Rogue Velocidor

The Rogue Velocidor is the next evolution of our popular Matador dip handle attachment. Available in both a Monster Series and Monster Lite compatible format, this rack-mounted design introduces removable handles that enable the user to select both the width and angle at which they perform their dips.

3 Handle Spacing Options:

  • Narrow: 13.5”
  • Standard: 17.25”
  • Wide: 21”

4 Handle Angle Positions:

  • Standard: 14 degrees (parallel to floor)
  • Straight: 0 degrees (parallel to each other and the floor)
  • Downward: Downward and outward angles of 7 degrees
  • Upward: Upward and outward angles of 7 degrees

In total, these new customization features create 12 different potential configurations of the Velocidor (far more if you include mounting height), with each offering its own benefits. Dips on parallel handles, for example, mimic a traditional gymnastics grip, while the downward set-up shifts the torso into more of a horizontal angle, placing greater emphasis on the pectoral muscles, particularly with a wider grip.

Using the included Monster Knurled Knob, handle adjustments can be made quickly and easily from one athlete to the next. The 1.9” diameter handles offer 16” of usable length, and are available in two finish options: Textured Black Smooth (same as the Matador) or Texture Black Knurled. The upgraded Knurled option includes convenient knurl marks approximately every 4” along each handle to help the user find and repeat a comfortable starting position from workout to workout.

The Rogue Velocidor is manufactured in the USA and equipped with UHMW channels and new stainless steel frame guards to protect the finish on both the rack and the Velocidor itself. Injection molded endcaps are incorporated into the handles and on the outside of the 3x3” tube of the main frame, and a plastic lining on the underside of the frame allows users to flip a mounted Velocidor into a vertical, storage position (using the same detent pin) without the risk of metal-to-metal contact.

Note: Each Velocidor ships with a 12" Mini Strip for additional storage off the rack. 2X 3/8" x 2-1/2" wood lag screws are included for mounting the Strip to wood studs.

Key Features

Removable Handles - 3 Width Options

Removable Handles - 3 Width Options

The Velocidor, like the Rogue Matador, creates an instant dip station on an existing 3x3” Monster or Monster Lite rack/rig, attaching securely via an included detent pin (1” for the Monster version, 5/8” for the M-Lite). This design introduces far more customization, however, starting with two handle finish options and 3 width options. Customers can select either a Textured Black Smooth finish (Matador-style grip + stainless threaded pin to prevent wear) or upgrade to a Texture Black Knurled option, which includes convenient knurl marks spaced approx. 4” apart, helping athletes repeat comfortable starting grip positions. As another improvement with the Velocidor, each 1.9” diameter handle can now be removed and placed in one of three holes, then secured quickly using the Monster Knurled Knob. This creates three handle width options with their own grip spacing ranges: Narrow (13.5” - 22”), Mid (17.25” - 26”), and Wide (21” - 29.5”).

4 Angle Settings

4 Angle Settings

The Velocidor further gives athletes the ability to choose the angle of their dip station handles by “clocking” them into any of 4 different directional positions: Standard (14 degrees - parallel to the floor), Straight (0 degrees - parallel to each other and the floor), Downward (7 degrees - down and outward angles), or Upward (7 degrees - up and outward angles). This not only allows a group of different athletes to quickly adjust the Velocidor to their preferred setting, but also gives individual athletes a greater variety of training experiences for their dip workouts. The Straight setting, for example, mimics a gymnastics parallel bar grip, while the 7-degree Downward setting naturally shifts the torso into more of a horizontal angle, placing greater emphasis on the pectoral muscles.

Quality Rogue Manufacturing

Quality Rogue Manufacturing

Made in the USA, the Velocidor features a 3x3” 7-gauge steel mounting tube and a ¼” thick welded steel frame with a Texture Black finish. The 16” removable handles, as noted, are produced in the customer’s choice of a Smooth or Knurled Texture Black finish. Injection molded endcaps are incorporated into the handles and on the outside of the 3x3” tube of the main frame, and protective UHMW channels and stainless steel frame guards help prevent unwanted metal-on-metal contact as adjustments are made. The look is completed with a laser-cut Velocidor logo.

Convenient Built-In Storage

Convenient Built-In Storage

When not in use, the Velocidor can be quickly “flipped” into a storage position simply by turning the handles vertically and mounting the attachment to the rack with the same detent pin. Again, we’ve included plastic on the underside of the frame so that there is no metal-to-metal contact even when storing the unit. When you need your dip station again, setting the Velocidor back into position takes only a few seconds.

