Tia-Clair Toomey

For eight individual titles spanning 2017–2022 and again in 2024 and 2025, Tia-Clair Toomey-Orr has earned the undisputed title of “Fittest Woman on Earth.” She balances unmatched physical talent with unwavering discipline and quiet humility—qualities that have inspired a generation, especially young women, to pursue elite fitness.

Her rise wasn’t instant. Toomey finished 2nd at the CrossFit Games in 2015 and 2016, heartbreaks that only fueled her drive. In 2017, she secured her first title with a nail-biting 994–992 victory over Kara Webb. From there, her dominance became emphatic: a 64-point win in 2018, 195 points in 2019, 360 in 2020, and 256 in 2021. In 2022, against a younger field led by Mallory O’Brien and Emma Lawson, she still finished in the Top 5 in 11 events and won with a margin of 113 points. After taking the 2023 season off, Toomey returned in 2024 to reclaim her crown—securing her seventh CrossFit Games championship, more than any woman in history.

Alongside her Games dominance, Tia has also proven nearly untouchable at the Rogue Invitational, winning the title in 2019, 2020, 2021, and again in 2024 and 2025. Her ability to deliver across multiple event formats and disciplines has made her the benchmark for consistency and competitive excellence at every level of the sport.

Never one to shy away from new challenges, Toomey also entered the world of HYROX competition. In 2024 and 2025, she competed in several events, including setting a world record in the Pro Doubles division with partner Joanna Wietrzyk in Houston. She followed that up by placing third in her HYROX solo debut, signaling her potential to become a dominant force in yet another fitness arena.

In addition to her CrossFit and HYROX careers, Toomey made a serious push to qualify for the 2022 Winter Olympics as part of Australia’s two-woman bobsled team. She helped the squad earn a qualifying spot and even won an International Bobsleigh & Skeleton Federation race during her campaign—adding yet another impressive chapter to her multi-sport résumé.

It’s hard to imagine another athlete matching her range, drive, and longevity. Whether she’s dominating on the CrossFit floor, sliding down icy tracks at breakneck speeds, or setting world records in functional fitness, Tia-Clair Toomey-Orr continues to redefine what elite looks like.
