Nice and sturdy
Works well for barbells (including trap-bars) as well as dumbbells. I’ve even used them for chin-ups too, so they’re a solid choice for close to any exercise where you grip is the limiting factor.

Assistive tech. for upper limb birth defect
I bought this to help me work with my trainer on exercises that require grip. I do not have a right hand, my arm stops just below the elbow and this hook allows me to have a grip on some of her gym equipment.
The strap is very easily adjusted to fit as snug as I wants around my right arm and my left wrist. The velcro is very powerful so there is no risk of the strap “opening up”.
It was quite easy to figure out the best way to set up the strap so that the hooks are positioned for best grip!
Now the hook feels like an extension of my arm when I lift.

Lifting hooks

I do not like them
I expected them to work somewhat like wraps for gymnastics, but they slide down my wrists. I cannot get them tight enough, and the hooks are too sloppy of a fit. I end up holding the bar and lifting lighter weight as I did before I wasted the money on them. Also, I tried them to help with my pull-ups. Either I have to make them so tight I cut off my blood circulation or my joints feel like they are going to be ripped in half. Thanks. Maybe they work for some people, but not me. I am 5'7" and 190lbs. I am back to traditional wraps. Cannot beat some old ways of doing things.
