For all swing and rotational purposes this rope ball does what it should. But once I got competent at the motions and with the tool to start adding slams into my movements the ball only lasted a couple of work outs. Especially being that i got the biggest one, and most pictures show models using this to slam it into the ground, it should have been able to hold up to a little more powerful slams (and I'm a regualar hobby athlete, no out of this world explosiveness coming from me.) After getting to my second work out, excited to continue getting better at my slams, the ball split in half half way through my set. unfortunate, this was becoming one of my favorite tools.

I loved the swing ball, only problem is the metal tubing inside the ball isn't tapered off; nor is the rope taped or covered to prevent damage From scraping against the tubing. My ball didn’t last a year or even 6 months before the rope tore apart.

Need something to shake it up? Crush your core? This is it!! Error on the side of heavy, mine is 6lbs (so my daughters use it) but would always recommend a bigger one. It is of great quality and my cross country uses it alot. All in all, a great Rogue Fitness product.
