This bar - Cerakote Version is the one and only you’ll ever need. The E-coat finish is too slippery and the knurling feels off compared to the supreme Cerakote finish. Spend the extra bucks and be satisfied inside and out. I

I bought this with a gift card. It’s a very sturdy bar, it will last forever. The knurl on it is not too aggressive. You can use it for a variety of workouts.

This thing is crazy. The feel is incredible, coming from a bar that was ultra-hardened, poorly knurled, poorly designed, and did not have 2" sleeves that had bushings, it's hard to describe just how much of an upgrade this bar is. I literally threw the old bar in the trash (well, the recycling bin). Not because I wanted to deprive someone else of a curl bar, but it was literally so awful that it was actually a health risk. The old bar was designed to be split in half and held together with a set screw. It never failed in 10+ years in service... but I tell you with absolute sincerity, that every single time I used it I was filled with anxiety, doubt, and trepidation, and honestly, dread. I was quite frankly worried it would split apart mid-lift and break my foot/feet. The Rogue curl bar, on the other hand, feels like another plane of reality compared to my old bar. The steel feel in hand, has the perfect amount of malleability/conformity/flex... that is to say, the bar does not flex, but coming from over-hardened steel... Like, you can just feel it, you can feel that it's "right". Not too hard, not too soft, it's Goldilocks steel, really. The knurling is great, it's apparently based on the Ohio knurl - I've never held an Ohio bar but mention it for those that have. It has.more grip than any bar I've used up until this point, and I got the cerakote version which allegedly fills in the knurling some - well, good, I say, I did a 10x10 workout with this and my hands were getting a little sensitive at the end... this bar will definitely build your callouses up. The bends are a delight to hold, the full knurling along the whole bar (minus the center) is one of the main reasons I went with this bar, and so glad I did. The sleeves are beautiful, the Rogue logo is tastefully done, a mark of pride from the manufacturer, and well deserved. The spin on the plates when curling up is perfect, free spinning but controlled. I've never looked forward to curl day until I got this bar. Definitely helps you look forward to your workouts. An unexpected bonus is... I actually prefer this bar for hip thrusts as well. It's just the right size and has a nice balance to it. I'll say this, the attention to detail and made in America might mean you pay a little more... but it is absolutely worth it. This bar has made me certain I will be buying another barbell from Rogue. I own a nice barbell from another company... so while I don't have a mountain of experience with barbells, I do know what the minimum standards of a nice barbell should encompass.

I absolutely love this bar. As always with Rogue equipment, it is perfect when used correctly.
