The Rogue SML-1 Monster Lite Squat Stand combines elements from the 70” stands of our standard S-Series and Monster line to create a versatile hybrid unit. The uprights are constructed from the same 3x3” 11-gauge steel tubing as the Monster SM-1, but with the 5/8” hardware and Westside hole spacing of the S-1.
Equally well suited to a small garage gym or large-scale weight training center, the SML-1 Squat Stand stands six feet tall and operates within an efficient 48"x49" footprint. It’s an American-built squat stand as dynamic and durable as many power racks, available at an affordable price.
Note: Due to no pull-up bar connecting the uprights of the SML-1, certain attachments such as the Monster Lite Matador and Plate Storage Posts are not recommended. Use of these accessories in conjunction with the SML-1 Squat Stand can cause severe injury to the user and damage the equipment.
*If you’re interested in a Monster Lite Squat Stand with a pull up bar option, consider the larger Monster Lite 90" Squat Stand or the Monster Lite 108" Squat Stand.

Heavy Gauge American Steel and Hardware
The SML-1 is manufactured in Columbus, Ohio with US steel, using (2) heavy-duty 11-gauge 3x3" square laser-cut steel uprights and (3) 2x3” 11-gauge steel base tubes for optimal stability. The unit includes laser-cut 5/8" diameter holes and SAE grade 5 bolt hardware. The finish is our signature black powdercoat.

Space Efficiency
As the most compact member of the Monster Lite Squat Stands, this unit fits easily into most home gyms and garage gyms, or into a tight corner of a larger training facility. The standard construction stands 6 ft. tall with a total footprint of just 48” x 49”.

Every weld and laser-cut at Rogue is inspected individually at each step of the process for integrity and appearance. Every part is again individually inspected for finish after the powder coat process. The entire package receives a final comprehensive quality assurance check before it’s shipped. Strong and Sturdy
Exactly what I needed. Easy to assemble and sturdy. I had outgrown my aluminum power rack and needed something that didn't shake when you racked a 325 squat on it. The Rogue Squat Stand solved that problem.

Old reliable
This is my second SM-L rack. (Had to sell the first during a move). It’s solid. No worries loading heavy with any type barbell. The footprint is efficient. You could build a tank with the 5/8 inch hardware. I really see no reason to go overkill with the 1 inch hardware on the monster racks. The standard j-cups are getting a little dated considering the new products available. I upgraded to some roller j- hooks and it’s really worth it.

Great Product, Horrible specs on bolts
I am so happy with my purchase! Fast delivery and even faster assembly. The SML-1 looks and feels incredibly secure. The only gripe I have is that the instructions are not specific with regards to what size socket you will need. Do not let the 5/8 read-out fool you. The actual socket needed to tighten everything is the 15/16 size. This is literally the only reason it’s not 5 starts. Rogue needs to give a better / more accurate description of the assembly specs.

Yet another top notch product from rogue
To say the Sml 1 is great would be an understatement. I’m not really surprised because I have been buying rogue equipment for a decade. This rack however exceeded even what I was expecting. It is so solid. I cant come up with anything negative to say and all that I would recommend is get the spotter arms. It seems pointless to get a rack like this without them. I’ve already pr’d by trying weights I wouldn’t have tried. I’ve already missed a bench press and the spotter arms were right there.
