this problem may not apply to you. Anyway, after literal hours or adjusting the pad up and down, and working with the landmine placement I just gave up. I took the pad off and did standing/bent over barbell rows with the landmine instead and it worked much better. I am keeping the pad, because hopefully I can find some use for it in the future, but I would just beware of this issue if you are not very tall. If they offered a way to adjust the pad in a future variation, I think this could be a great product, but as is, it is not as useful as it appears to be.

A great tool to work pull strength
This really allows you to go heavy. It’s super stable and comfortable. The only downside is that it’s a little awkward to store.

Love It! Game Changer
I love this pad, I’ve been doing two arm dumbbell rows with it and I can train harder than with standard one arm dumbbell rows because it eliminates all lower back strain. It’s an instant favorite. My advice is that if you aren’t bolting it down as instructed, to counter balance the weight on the other side of the rack

Solid. Effective. Outstanding.
Man this thing is great. I am using it with a half rack and a short technique bar. A full sized bar is too long with a half rack. The Monster Lite Pritchett Pad is rock solid and easy to put on and remove. Also great for rear delt flys, dumbbell rows and spider curls. In terms of both quality of manufacturing and function, there is pretty much no room for improvement. Great addition for back training. The only reason I hesitate to recommend it is I don't want to give away my new secret weapon, but the secret is out, so buy it!
