RML-390F Flat Foot Monster Lite Rack

The RML-390F is the Flat Foot version of the RML-3 Monster Lite Power Rack. Available as a stand-alone unit or by converting an existing SML-2 or SML-3 Squat Stand, this rack’s self-stabilizing base means you won’t need to bolt it to the ground before you use it—a major benefit for those looking to protect their floors or to have more flexibility in a workout space.

The Flat Foot Monster Lite Rack is manufactured in Columbus, OH, and features 3x3” 11-gauge steel uprights with Westside hole spacing and 5/8” bolts and fasteners. Leaving just a 48”x49” footprint, the unit still creates a substantial 30” of inside depth. Customers can choose between a Single Skinny or Fat/Skinny 43” Pull-up Bar, and all orders come standard with a pair of Monster Lite J-Cups and a pin/pipe safety system.

RML-390F Conversion Kit Includes:

  • (2) Monster Lite 90" Sticks
  • (1) XML-30" Crossmember Pair
  • (1) 30" Pin/ Pipe Safety System
  • All additional hardware required

PLEASE NOTE: If you already own a Rogue SML-2 or SML-3 Monster Lite Squat Stand and want to convert it to a Flat Foot Power Rack, we offer an RML-390F Conversion Kit with all of the components and hardware you will need. The conversion kit is only compatible with the SML-2 and SML-3 and provided uprights will only be available at the 90” height.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Easy set up, all the nuts and bolts were the same which made for no guessing. The directions were just photos with minimal wording but we're relatively easy to follow. I built the uprights on the ground then stood them up and attached them to the base. The shipping was fast, about a week and everything was packaged beautifully. I contacted customer service about getting a different bar than the ones they had in the drop down boxes to add to the cage. They told me to just pick a bar and put the bar I wanted in the notes section when finalizing the order and they would charge me the difference. They did just that and shipped me everything I ordered spot on. Excellent quality and customer service highly recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from WoW Before today, the only thing that made in America meant to me was the horrible ford escort, explorer, Jeep etc cars I've owned in the past. Made in America was this elusive concept that I had no frame of reference for. That was until the UPS freight guy unloaded this thing. I can't say enough about the build quality. Not only that, it was so easy to put together, as if it were designed that way. 1 bolt for everything, no wondering what goes where or trying to figure out if this bolt is the right size or not. The steel just feels good in your hands and the coat/finish is awesome to behold. The imprint is smaller than I expected, which is a good thing, I have no wobble even when I try (unsuccessfully) to do a kipping muscle up. This thing feels bomb proof. You can spend money on cheaper, and I have no idea if the quality is there or not, all I can say is that I do not begrudge a single penny that my wife spent (gift) on this. I will say though, that I don't understand the fat/skinny grip pull up. you can only do which ever is lower on the frame, otherwise the top bar is obstructed by the lower bar. I feel like I am missing something.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pure beast! I just got mine the other day, and assembled it. As others have said the assembly was pretty simple. It would probably be easier with two people, but I did it on my own and it took about an hour and a half with a ratchet and wrench. I could not get over how heavy duty this rack is. Once I bolted the stout pieces together it was rock solid. It has minimal amount of move on the floor but i only have 275 pounds on it at the moment. More weight will seat it down pretty well. I can still do pullups and ring dips on just fine. Plain and simple this thing is a beast.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from suggestion for adapting for outdoor use Another reviewer posted information as to how to adapt a rig for outdoor use. It was very helpful for me. It involves purchasing some plastic plugs for the holes on the sides of the uprights and also purchasing some plastic caps for the tops of the uprights. It is my understanding that only the outsides of the Rogue rigs are powder coated to protect against morning dew and rain and snow. The insides of the tubes are not powder coated and thus will rust over time if not protected if the rig is installed outdoors. I suggest that Rogue offer for sale through its own website these additional parts to help weather proof the rig for those intending on an outdoor installation. Here is the information from the other review (by the way, if you have a Monster rig rather than a Monster Lite rig, be sure to get the 1" plugs instead of the size mentioned below): If you decide you want to put a Rogue Rig outside, I recommend you get the following: Heyco .625 Dome Plugs to plug all the additional holes in the tube steel that you will not be using. This rig will rust on the interior if not protected. They can be ordered through Fastenal. I also recommend capping the top of the tube steel with Silicone and these:

