Scoring Notes

Final Score: Total number of reps

* Each calorie on the Echo Bike = 1 Rep
* Each Clean and Jerk = 1 Rep
* If athletes make it past the Bike, the time it took to complete the bike is the tiebreak time.

* In order to be eligible for the RX World Wide Men's/Women's Team prizes, teams will need to complete the workout RX, use a Rogue Echo Bike, follow all rules and movement standards listed in this document as well as submit video evidence. Athletes must select "RX" upon submission in the "Strongest" platform

* Athletes may scale weights, reps, and bike type as needed if desired. Must select "scaled" upon submission in the "Strongest" platform

Equipment Needed

  • Rogue Echo Bike or similar air bike
    * Rogue Echo Bike is required to be eligible for the World Wide Team prizes. Substitute bikes are permitted for scaled division.
    * Note: Seats other than the stock, wrapping or covering any portion of the bike’s fan wheel in any way including using an Echo Bike wind guard, weighing down or anchoring the bike in anyway and any other modifications are not permitted

  • Standard 15kg (35LB) or 20kg (45LB) barbell
  • Weight plates with the weight clearly marked 
  • Barbell collars
  • Rogue brand gear is not required

Workout FLOW

  1. To start, both athletes stand behind the Echo Bike. On “GO”, one athlete mounts the bike, which starts at 0 cal and counts up to 100/80 cal (M/F).
    * Athletes may switch on/off the bike as desired until the cumulative 100/80 calories for the team are achieved.
  2. After the calories are complete, the athletes advance to the barbell to complete 20 reps at the first weight.
  3. Once the 20 reps are complete, athletes change their own weight to the second weight, to then complete 20 more reps. 
  4. This is repeated until athletes get to the final barbell weight of (275/185LB) (125/85 kg) where they will complete max reps with the remaining time.


MOVEMENT STANDARDS

ECHO BIKE

  1. Starts at 0 cal; the athlete dismounts when the monitor reads exactly 100/80 cal (M/F). 

CLEAN AND JERK

  1. The barbell begins on the ground and must be lifted from the ground to the shoulders in one motion.
  2. Once racked, press or jerk the barbell overhead.
  3. The rep is counted when the bar is fully locked out overhead directly over the middle of the athlete’s body, with the arms, hips and knees extended, and the feet in line under the body.
  4. Collars must be on both sides of the barbell for the rep to count.

If you are completing the challenge RX in attempt to win prizes, the following must be shown and submitted in the scoring platform to be eligible:

All video submissions should be uncut and unedited in order to accurately display the performance. Videos shot with a fisheye lens or similar lens may be rejected due to the visual distortion these lenses cause.  Sound should be ON during the filming. Be sure the athlete has adequate space to safely complete the movement and clear the area of all extra equipment, people, or other obstructions so that the video is clear. 

The video should be shot from at a 45 degree angle to the athlete ensuring that the video clearly shows the athletes in frame. Critical items that need to be clearly visible on the video: 

  1.  Show all equipment to be used to the camera following all equipment rules outlined
  2. Clearly show the full range of motion for each competitor competing in the attempt
  3.  The air bike monitor showing the tie breaker time


the athlete will need to follow the steps outlined below:

  1. The submitted video should start with the athletes in frame stating their name, and the competition name "R.A.D Tin Slingers"
  2. The camera should then clearly show all equipment the athlete will use during their challenge attempt. All of the following must be shown:* Barbell, to include end caps
    * All weight plates that will be used in their attempt
         * Both sides of the plates
         * Plates need to clearly have the weights printed on them, and both sides must be displayed to the camera
    * A 360 degree walk around of the bike specifically showing the following:
         * There are no wind guards/wind blocks added to the fan wheel
         * The bike is not anchored to the floor in any way to include stacked plates or sandbags on bike feet or any of kind straps/bolts anchoring the bike etc
         * There are no clip in pedals used
         * The bike has the stock seat on it   
         * There are no other modifications made to the bike 
         * If you have questions about your bike setup, please email pictures and an explanation to judging@roguefitness.com for approval before your attempt
  3. The camera should move back into the correct 45 degree filming angle for the challenge attempt. 
    * The final position should all range of motion and the bike portion of the attempt 
  4. Once the athletes are ready they may being their attempt following all rules outlined
  5. After the attempt is completed, the camera needs to move in and show the bike monitor screen showing the time taken to complete the initial 100/80 calorie bike
  6. Head to https://compete.strongest.com and submit your score to see where you land on the leaderboard!


* All of the steps above should be done with the camera continuously running for the video to be accepted.
* Failure to show these steps/items could make the video submission subject to rejection at the judge's discretion.
