Reebok Nano X1 Frankenstein - Men’s

Harmony Green / Core Black / Pure Gray

The “Frankenstein” edition of the Men’s Nano X1 training shoe is “alive” and ready to tackle high intensity workouts or a night of trick-or-treating. Available in harmony green with monster-inspired outer stitching, the shoe is otherwise equipped just like the standard Nano X1, with a breathable flexweave knit upper, a heel clip for added stability, and Reebok’s lightweight Floatride Energy Foam in the forefoot for responsive cushioning.

As “the Official Shoe of Fitness,” the Nano series continues a tradition of pushing boundaries and redefining what an all-purpose cross-training shoe can do for and say about an athlete. Built for any type of movement, all X1 models come with an updated toe shape for freer multi-directional movement and a comfort collar for an all-day, locked-in feel. These new developments, combined with classic Nano features and style, put the X1 at the forefront of both durability and versatility, equally suited for sprints, squats, climbs, plyo, and everything in-between.

Hurt my feet
I’ve had these shoes a couple months now. I workout in them 2-3 times per week. I figured they just needed to get broke in at first but it’s not getting better. They continue to hurt my feet. I have super flat feet and they just work well with them.

Not my favorite
Overall, the shoe is fine and nothing is wrong with it. It just is not my favorite nor as comfortable as the nano x or the nano 9. Those shoes are maybe just a little higher. My foot also feels very elevated in this shoe

Met Con 7s continue solid
My first pair of 7s(bought directly from Nike) delaminated after two months. Never happened with any previous Met Cons. I hoped it was a freak so I got another pair from Rogue. No problem this time.

Comfy, Solid, and Lightweight
Good toe box like most nano's, super light and breathable, much better foot security that the Froning X1, and I like the white + gum look. Still prefer my Metcon's for heavy weightlifting/powerlifting but for anything else these are my go-to shoe. The letters on the heel came off but I'm not worried about that.

Almost Great
I purchased the for functional?HIT Training and some short <60 minute hiking sessions on the Peloton. I really wanted to like these as a great all-around shoe. Unfortunately, the rear of the shoe, I guess it would be the heel tab, is very high and rubs uncomfortably on the back of my foot/achilles causing blisters and bleeding almost every time. Not sure the purpose of such a high back, but I've had to stop wearing these for anything but lifting.

Terrible
These shoes absolutely suck. The heel is too high, too stiff, and curves in, making it very uncomfortable, and causing blisters. I thought they would eventually break in and become more comfortable, but they did not after 3 months of doing crossfit 6 days per week. Also the toe box is too narrow, increasing the discomfort. Terrible shoes. Previous versions of the Nano (8s) were far more comfortable, especially in the toe box, but Reebok went downhill since then.

Terrible Shoe
I bought these to replace my Nano 9's (which were also lacking in a few departments) and immediately thought "wow this is going to be a horrible experience". They look nice, sure, but there is WAY too much soul compression, especially in the heel. They do absolutely nothing to stabilize the foot or lock in in place no matter how tight it's tied (even to the point of pain). I use these shoes for strongman training, specifically in moving events and medleys. When it comes down to it, they do not stack up. Nano shoes have been going downhill for over half a decade in quality and longevity. If I can't move easily with a secure shoe doing strongman medleys, how could a crossfitter expect the same?