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome I bought this rig back in August and use it every day. It is sturdy and I can do kipping pullups, butterfly pullups, TTB and all that good stuff without it moving. I also attach my mattador for dips to it and it works great. It's like a total gym in one. I rent so I didn't want to bolt anything down and this was a great solution. Love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Home Gym Owners Dream So, Santa came yesterday and brought me some new toys of which one of them was this amazing rack. I put it together in about 90 min by myself, but I had help with my trusty Impact Wrench that I use for my cars. Set Up: 8/10 What's easier than Bolt, Washer, Lock Washer and Nut? It's the same for everything tat attaches to this thing. The only thing is I wish they gave instructions for the proper order on attaching things to make it easier. I just went by the picture on the website and worked from the ground up. Tools: - Makita Impact Wrench (Cordless) This would have taken 3x as long with only ratchets - 1/2 Ratchet - 2 Sockets Sized 15/16 - Weights (To keep things standing while I attached beams Time: 90 min for one person Build Quality: 10/10 - Nothing big I can point out - Powder Coating is great and so are the welds Sturdiness: 9/10 - Very solid as I'm able to do kipping pull-ups, but it does move a little. - However, I now have 450lbs of weight on the rack and it doesn't move at all. Accessories: 10/10 - J-Cups x2 - Ordered an extra set so my wife and I can work out on each side of the rack. Great quality and can be placed on the outside or inside of the rack - Safety Straps (Comes with safety pins, but we didn't want to have barbells dropped on the pins). Straps are great build quality and easy to set up. - Safety Pins: Probably going to be used for bench and storing things like bands - Skinny Pull-up bar: Being 6 ft tall, it made sense to have the bar as high up as possible to I chose the skinny bar. The feel is great. Enough grip to stay on the bar, but not too much that it rips the hands right away. - Plate Storage: Ordered 2 sets (4 total) 1 - Holds 4 - 45lb Hi-Temp Bumpers 2 - Holding 4 - 25lb Hi Temp Bumpers (but could hold more) 3 - Holding 4 - 15lb Hi Temp Bumpers (but could hold more) 4 - Holding 4 - 10lb and two 35lb Hi Temp Bumpers (room for a couple more 10lb) - Rogue Bench: Very solid, was fully put together. Shipping: 10/10 - All items wrapped nicely and arrived unharmed. Overall, this is a great piece and I know my wife and I will use it for a very long time. We can both use it at the same time and when clients (personal training) we can have several work at the same time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bomb Proof!!! I've had my Flat Foot Rack about a month and I'm loving it. This thing is bomb proof. The only rack you will ever need to buy in life. I was worried the pin/pipe system was too skimpy, not the case. Great job Rogue!

RML-390F Flat Foot Monster Lite Rack is rated 4.9524 out of 5 by 21.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid rack - gets the job done Been using rack for 3 months. Assembly was very manageable and took about an hour or so. Although I did it alone, a second person would come in handy during final stages of assembly to hold things upright. The rack is high quality and very solid. I'm 5'10", 200#, and can do kip pull-ups, TTB, basically any dynamic movement without it rocking too much. It feels most solid with a couple of 45# plates laid on each of the two legs as counter weight or on plate holders mounted low on the uprights opposite the pull-up bar. The rest of the rack is self explanatory and there is plenty of room within the rack for any movement. I placed the rack on the Rogue rubber tiles in 3x3 array and it fits just right.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth Every Penny Bought this rack Holiday of 2013 and it still blows me away to this day. You can drop it from an airplane and it will be unblemished. An entire gym in one. The depth of the rack is absolutely perfect, and so it the height. When people come over they are in awe of the quality. Its RPG proof. I chose not to bolt into the garage concrete, so this was the very best solution. Once you load up the storage pins with weights, it will barely budge. If Rogue wanted to be jerks, they could double the price, and it would still be worth it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simply the best free standing rack, Period! I just order this and it finally came in. Putting it together was very simple and straight forward. When you get it and lift a part of the rack you stop and think to yourself. Holy cow is this thing made well. It's very easy to count the holes using the side holes as guides. I will definitely have this rack forever. If you are looking at racks the price is simply amazing for what you get. I think it's built much better than the other series racks. And having it 3x3 makes it where pieces fit any direction. Big plus you really don't think about prior. I will try to add photos soon. I'm trying to post pics but they won't post.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Capable of more than you think! 15/16 Socket and wrench required to put together. Make sure you have an impact driver, or it will suck! Super easy with the correct tools. I spent a good bit of time trying to choose the best rig for my application, an outdoor gym. After customizing to fit my needs, I am satisfied with my purchase. I am glad I went with a Monster Light over Infinity as well, because for the small difference in price, you gain a lot of stability and options as far as accessories. I customized the rig with the following: (2) SP3358 Plate Storage Pair – Monster Lite (1) XML-36A Monster Lite 36” Extension Kit (1) Competition Ring Straps With the use of the extension kit I have one side of my rig that is now 10'-8" high with rings hanging. At six feet tall, I am able to do muscle ups on this rig without it moving at all or my head hitting anything. (Keep in mind I have my plate storage on the sides). The rig also does not move a bit with any kind of pullups on standard skinny bar side. I ordered an extra set of JCups so two of us can also squat on both sides of the rack at once. Again, no problems. If you decide you want to put a Rogue Rig outside in a climate like PA as I have, I recommend you get the following: 4' x 6' Stall Mat from Tractor Supply - $39.99 to put the rig on. Heyco .625 Dome Plugs to plug all the additional holes in the tube steel that you will not be using. This rig will rust on the interior if not protected. They can be ordered through Fastenal. I also recommend caping the top of the tube steel with Silicone and these:

