The Tacx NEO Bike Plus is Garmin’s premier smart bike for indoor cycling, offering realistic road feel and simulated gradients from actual courses via the Tacx® Training smart-device app. Easily customizable to match the fit of your outdoor bike, the NEO Bike Plus can produce up to 2,200 watts of power and replicate up to a 25% gradient, with no calibration needed.
The NEO Bike Plus doesn’t have wheels like a traditional stationary bike, nor does it require adapting an outdoor bike in the style of a Smart Trainer. Instead, this innovative design uses dynamic inertia to create and maintain the sensation of forward motion based on your speed and gradient to make your ride feel more realistic. While you ride, the gear feel mimics the sensation of your chain jumping into a different gear, and when connected to an external power source, descent simulation accurately replicates a downhill drive. Riders can also tap the shifters to change gears with the precision and feel of electronic shifting. Best of all, even the most intense cycling workouts won’t disturb people in the next room, thanks to NEO smart technology and a streamlined internal design optimized for quiet operation.
Once you’re on your chosen virtual road, the Tacx NEO Bike Plus will also provide an assortment of performance metrics to track your ride (through your own connected tablet, smartphone, bike computer, etc). Measurements are reliable and consistent, just like on an outdoor ride, and include power, speed, and cadence, measured accurately within 1%. This smart bike even measures the position of your left and right legs to break down your pedaling technique and help you develop a more effective stroke.

Match the Fit of Your Outdoor Bike
Simple adjustments make the NEO Bike Plus ideal for workouts by multiple athletes in the home. The slim seatpost and handlebar positions can be easily and precisely adjusted to ensure maximum comfort. Cyclists can also choose pedals (not included) that suit their style of riding. These can be installed easily with five crank length options for a secure fit.
Accurate + Realistic
The Tacx NEO Bike Plus uses the latest smart bike technology to track your performance and progress with reliable, consistent measurements. That includes power, speed and cadence, measured accurately within 1%. In place of a flywheel, magnets and dynamic inertia maintain a sensation of forward motion based on your speed and gradient, making your ride feel more realistic. The gear feel also mimics that of your outdoor bike’s chain jumping into a different gear. When integrated with the Tacx Training app, the bike will even vibrate and simulate the feeling of riding on different road surfaces, such as cobblestone and gravel.
Sprint & Climb
The well-balanced design of the Tacx NEO Bike Plus provides dependable stability, even during the most explosive sprints, up to 2,200 watts. Cyclists can also test themselves by training on realistically simulated inclines up to a 25% gradient. Shifting is smoother on this model, too, as riders can tap the shifters to change gears with the precision and feel of electronic shifting. You’ll find the correct gear easily and quickly, especially when riding hard, with shifters programmable for SHIMANO, SRAM, or Campagnolo.
Get Connected
While the NEO Bike Plus can offer a great workout in standalone mode, it opens new worlds when connected. You can connect the smart bike to multiple devices simultaneously, so you can enjoy the Tacx Training app on your smartphone, tablet or laptop and track your performance on your Garmin bike computer at the same time. The app includes 250+ high-quality, real-life videos that let you experience the rush of riding famous courses from around the world (other compatible apps include TrainerRoad and Zwift). The included 4.5” display comes with USB chargers, so you can power up your devices as you train.