Note: Each Velocidor ships with a 12" Mini Strip for additional storage off the rack. 2X 3/8" x 2-1/2" wood lag screws are included for mounting the Strip to wood studs.

God I love dips
I was using rings for dips, but I wanted to start going harder on my weighted dips. This thing is overbuilt in the best way possible. I wasn't sure if I would like the textured grip, but after a couple sets I definitely appreciated how grippy they were. Also, the rings on the textured handles are great for consistency and working the chest evenly. If I had to move this around on the rack, it would be annoying. On my monster lite, I was able to set it up by putting the bottom pin in the westside spacing holes and the top pin in the normally space holes (see picture) I had to use a pin I had bc it only comes with one. One of my shoulders can be cranky and being able to change the grip width and handle angle made a surprisingly big difference. Also, supersetting wide dips with narrow dips has been awesome for my chest. My bench gains were coming slower, but being able to do those sorts of supersets has been a game changers. Long story short, if you have the money, like your workout equipment built like a tank, and love doing dips, buy this now.

Awesome product
I don’t typically leave reviews but this product is amazing. Overly built like all Rogue products so it’s super sturdy, folds down for great storage. The versatility is amazing of the different angles. If it came with two pins that would be nice, I purchased second pin from hardware store for cheap but would be nice. Also can you come out with a Velocidor T Shirt? That would be amazing with that cool logo. Thanks

Overall great but odd lack of quality control
This arrived today and overall I’m pleased, however there are some strange inconsistencies in some of the welds on the handles. There are what seems to be seams from when they bent the metal to make the round shape. I’m not sure if this is common and just part of the manufacturing process, but no one has mentioned them which makes me wonder if my pair isn’t as seamless as others. The other odd thing is that the line is different from one handle to the next. You’d think that if the seam is part of every handle, they would at least have the seam in the same place on every handle, and I’m trying to not let it drive my OCD crazy. The last part is the weld opposite where the bolt at the end is the weld pretty drastically sticks out on both handles, and I would have expected with how great the rest of the manufacturing is when it comes to welds, that this would have been welded to protrude, and then ground down. I’m honestly not sure what that weld point is from, because it is the opposite side of where the nub is where the bolt screws in. The quality of the main housing is perfect, so it’s just a bit of a let down seeing the handles not as refined in the fabrication process. These cosmetic issues don’t detract from how great the dips feel, and I really really feel a difference with the different angles. Just surprised at the quality control on those points.

Best Dip Station in my opinion
Bought this a couple month ago to have a more stable dips station than with matador and to have knurled handles. i opted for the velocidor over the UDA for the thicker handles, and -despite this being a complaint for many users- for the extra weight, to increase stability. I am 200 pounds and weight myself with more than 3 45s for reps and this thing absolutely do not wiggle. I dont find it hard to set it up if you take off the handles but i understand it can be annoying for Skinner/older people. I dont find myself using the different widths of grips, but i use different angle settings and i really enjoy this feature way more than i expected to. Overall i did not feel any more pec activation on the downward angle but having a 7° outward angle is more shoulder friendly than the 14° when you use dips 3-4 Times / week. I really like the option to have purely neutral handles and i feel it can be game changer for those who do streetlifting. The 7° upward angle feels like pure heavy triceps isolation and has become my main triceps mass builder. The knurling feels very grippy without tearing hands like on power coated kabuki products (transformer and kadillac bars) I really do not regret my choice this thing is pricy but if you really enjoy dips and regularly set it up in your work out routine i think this one is the Best choice.

Parallel dips at your fingertips.
Very stable. No movements at all when I do my weighted dips. The parallel dips is the best reason to get this.

Awesome upgrade to the matador
I’m really liking the Velocidor. It’s definitely an upgrade to the Matador (which I own and have used quite a bit). The matador is plenty solid, and gets the job done just fine, in my opinion, but if you’re really into dips, especially weighted dips, then the extra features of the Velocidor are amazing. Being able to dial in the handle width to fit one’s body type is very helpful and allows you to get a good stable position for going heavy. The angles make shifting the muscle emphasis more natural, and I appreciate having the option to go full parallel for pull ups or L-sits. The knurling is another great feature. It allows for good grip, but the separation markings are what I really like as they provide easy reference points for balanced grip. Overall, this is an amazing dip attachment and it lacks nothing, in my opinion. I love dips, so I’m a fan of this thing. This thing isn’t cheap, and so if you only occasionally work dips into your routine, you might want to go with the matador or even a set of rings. I was doing just find with the matador. But I love the velocidor. Totally extra—but amazingly extra!