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Heavy-duty impressive rack This was my first purchase from Rogue and I'll do it again. Very well built and heavy duty construction. I have to admit this is probably overbuilt for my home gym- I could've easily gotten away with an infinity or echo rack now that I've seen this one. Glad I bought it though. I looks bad a** and definitely adds some piece of mind when squatting and benching solo. I would recommend purchasing the Rogue S-base floor mounting feet. The rack is heavy enough not to slide but I have found that the "feet" of the rack creep together slightly. Also purchased the matador and it works awesome with this rack. I keep 135 on the rack while dipping and it doesn't move much at all. I had no problem assembling this by myself with a crescent wrench and a socket set.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth it! I bought this rack at the beginning of summer as an alternative to paying for a gym membership. I'm very happy with my decision. The rack is the best quality I have every seen in any gym. I bought the rogue flat bench to go along with it. I was debating on if I should spend the extra money on rogue equipment, but I'm so glad I decided to do it. It cost me about $1100 for all my rack and bench including shipping. I wanted something that would last a lifetime and rogue exceeded my expectations. It's worth doing right the first time and getting a quality product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not moving I bought the flat footed rack for my new home gym a couple weeks ago. My gym is in my basement, and I've had rubber mat flooring installed, so I wanted a rack that would stay in place without needed to be bolted to the floor. I am beyond happy with this rack, and every time I look at it, I feel like a kid at Christmas! Solid as a rock, and doesn't move around at all. My only advice on this rig is to install it with someone helping you. I installed it solo which I wouldn't advise. ;o)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than anything at my bigbox Had this almost a month now. Nothing but quality. Built super strong, you can feel the quality in it. The price is worth it just for the hole spacing. Looked at other cheaper racks, but the spacing was terrible. This was about my only choice from Rogue because I cannot drill into my garage floor, as the heating system is in the floor. Also wanted a small footprint as the garage is used for more than just a home gym. Got just the skinny pull up bar, it is great, and for me, not that skinny. I weigh 210 and the rack barely budges when doing pullups. The parts all fit together easy enough, but it would be a lot faster if you have someone help you and you will need a bigger ratchet that what you get in your standard set. I stubbornly put it together myself, but was honestly lucky one of the columns did not crash down around me. UPS lost track of the package but Rogue customer service got right on it and all was taken care of. One other note, the edges on the J-Cups are sharp. I hit one of my bumpers against one and it took a small chunk out of the plate. I have now wrapped them with tape, to keep the edges covered. Have done this as well with the safety pipes also, so no metal on metal. Also, as mentioned in another review, get a silver sharpie to number the holes, will make your life a lot easier. I also ordered the Chan bar and some HG bumpers, and will leave a review in their sections. Put simply, you cannot go wrong with this. I almost bought one of the squat stands instead, but for not that much more money, got this and way more functionality. Thanks to Rogue customer service for putting up with all my questions before I ordered and even after I ordered. More orders are planned!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for a garage gym This was my first purchase from Rogue, along with an Ohio Bar and a set of bumper plates. This rack is by far one of the best I've ever used, including some of the high end stuff in any commercial gym. All of the parts were well packaged and arrived in pristine condition. The only marks on the rack now are from me using it! Assembly was quick and easy - only took about an hour by myself. Connecting the first set of uprights with the cross member with 1 person was a bit difficult, but doable. I used some bar clamps and rope to secure one to a shelf I had nearby to help hold them up until secured. The rack is light enough to be moved around with help when unloaded if you ever need to move it. However, even at that it's extremely sturdy. I'm 270lbs and can do pull ups on the bar without any additional counter weight and the rack is rock solid. Numbering on the holes would be helpful for lining up the J-Cups, but that's easily done with a silver Sharpie or metallic paint. The only drawback to this rack is the pin and pipe safeties. Sliding them in place is difficult to get the pins lined up properly, and with them being solid steel I feel like I have to be extra careful with my bar to keep from messing it up. I like to bottom position stuff (i.e. bench press, squats) and start with the bar on the safeties. It's started to leave marks on my bar from rolling or landing on the safeties. Overall it's an amazing piece of equipment and rock solid. Definitely happy with my purchase!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great piece of equipment This incredibly solid, well-made rack arrived just last week. My thirteen year old daughter and I had it unloaded from the pallet, unpacked, and assembled in less than ninety minutes, with only a pocket knife and two adjustable wrenches. Its 295 lb weight makes it very stable. I weight 260 lbs, and was doing pull-ups with no movement, and dips (with the Matador) with only barely perceptible movement, and this is without any plates stored on it. Storing plates on it makes it immovable. Everything about this seems overbuilt, and that is the reason we went with it--while our children lift only with an adult present, my wife and I sometimes lift alone, and this rack allows us to do squats with confidence that if a lift goes bad, we at least do not have to worry about dropping weights on ourselves. We ordered this along with the Matador, bench, some plate storage, Rogue Power Bar, and a set of Hi-Temps, and we couldn't be happier with our purchase. American-made, top-notch quality, good price (and a great value), and fantastic customer service. Thanks Rogue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Top of the line standalone rack When I started looking at all the racks Rogue has to offer that don't require it to be bolted to the floor, I was kind of stuck between something much larger than I have room for or something much more expensive than I wanted to spend. Then I saw this rack. After getting it together, it is the perfect size and doesn't sway at all no matter what I am doing on it. The quality is better than all, just like all other Rogue equipment, and I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a stand alone rack without having to purchase additional cross members and making it much more expensive. My only word of advice is to have someone help you assemble the rack, doing it alone is a little awkward, but I was too excited to get it up to wait for anyone to help. Great job Rogue and keep up the good work.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best rack that doesn't have to be bolted down I ordered this rack on the black friday sale and got it up and already love it. It is so solid, kipping pullups on it don't even sway it. I will say that I would not recommend putting it together by yourself, from experience, but it did go together very easy and the quality is top notch. I would recommend this rack as the best economical choice if you are looking for a full rack that is standalone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Spectacular Shipping: Took a week to deliver, fast in my opinion considering Thanskgiving Holiday and the fact it was freight shipment. Well packed on a palate. Not a scratch or dent. All parts accounted for. Easy to unpack with a utility blade. Assembly: Fairly simple with the right tools, get a 15/16 wrench and socket. Only needed the wife when it came to putting the 2 columns and middle bar together. Material quality: Built like a tank. Sturdy, it won't move regardless of what I do on it. I squat 405 lbs, feel safer than any other power rack I used in the past. Versatility: I recommend adding the X-43M Multi Grip Crossmember and get another pair of J-cups. I also ordered the kids pull up bar for my son. Cons: Would love to have the holes numbered so it would be easier to track the J-cup positions as I change exercises. I saw this option on the monster version but with the 7 gauge version, really who needs 7 gauge? maybe if you are Ronnie Coleman or Johnny Jackson. This could easily be fixed with sticker numbers. I also would like to see the Strap Safety System option but couldn't find it on the site, it is available for Infinity and Monster models. Overall: Extremely satisfied with my purchase, highly recommended. I look forward to a lifetime of workouts and eventually passing it to my son as he grows. Did I mention, MADE IN AMERICA!!!
